### 1/5 — Don’t understand the purpose

*2026-04-17*

This is probably user error- but I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of this app. I fiddled with it for 1 hour and couldn’t get a simple model to load.

I downloaded all-MiniLLM and a bunch of other ones and the models never populated in my dropdown?

When I finally was able to get a model to populate, using it was quite literally the most frustrating experience of my life.

First of all: why does the model have to “load”. What the hell did I download it for? If there’s some other process of actually “loading” the model (whatever that means) why isn’t that explained during the installation process? Why is there literally no tutorial/guide at all in the app. I get that it’s tailored towards dev but even as a dev, it is not apparent how this app functions.

Additionally, the error didn’t even stack correctly on my screen. The z-index is way off so the error that my model needed to “initialize” was hidden behind the keyboard.

By the way it’s been 6 minutes and I’ve restarted the app twice- model still hasn’t “initialized”

I was really excited to use this and everything felt seamless up until I actually wanted to use a model.

It’s a sham this is what vibe (slop) coding has produced for the general public.
