Thank you for your understanding and support. ### 1/5 — Very Disappointing, Dont Install it *2026-07-22* As a longtime Ragnarok fan, this is one of the most disappointing versions of Ragnarok I’ve ever played. First, the optimization is terrible. My iPhone 17 became uncomfortably hot in less than two hours of gameplay, even with moderate settings. No mobile MMORPG should push a flagship phone this hard. Second, the progression system is frustrating. Spending time grinding monsters only to receive zero experience because of level restrictions completely kills the fun. Ragnarok has always been about exploring, grinding, and progressing at your own pace. Punishing players for fighting monsters is the opposite of what made the original game enjoyable. It honestly feels like the developers forgot what made Ragnarok special in the first place. Instead of rewarding players for playing the game, it constantly puts barriers in the way. I wanted to love this game, but in its current state, I can’t recommend it. As an OG RO player, they removed all of the soul for the game and added about twenty new micro transaction options and a gacha system. I wanted to love this and ended up leaving on day 3. There’s only one job per starting class, so no Monk, Alchemist, Gunslinger, or even Novices. Monsters do not give exp. in a game where community monster exp. farming was the soul. Cards aren’t ultra rare items from grinding, they’re common drops from basic mission rewards and AFKing. You can’t even 360 degree the view, the view is locked to about 10 degrees. I’m so disappointed in this rehash. I was really hoping to play RO on mobile the right way. It’s not optimized at all, with Balanced settings it heated my 17 Pro Max and killed the battery while stuttering frames, which shouldn’t be possible with a 17 Pro Max and a mobile game. Running it on MacBook Air M4 also wrecked its battery. I’m so disappointed in what they did with my #1 nostalgia IP. Getting a pop up to buy something before killing my first mob or going through tutorials.. crazy, I understand they have to make money back however focus on the game quality, story, mechanics first. I haven’t tried it yet but I can already say it’s going to be fantastic. I was a huge fan of the original RO. Nostalgia with my HS friends during emo times and bonding with my little brother. I think I will need a tank, a swords man, or an assassin. Ideally 2, to party with. I’m a bit shy and anti social despite this being an online game. There's some good value for low spenders, and the gameplay loop is fulfilling even for solo players. I have high hopes for this game and it hits that mmo itch that I've been looking for. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10. What would make it 10/10?
