### 2/5 — New update

*2026-04-01*

This new update requires me to download the PDF to view information every time I want to view the subdivision. I liked the prior version better; I could easily view the information at a glance without downloading or opening it in a browser.

### 3/5 — Love the App

*2025-03-05, version 2.2.4*

Love the app on the iOS version. However, would love to see an android version of the app. Little bit difficult to know where you’re at and location in which you’re working without this app. Please roll out an android version. Wanting to switch back to android device.

### 3/5 — Canada

*2024-01-28*

Can you add crossings in Canada please?

### 4/5 — Pretty Good

*2023-07-28*

It is a good app just need to fix small bugs because sometimes it will not load and I had perfect signal.

### 4/5 — great

*2022-01-10, version 2.2.3*

its good all it needs is a frequency & tones

### 2/5 — Not a very helpful app

*2021-11-27*

This app does not provide real time data such as when I train is approaching a crossing, in the actual crossing or if the train is stalled at a crossing. Not sure what good this app does if it doesn’t help eliminate delays for motorist who have to wait for a crossing to clear. I gave it 2 stars because it does provide a phone number to call in the event there is an emergency.

### 2/5 — Not working

*2021-11-09, version 2.2.3*

Can you please help me my railroad locator not working I try everything still not working

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-08-24, version 2.2.3*

The app returned zero information and couldn’t locate any rail crossings in Houston, despite being yards away from one blocked crossing.

### 1/5 — App stinks

*2021-08-23, version 2.2.3*

1)The app never works 2)Crossings are in middle of OCEAN sometimes 3) Does not update 4) Wrong information about the railroad crossing I could go on and and So to play with The App is ok To Depend on it is horrible

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with cellular data

*2021-08-01, version 2.2.3*

Worked fine in my older iPhone but on the iPhone 12Pro it only works in WiFi. I’ve been through all the settings with no luck. Useless in the field…

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2021-07-24, version 2.2.3*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Getting worse

*2026-05-16*

Crossing info is not as user friendly as in the past. Basic info not displayed as clearly. Also, this app used to show nearby crossings. Now it does not. Connected to office wifi - won't show crossings. Connected to 5G in the field- won't show crossings. Search by railroad - won't show crossings. The only way to see a crossing is to search exact DOT number.

### 1/5 — Don’t fix what wasn’t broken.

*2026-05-15*

This App was perfectly fine before they updated it a couple of months ago. Now, it sometimes doesn’t load any crossings, can’t find your location, has the wrong crossing number, and various other issues. You should also have the option to open in Apple Maps. The old App just used the device default, this opens Google Maps!

### 1/5 — "Whats new"

*2026-05-15, version 2.3.1*

App used to work great, used to! Sometimes just leave things alone!

### 1/5 — No crossings

*2025-03-21, version 2.2.4*

To my amazement, the app decides to show NO crossings on my iPhone. Could anyone explain why the crossings app has no crossings? No i don’t think anyone can.

### 1/5 — Apple really is better huh?

*2024-08-21, version 2.2.4*

Literally no crossings showing up on my iphone 13. A crossings app with no crossings. Works just fine on my s23.

### 1/5 — Does Not Load Crossings

*2023-01-22, version 2.2.3*

This app is basically worthless. It does load the crossings or crossings into. What’s the point?? It worked in the past. Apparently, no one is keeping up with this app.

### 1/5 — APP NOT WORKING

*2022-01-11, version 2.2.3*

In the past this app worked correctly but, for the last few months I have not been able to pull up a single crossing. Please fix this soon. This app used to be really helpful.

### 1/5 — Please Update

*2021-12-30, version 2.2.3*

It’s been one year since app was updated. RR signs will not show up and constantly crashes now. Something has to give!

### 1/5 — Latest update has rendered app useless

*2021-09-19, version 2.2.3*

As a emergency responder we use this app to locate nearest crossings. Now that the latest update has come out the crossings don’t show up.

### 1/5 — Stopped loading any crossings.

*2021-09-16, version 2.2.3*

Loved the app with my job as a operating manager. It has stopped working and will. It show one crossing at all.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2026-07-07*

Don’t understand why the reviews are so low this app is amazing and can help u navigate any grade crossing. Best app ever

### 5/5 — No email confirmation received

*2026-05-10*

My only disappointment is I no longer receive an email confirmation from the Federal Railroad Administration thanking me for reporting a problem concerning my local railroad crossing. I wonder why?

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2023-06-20*

This app is quite great there are lots of information. Also it should add what type of bell the crossing has

### 5/5 — I LOVE This App!!

*2023-04-11*

I've loved Trains (Diesel that is), ever since I was a kid and to this day, will take a back road on the way home from work where there is a RR Crossing, in hopes of seeing one of the CSX Freights go by. Today, I took that route and the Crossing Lights and Arms were STUCK, about a quarter of the way down and no train was anywhere near for miles and it was causing DANGEROUS problems. I called the phone number that was listed for that crossing and gave them the Crossing ID number. They immediately pulled it up an dispatched someone from CSX, out to the Crossing! THANK YOU, for a great App and for providing VERY important info on the Map, that hopefully, may have saved some lives!!

### 5/5 — Really good app

*2022-04-02*

I think this is a really good app. Although it does not show if a train is stopped at a crossing, it shows max speed, average speed, trains per day, etc. Overall, if you need a map to see if tracks are near, download this.

### 5/5 — Great For Emergency Services

*2022-02-25*

Fantastic app for Emergency Services in identifying information about a particular crossing. Allows for users to pass on information to host railroads of stalked vehicles or debris on track right of way. Allows train crews to locate crossing information and relay that to Emergency Services.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-10-04*

I love this app and reading the accident reports by where I live it’s very interesting and as a trainspotter the app shows you milepost markers which is amazing Great app I love it.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2021-03-26*

I am a railfan see trains every Friday and in a big city and almost every time a train is there one day a I saw a train and I wished I had this lost the lead loco then one day I searched this and bam I have it and yeah it works so good I love this app

### 5/5 — Make Things Easier

*2020-05-27*

Tried to get rail crossing information from the Federal Railway Administration website. What a pain. This app is sooo much easier.

### 5/5 — Good Resource

*2020-01-27*

Nifty app to identify grade crossings and railroads that maintain them. Includes links to accident reports useful for assessing safety and historical reference. Criticism that app should indicate position of gates in live time is not realistic. For one reason not all crossings have gates. This is particularly true on Class III railroads in rural areas.
