There were no warnings about regional “power failures,” impacted lines, or anything that would have signaled we were buying tickets on a train that didn’t exist. There was no communication leading up to the travel, we only learned the train was cancelled at the station. I cannot wait to cancel my account and never interact with these people again. ### 2/5 — OK when it works *2026-06-23, version 5.2.0* I am travelling in Europe on Interrail. I used the app to make some reservations successfully. One day I bought a ticket through the app for a short distance not worth using a day from my pass. 1. It offered no convenient payment methods, I had to enter my credit card information in a busy railway station making me feel vulnerable 2. A short while later on the train when I needed to show the ticket, the app had logged me out, I was unable to log in, no WiFi no cell signal. Luckily the train guard had seen this before and was able to suggest looking in my email. ### 3/5 — Platform is good, but use website, not app *2026-06-19, version 5.2.0* It is often the cheapest platform to do CFAR on UK rail Advance tickets, so you can lock in a higher price. It is cost effective for £10-£20 checkouts as no booking fee and low CFAR fee. Unlike Trainline it only has a booking fee for larger checkouts. However, there is no split ticketing so I sometimes use another app such as Trainsplit to find the split tickets I need to use. Use the website instead of the app. It’s faster and you can go back etc. The app is just the website but more restricted. You can’t do anything offline. ### 2/5 — No barcodes in app, keeps logging you out *2026-06-13, version 5.2.0* Compared to every other rail app in Western Europe this is amateurish: No barcodes for seat reservations in app, and keeps logging you out! Endless wasted time for SNCF conductors ### 3/5 — Expiration Booking Time *2026-05-28, version 5.2.0* It’s too crazy, get expired too fast if u try to book multi route ### 1/5 — Not worth using this service *2026-04-10, version 5.2.0* I bought tickets to and from Madrid to Malaga. The trips were cancelled and Rail Europe only informed me of one of them. It is better to book directly with the train company. I will never use again. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t provide enough information *2026-04-10, version 5.2.0* No way to find information about booked train caused us to get on an earlier train and have to pay a large fee. Do not recommend. ### 3/5 — Used to be great, but now has issues! *2026-03-22, version 5.2.0* This used to be my main app for European rail travel, but not now. Have to log in every time I open the app, need to reset my password regularly, and display on iPhone 16 is random at best. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t even do the minimum *2026-02-24, version 5.2.0* This app is absolute garbage. It provides not even basic functionality. My ticket is a PDF hosted in the app so one would think this ticket could be used with the ticket checker on the train. But no, the in app PDF does not allow you to zoom in on the QR code preventing it from being read. So you have to use the ticket they email to you. The app has zero integration with any of the train stations or operators. So in order to know what platform to go to you must go to the station website. To summarize instead of this app being a “one stop shop” you have to go to you email and a website instead. This app either has zero funding or the developers lack any professional pride or common sense. ### 1/5 — Do not use this App service *2025-11-23, version 5.1.0* I booked a semi-flexible ticket but the App didn’t offer the “click” button per the instructions provided. I tried to make contact but you can only submit an email and they get back to you 24hrs later. You also can not make changes with the rail provider as the rail provider told me I had to go back to Rail Europe to make any changes.
