## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful App

*2025-10-24*

This app does not work! I have tried to look at the schedule and buy a pass without any luck.

### 1/5 — App glitch

*2025-10-20*

Purchased ticket on the app had an error that it couldn’t go through but it charged my CC. Customer service advised to “add funds” to account then purchase ticket, which worked. Also, I learned that it’s better to have an account rather than purchasing without out one just in case you need to call and speak with customer service.

### 1/5 — Broken

*2025-08-25*

Tried to buy a ticket on the app, it doesn’t work, tried to buy a ticket on their website, it doesn’t work. Why even have an app if neither platform works. Just buy tickets on the train. I’ve never even taken this train but it must be easier than trying to buy them digitally.

### 1/5 — Just plain terrible

*2024-09-28*

The previous app was much better! Wonder what the heck happened? The RailRunner is wonderful, the crew and being on time are second to none.

This app is so weird and cumbersome. Whomever created it, needs a new job elsewhere!

### 1/5 — Not helpful in purchasing of tickets

*2024-09-04*

The app has no features in it to make sure you purchase the correct ticket, I had purchased a reduced fare ticket think it was the regular monthly pass. When the ticket attendant came by she asked for a student id for the ticket which I did not have because there isn’t anything information about what ticket you need to buy.

### 1/5 — Purchased tickets do not register in ticket wallet

*2024-08-19*

When you buy tickets they don’t show in the app. You can still use them by showing the email receipt.

### 1/5 — Payments keep failing

*2024-07-20*

Do not use this app, payments fail but your card gets charged.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-06-23*

I’ve been trying to buy tickets for the past half hour and whatever method of payment I select it keeps declining because of some unknown error. I’ve got plenty of money on the cards in question so that’s not an issue and I double checked the information multiple times. It’s a problem with their app. I even added some money to my account with Apple Pay, thinking this would go through, and now I can’t use it. Guess I’ll just buy the tickets on the train. At least now clicking on schedule info sends you to their website which has up to date info instead of the old app where the schedules were wrong.

### 2/5 — Are online desktop ticket purchases gone?

*2025-02-26*

I don’t like that now I HAVE to download the app to buy a ticket online. What if someone goes to the library and needs to print it out or something? It just seems not accessible for all. And it doesn’t have the cashapp option.

### 3/5 — Not bad, could use some improvement

*2024-09-10*

Not a bad new app for the train. I like the purchasing process, and I appreciate the fact that tickets can be purchased via ApplePay. The schedule section is where this app falls flat. This feature should be right on the app. I don't like the fact that it takes me to the website just to see a small schedule. Overall, however, I like this app better than the old Rio ticketing app, and I hope to see this new app get refined. It has a lot of potential.

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New App seems to work fine.

*2025-07-31*

Took a day trip from ABQ to SF. Downloaded it, paid for the day pass with Apple Pay all in about 3 minutes. Will use it on the buses in SF for the rest of the day. App does what it’s supposed to do.

### 5/5 — Worked for me

*2024-11-01*

I made an account first and the was able to bit tix with Apple Pay and view them through the app
