### 4/5 — Good, but not for the casual gamer

This is well designed, well constructed game, but after a few levels, it becomes far too hard for casual gaming. If you have the time and the intelligence, I can imagine it’s very rewarding. But for me it was just a case of pressing hint and hint.
Being challenging, but also playable is a difficult thing to achieve.

I loved this game until the level 5 games. After that I just couldn’t figure out what was going on. Excellent concept and great design, but do I really need a Math PhD to progress beyond level 5? Yours sincerely, random Thicko. I just wanted to pass some time whilst commuting to work…

Fascinating game, with tons of mechanics and clever ways to solve a puzzle. But after I finished the whole game, there wasn’t anything to do. And i expect more content or more replay value based on the price that i have paid. There is a sandbox mod but its rather rigid. Never the less, fantastic game but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who wants a longer experience

Nicely designed game that is easy to get started with yet clever and tricky enough to challenge you thoroughly. Looks deceptively simple and almost childlike in the screenshots but make no mistake — this is not child’s play

This game is one of the best logic games I’ve played. I love the complex levels and gives you a challenge. I’m not sure if there will be anymore content updates but I would definitely love it if there was. Seriously, amazing game.

I’m only on level 4 (doing all of the extra levels too) and this is exactly what I was wanting from the pictures and videos I saw.

It’s a tiny bit harder than I thought it would be which is perfect. Some solutions have made me just watch them play over and over with a burst of the same satisfaction of the element I’ve just been challenged to learn. I’m also as happy to find a walkthrough and deconstruct an answer then try it from scratch, which is a delightful feeling. So well done team.

The art style is also perfectly balanced with enough joy in the playing pieces not to distract but with oodles of charm. I hugely appreciate the art direction so well done team again.

Just the right level of challenge and variety.  Graphics and audio are basic, but aesthetically quite pleasing.  The new cloud saves are great.  I haven’t gotten to the new levels yet, though the ability to skip ahead is appreciated.  One issue for me on an M1 iPad Pro is battery drain is VERY high, even compared with other seemingly more power hungry apps and games.  Other than that very happy!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind words. The new update also introduced 120FPS support for devices like the iPhone Pro and iPad Pro which might contribute to battery drain. If the battery drain is too intense, try modifying the Quality options (found in Settings > Display) or enable Battery Saver (Settings > Other) to reduce refresh rate and preserve battery when necessary :)

Ein bisschen was zum grübeln. Wenn man mal nicht weiter kommt, dann klappt es meistens am nächsten Tag doch :)

Really addictive, very challenging game. I can’t stop playing.
Well done. 

I would love to see a cloud sync, so I can continue the stage between iPhone and iPad. I hope to see the next release to utilize iCloud sync

The game has no tutorial and no hints.  The “puzzles” have too many restrictions and only one way to solve them.  
It looked fun but it’s just a rude awakening to the fact that it’s not fun and you’re out $4.

However, Railbound does contain a tutorial for every new mechanic we introduce, as well as a Hint System that can be enabled in Settings > Accessibility. Sobald man glaubt, einigermaßen verstanden zu haben worauf es ankommt, kommt auch schon der nächste Frust-Level. 

Ich werde das letzte Drittel wohl nie sehen, schade, wieder Geld zum Fenster rausgeworfen.

初めて10秒でやめた。★5のステキなゲーム、と思って購入したけど、DL前によく見ると、一つか二つのレビューのみ。失敗したかな？と思ってやり始めたけど5秒でやめました。子ども騙しっていうか、「うん、線路つながったね。だから何？」っていう感じ。頭を使う面白さやパズルの醍醐味はありません。開発者はもっと続けてくれればそういう問題もある、と言うだろうけど、そこまでメンタル持たないぐらいの退屈さ。ただ線路をなぞるだけ、とか、線路切り替えるだけとか、辛すぎて耐えられなかった。

Bon casse-tête dont certains puzzles sont bien difficiles et une bonne durée de vie. Attention cependant, il fait chauffer très fortement la tablette, je n’y joue plus à cause de cela. I Pad air 2, v 15.8

Perfekt für alle, die gern Rätsel lösen. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad variiert, manchmal geht’s schnell und manchmal muss man etwas länger überlegen. Macht großen Spaß!
