### 3/5 — A question

*2026-02-18, version 2.0.5*

So when I am not using any wifi but I use my 4G it doesn’t show the trains, can you maybe check to see if you can fix it and being able to see trains without my Wi-Fi?

### 2/5 — Zoom still buggy

*2025-08-07, version 1.2.5*

Update list in AppStore shows bug with zoom taking you through a portal to some random location fixed. Still occurs on the latest version.

### 3/5 — Stopped Working

*2025-07-30, version 1.2.5*

Been using app for sometime and last few days no service … tried to contact support but no luck

### 3/5 — Great app, but still more changes

*2024-07-01, version 1.2.1*

What a great app now it looks better and good thing this app is coming back up again. I would like to see more changes like when you zoom out then it just flings you down to England or another area, that’s need to be changed and also some minor things too so for freight trains and other trains that you can’t see should be easily accessible. Great work!!

### 1/5 — Map

*2024-01-22, version 1.0.7*

Map not showing any trains at all

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2024-01-04, version 1.0.7*

Despite being advertised as “new” (2024-01-04) on their website this is 4 year’s old, bug ridden, map does not work, I’m stood on the platform with the actual train stationary in front of me but this shows the train some miles from arriving. (When the train does appear zooming out ) It shows phantom trains, trains arriving on wrong platforms etc. if you need a reliable travel companion this is not the app to use!

### 1/5 — No map

*2024-01-03, version 1.0.7*

Use to be able to view map, but for over a year it’s just a white screen with the openstreetmap logo showing at bottom right. Using on iPhone with latest iOS. So no good for tracking trains visually

### 2/5 — Has something changed?

*2023-12-11, version 1.0.7*

Used to be ok but now it doesn’t seem to work, no connection is often reported and the live map is not showing anything like the website

### 1/5 — Great Idea - If Only if Worked

*2023-11-13, version 1.0.7*

I love the idea of this app but it doesn’t work as it should. The map jumps around when you try to move or zoom, and worse, it reports there is no internet connection (there is) so it doesn’t show any trains.

### 1/5 — Very poor.

*2023-09-10, version 1.0.7*

To be completely honest. This is a good idea but poorly executed. Zoom in I’m in Plymouth zoom out I’m in the middle of the sea. Can’t track all trains just the ones people have logged. Two steam engines rolled through. Never showed on the map. I wish you’d take a leaf out of Flightradar24 or ADBS to keep track of all trains and locos

### 1/5 — Ok

*2023-08-06, version 1.0.7*

Crashing when I zoom in, goes in different places, but will be a good app if didn’t do that , and the writing was a lot clearer!!!

### 3/5 — Not fantastic, yet

*2023-02-02, version 1.0.7*

An update message 3 years ago said a bug was fixed that stops jumping to random locations. Sorry guys, it’s still doing it, in 2023, with an iPhone 8. This could be a great app but it needs more work. ☹️

### 2/5 — Great concept but badly executed

*2022-12-30, version 1.0.7*

This app is an amazing concept good for rail fans but whenever I zoom in on the map it puts me anywhere but that place. Tried tracking a train from the search and went onto the map and o saw nothing, it was just blank. Last time this app was updated was 3 years ago and they said they had fixed this issue. Judging from this they probably won’t fix this. Would not reccomend.

### 1/5 — Needs bugs removed

*2022-12-09, version 1.0.7*

Great idea but moving around the map is like a mystery tour. You end up miles away from where you are viewing. Which makes the map unusable.

### 1/5 — Sadly this doesn’t work

*2022-03-29, version 1.0.7*

The app is very broken. The map is unusable it just doesn’t work at all really. Couldn’t even get the map to stay still it kept bugging and moving back to London area and even then there’s no trains being shown

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-03-01, version 1.0.7*

This app doesn’t work anymore, whatever internet connection I am in (Mobile Data, Hotspot, etc..) it says no internet connection.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Map Problems

*2026-02-20, version 2.0.5*

The map is covered in black rectangles almost obliterating the detail.

### 1/5 — Never works

*2025-07-14, version 1.2.5*

I’ve been trying to track cargo trains but nothing comes and it’s broken

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work at all

*2025-05-12, version 1.2.5*

The map is entirely broken it’s saying I don’t have any internet when I do, please fix all the bugs thanks.

### 1/5 — La pire application.

*2024-11-03*

### 1/5 — Map so buggy

*2024-07-23, version 1.2.5*

Launched me all over the place when i zoom in

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-06-19, version 1.0.7*

Such a great idea but incredibly buggy! Last updated 4 years ago so I doubt developer will bother making any improvements, such a shame.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-06-12, version 1.0.7*

Absolute rubbish. Impossible to use. Randomly jumps when zooming in and unable to follow anything. Uninstalled immediately.

### 1/5 — Good concept horrible play out

*2024-06-07, version 1.0.7*

I’ll say this this app had my expectations up high and made them come crashing down it says to centre your map in your location so I zoom to the part of Scotland I live in and it pulls me back to London . Not worth your time

### 1/5 — Map

*2024-02-25, version 1.0.7*

Great idea but the map will jump went your zooming in to find a train so that need fixing immediately.

### 1/5 — Obviously not supported anymore

*2024-02-15, version 1.0.7*

Like many other recent reviewers I find it just won’t display train locations in real time. It’s therefore useless.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-03-04, version 2.0.13*

Really great to see where trains are in real time

### 5/5 — Transformed App!

*2026-02-18, version 2.0.5*

Updated my review as the app has been significantly updated and works really well for me. Pro users may want more but for occasional hobby type use it is great.

Hopefully in future it will also track heritage type trains like steam trains and enable you to see where they are operating, now that would be a game changer!

Great work Dev Team 👍🏼

### 5/5 — Useful fun app

*2021-11-20, version 1.0.7*

A useful fun app that's working well on my iPhone 1st edition 2016 SE phone.

Great to be able to track trains in real time. Thanks

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for

*2021-02-02, version 1.0.7*

Handy app, does crash occasionally but does the job.

### 4/5 — Good but one improvement.

*2023-08-03, version 1.0.7*

This app is good for travel, all trains are accurate except there’s no avanti west coast! Please improve this.
You can see every class 390/pendelino still uses virgin trains, but this app is great for train enthusiasts & people who don’t know when the trains are arriving.
Well done creating this app!

### 4/5 — Pretty good concept!

*2022-04-11, version 1.0.7*

I just installed it today, and I think it’s pretty good. It shows me trains travelling live on the tracks, it shows me service information and even freight trains, which is what I didn’t expect from an app showing live trains.

### 4/5 — Not bad at all

*2019-10-10, version 1.0.7*

Look, it’s not the slickest app going, but the content is excellent. All the official rail apps I’ve used provide inaccurate data, but this one shows you where the trains real are. I no longer use the national rail or operator apps and now I’m wondering why they don’t use the same data as raildar

### 4/5 — Problem

*2019-08-08, version 1.0.7*

There are two types of virgin trains. 221 and 390. But they don’t tell you which one is.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2019-07-03, version 1.0.7*

That’s great App and I love using this when I’m out and about, really good for knowing when the next train is and being able to track the incoming trains. The only problem is some of the Freight Trains do not load the timetable, but besides from this, amazing app.

### 4/5 — It’s good

*2019-03-31*

It’s a very good concept. However, the map needs improving in regards to zooming in and out (sometimes I get flung to the other side of the UK) and refreshing. If these are improved, I would definitely give 5 stars! 👍
