Eigentlich eine super App, allerdings läd die Karte ab einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt einfach gar nicht mehr und man muss die App schließen und dann neu öffnen, bis das Problem wieder auftritt.. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass es mal eine Zeit lang besser war, jetzt jedenfalls nicht mehr :/

Ich nutze die App auch beruflich da ich bei der Bahn tätig bin und ich mich damit sehr gut orientieren kann. Es wäre allerdings wünschenswert, wenn man die Maps kombinieren kann, sodass man weichennummern, signallennungen etc direkt in einem bild hat. Außerdem wäre es super, wenn man diese einzelnen Bauteile über die suche finden könnte. (Ich gebe z.B. ein AA453 und er zeigt mir das entsprechende Signal an. Als I Tüpfelchen wäre dann die App auf Deutsch auch noch der Wahnsinn.

Die Overlays für Signalsysteme, Stromsysteme usw. sind OK. Mir fehlt eine Legende direkt in der Karte und der Standort wird immer mal wieder gar nicht aktualisiert. Zu hakelig.

Es werden andere Informationen als im Bahnatlas dargestellt, dennoch weniger detailreich. Kein Ersatz für den gedruckten Bahnatlas.

Beim Benutzen lädt die App früher oder später keine Karte mehr nach und man muss sie neustarten. Problem besteht auf verschiedenen IOS Geräten schon seit mindestens 5 Jahren und wird nicht behoben

Cool app but it’s a little glitchy. When zooming in sometimes the map/track won’t load so you have to zoom out then back in again to get it to hopefully “reset”. Wish that could get fixed

Tracks stop showing up after using the app for a few minutes. It’s just a glorified front end for openrailwaymap and the developer didn’t even bother to change the name of the app from Mapply.

I like it. I keep it on my main page on my iPhone. It’s missing a few lines here and there, has a few others that I was not aware of, even in PA. Recommended for train enthusiasts, rail trails users, outdoorsmen/hunters, historians, anyone who lives somewhere rural near old or abandoned lines.

Die App ist als DB Mitarbeiter sehr gut sich zu orientieren. Es könnten aber nach und nach mehr Weichennummern etc. Integriert werden. Und wäre auch top wenn man direkt die Koordinaten beim antippen auf ein Standort rauskopieren könnte so ähnlich wie bei google maps.

Ich nutze die App im Profibereich, also in der Schienennetz-Instandhaltung. Als Kartenmaterial ist das in Ordnung und man kann sich damit behelfen. Ist für jeden halt selber die Frage zustellen, ob es nicht langt über eine Navigationsapp nachzuschauen. Klar sind die Schienen da nicht benannt, aber man kommt auch so zurecht.
So, da sind wir jetzt auch an dem Punkt der mich gewaltig stört.
Ich gebe die Koordination ein und sehe über Satellit schön das Gleis von oben ???
Und jetzt??? Ja, ich kann mir das anschauen & hineinzoomen…rauszoomen…besser als nichts.
Es fehlt aber eine Navigation zur Stelle und eine klar sichtbare Richtung zur Orientierung.
Das fehlen dieser Funktionen kostet bei der Arbeit viel Zeit. Über einen Layer könnte man auch die Regelfahrtrichtung anzeigen lassen und viele währen sehr,sehr froh darüber. 

Trotzdem vielen Dank das es diese App gibt,
sie hat mir schon sehr geholfen.

The the app‘s functionality’s great. It’s the perfect map for everybody who loves trains. 

But why does it have so many ad partners who want to collect all sorts of data?

I like that Railmap allows to opt out of data collection. But why is this opt out necessary in the first place? What data do these ad partners collect and sell? This data collection seems excessive for a paid app.

Whenever the app is opened, it says the app is reading the clipboard from your device (new security feature in iOS14). I don’t see any reason why a map app needs to do this secretly.
