I have loved rainbow love free edition for years. Mine stopped working for art cards so when I checked App Store and saw a buy edition, I figured maybe that would solve the issue. 
Nope. 
Bought this and art cards does not work. 
I hope they can fix it bc with everything working this is a 5 star app.

I was so excited to find this app, even more excited to click through the different ways I could put the rainbow into the pic. I was in heaven. Then I click save to photos and it removed the filter. I e now got 20 or so duplicates of the picture in my photos. Did I miss something??

Way too limited in editing options, every time you try to add something it wants you to pay more, I was charged $5.99 when it said that that particular bundle was free and even after being charged and constantly trying to restore my purchase it keeps asking me to upgrade so that I can use the features. This is a horrible app. Save your time and money

I never review anything, but you can tell how much love and care was put into this app. I love how simple everything is, how beautiful the filters are, and how much care about the user and product that the developers put into it.
I’m definitely considering purchasing the deluxe, just to show my appreciation for the designers, even though what comes free is more than enough to make any photo beautiful :-)

Update: The new update came through and fixed the image crashing! After using the app to make a few pictures with my daughter, I can report that she loved it! I would still say though, I think the basic features off this app need to be a stand alone app. With an in app purchase to unlock the rest of the features. Charging even a minimal $.99 for the basic features generates cash flow, but ultimately restricts sales. How often have we all stood in a store or at a screen at home staring at movies thinking “yeeeeah but what if I don’t like it”? When you have that free app, supported with ads, hundreds of thousands of users will download it. Generating revenue from the ads on an ongoing basis, plus giving you the possibility of hundreds of thousands of users upgrading to the premium version. When you purchase an app most users expect everything to be unlocked because they paid already. Even though your product is worth it, it creates a mindset of “I already paid, why do I have to pay again to a greedy developer?”. The perception is wrong. I really think if this app was spun into 2 versions, 1 that’s free with ads, that gets maybe monthly or bi-monthly filter updates(a few free filters every so often to create a need to keep coming back) with the option of an IAP to upgrade to the full feature set, plus a second app of the full feature set right away, that this could be a really great app. I mean who doesn’t like rainbows? Lol maybe it’s just my sunny disposition on life but I mean c’mon who could hate on a rainbow! And the pics look great! Being a single dad is, well let’s just say it’s not fantastic. But I do my best, and I think I’m amazing. Having little things like this that me and my daughter can do together and that I can use to help push the creative and imaginative side of her is invaluable to me. She’s my little mini me and a budding flower child and she’s in love with putting rainbows on every picture we take now lol. 
Again we love your app, I would just suggest you contact your coder(s) and make it clear they either have the skills to crank out what you want and need for your sustainability, or it’s replacement time. Fiverr has a great number of coders desperate for the work at beyond reasonable rates. I wish you the best of luck, and I really do think you have a good idea here, the execution just needs to be right. 

Old horrible review:
I hate writing negative reviews, I don’t like to do it. But honestly this one deserved it. You pay .99 for an app that should be free. Many many many editors exist that are fantastic and free and that deal with rainbows as well. I agree on having a paid version as well. The best business models are a free app and a paid app loaded with goodies. The user comes to love your app and you would be surprised how many upgrade. Especially with a starting price of free, you will have hundreds of thousands of downloads instead of just a few thousand. So your potential upgrades goes thru the roof. I’d also like to say that I have a 2 star review because I downloaded, loaded the app, tapped on my photo and it asked for permission, I granted it, then the app crashed. So I reloaded it, tapped my photo, 2 second wait, then crash. Went and checked my security app settings to make sure permission to access photos was on, it was. Tried again and yup crash. So I deleted it, restarted my phone (iPhone 8 plus running iOS 12.1) and reinstalled. I was hopeful this time. Loaded the app with my 5 year old daughter next to me telling me she was convinced that I had fixed it. But alas, again it crashed. Seems your latest update is bug ridden. The other thing I would say is that I tapped on cards and they came up, but when tapping on image nothing would show but there was no crash. The cards section is confusing for most users I would imagine. Most editors have the only choices of pick a photo or take a photo. From there you are given all the art and editing tools. But the card section is shown to you right off the bat. There isn’t much in the way of direction here. You open the app and think ok what next? Bit confusing but I’m not a beginner. The main issue is the crashing when I try to get to one of my photos, making the app useless. If this issue is fixed, I will certainly use the app and give an honest review. I gave 2 stars because I saw promise in the app, like we might enjoy it. But alas, the crashing, and having to pay for a basic app that should be free. I am all about a small home developer striking out to make a buck. More power to you! I like that in fact, drew me to the app. But if your going to put up an app, it has to work. I hope you get this fixed. My daughter wants to rainbow her dog lol. Thank you for reading!

Super excited to use, I downloaded and it crashed.  Than I upgraded to deluxe thinking it would be better but that keeps crashing!!! After rebooting my cell,  reloading app several times I am sadly left without any rainbow magic.  Please advise?

I avoided updating this app for a very long time because I loved it so much and I have found that usually updates are not improvements. Unfortunately I decided to go for it and immediately regretted it. 
I not only completely regret updating this app but I am shocked at how much was removed!! It is not even close to being the same app I originally downloaded and I would like to remove this update. 
Of course that’s not possible so I will eventfully delete it. Thanks for ruining a good thing.

This used to be the BEST app for rainbow and glitter overlays. No app compared to how amazing it was. Now it’s literally just rainbows which can’t even be altered other than rotation.  I’m soooooooo sad. Been searching for something comparable and… nothing.

**Developer response:** Thank you for letting me know, and I’m so sorry you can’t access the old filters. I had to update the previous version to keep up with iOS changes, and I realize this is a big shift for people who loved the original filters and effects.

We released a new version this week, and another update is planned in the next month or two. I’ll be looking at which past filters and overlays can be brought back from the original app. I’d love to make Rainbow Love the app you come back to for your creative posts.

What have you done to this app?! This has been the ultimate, best ever photo editing app that I’ve used for literally every social media post for the past 6 years. Without warning I’ve logged in today and everything has gone! We are left with 3 standard photo sizes that don’t fit my photos (and you cant even move the photo around to resize it within each standard size so it cuts off my photos) and all the incredible filters and effects are GONE! The new rainbow effect options are lovely as always but the filters are terrible now. The wonderful dreamy affects you could create before have been swapped for a pink filter, a brown filter, a blue filter etc. 
I am begging you to please bring back the old app, it was the best photo editing app out there. I realise you need to make money at the end of the day so why not re-release it as a paid subscription app? I would gladly pay you monthly to be able to continue using it.
Also the dreamy “opaque” effects and photo brightening options were the best things about the original app but the 1 standard brightening affect on your newly revised app takes ages to apply and then doesn’t even work? PLEASE bring back the old app and charge us - we will pay it!

Hi Rainbow Tribe! The art cards are still not working. The screen is blank when I tap. I re-downloaded it twice but still no success. This was my most used app the past few years and I love it when it works.

As others have noted; you pay, you import, you tweak and adjust, then when you click “save” if enlarges and blurs the rainbow you created.  Over and over with same results.  
Oh and the cost also includes App Program LOGO on each photo; free at no cost to you…. Want it removed? Pay another dollar….  Forget this app even exists and look elsewhere.

Just got this app. Every time I try to save to my phone the app crashes. I upgraded to the deluxe version because maybe it wouldn’t crash too, but it crashes every time! So frustrating because I’ve never found certain fonts and the rainbow color aspect is beautiful. Such a let down.

I can’t believe this app isn’t used by more people. It is honestly the best app I have ever used for cresting and editing, it’s an absolute dream to work with. It has everything you need all contained in one app - whoever made this is a genius because it’s literally idiot proof!! When you think about how much it costs to buy an adobe package compared to this, it’s peanuts. You should really put your prices up esp if you’re able to resolve the issues where it sometimes takes a while for things to load (I’ve never been able to load the gallery!) but hands down the best app EVER and I use it for pretty much every pic on my social media. It’s honestly amazing and I can’t recommend it enough. I wish I hadn’t wasted so much money buying other apps when this was here the whole time! I’ve been using it for four months now and have the normal version and deluxe (not really sure what the difference is tbh as I have purchased everything in both apps). Definitely would 1 million percent recommend downloading if you love creating beautiful content!! I wish I could give you 100 stars! WELL DONE!!!xx

This app is perfect for my business! As a designer, I appreciate the variety of filters and font choices. It allows me to make a quick graphic for Instagram that normally would take me much longer to create without the app. There are many choices available which are free to use - and even more choices for a small fee.

This is by far my favorite app to edit photos with! It’s user-friendly and the possibilities are endless. I am a poet, and i use the filters to bring a whimsical feel to my work. Rainbows are so hopeful and healing. I highly recommend RainbowLove for all of your creative endeavors!
