### 3/5 — Ain’t matching

*2026-08-25, version 3.1.60*

Numbers from app don’t match numbers on rain gauge

### 4/5 — Radar needs work

*2026-08-18, version 3.1.57*

Does what it says with rain totals and has a nice set up to itemize favorite areas with relevant info. It's just the design of the radar that I don't like. Need it more realistic than looking like mist floating on a map.

### 3/5 — Great but freezes my phone!

*2026-08-13*

I'd give this app more stars but not 5 because the pricing is too much. The main issue I have is that if I take a screenshot in this app it locks my phone to the point I need to power cycle it.

### 4/5 — Reading past rainfall

*2026-08-02, version 3.1.56*

Cant figure this out

### 2/5 — Not responsive

*2026-07-28, version 3.1.55*

So I subscribed, which may be very short lived. Hours ago I tried to log in and it wouldn’t recognize my PW. SO hit forgot PW and go a message telling me to check my email for direction on how to reset. STILL waiting. I’ll change my review if you actually send me an email with the directions.

### 2/5 — That’s a 62% difference

*2026-07-26, version 3.1.54*

Rain totals not very accurate compared to actual gage.
YTD by RainDrop-12.87”
Actual rain gage-8.11”
That’s a 62% difference

### 3/5 — Inaccurate location

*2026-07-24*

I have the pin set on my exact location, but the app gives me a location that is two towns away, 12 or more miles. In trying to solve this, they keep asking me for screenshots of what I am seeing in the app. It only takes one screenshot to see that the pin and the town they are assigning as my location are pretty far apart. If they can’t get this basic thing resolved, what does this say about the accuracy of rain data anywhere?

**Developer response:** Hi there, we still have a free tier for two locations. Try updating the app, and if you’re still having problems, contact us through the in-app chat support so we can help resolve the issue.

### 3/5 — Cannot add locations u

*2026-07-20, version 3.1.52*

I really want to love this app, but I cannot add any locations no matter what I try. I created an account with email/password. Please advise

### 4/5 — Can’t subscribe

*2026-07-15, version 3.1.51*

Most recent update may have broken our ability to subscribe? Looks great otherwise, but this isn’t a great start

### 2/5 — Rain gauge

*2026-07-10, version 3.1.49*

It's not very accurate

### 1/5 — Not Accurate

*2026-07-10, version 3.1.49*

When looking at the temperature forecasts in my area it displays 115 degrees for one day. Apparently, this app doesn't show a forecast, but an all time high for that day. Very misleading.

### 4/5 — Nice rain app, does not calculate the feels like temperature correctly

*2026-07-08*

I like the app & the specificity of rain totals at my location. However, the app does not calculate the feels like temperature correctly. I use the temperature & humidity displayed for my location & use an online Heat Index calculator to obtain the feels like temperature. It is very different from Rain Drop calculations. It does, however, correspond accurately to the Heat Index displayed by the National Weather Service for my area. I hope that Rain Drop will fix this issue as I need accurate Heat Indexes for working outside & horse training.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2026-08-25, version 3.1.60*

I downloaded and went through all the prompts just to find out they charge $49. a year. I like to know what’s up with the weather but not for that much. Weather dot come works just fine for me. And it’s free.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2026-08-24, version 3.1.60*

In the last seven days we received almost exactly 3 1/2 inches on my back deck. Measured it with a reliable rain gauge. This app reports 2 inches for the last week. Disappointing accuracy.

### 1/5 — Does NOT cover whole US!!!

*2026-08-21, version 3.1.57*

I purchased this app specifically for primarily looking at rainfall in Anchorage, Alaska. The app description says anywhere in the US. I paid for a subscription, and right away went to look for a rainfall in Anchorage, and there is no data available. WTF!!!

### 1/5 — Not very accurate

*2026-08-18, version 3.1.57*

I thought at first that kind of was on point but now down the line that’s not very accurate no precept for the next seven days and it’s cloudy in about to start raining now so unfortunately it’s not for me

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2026-07-31*

Waste of money paid 130$ for it to say we got 4mm of rain yes it was calling for it but it completely missed us and we got nothing.

### 1/5 — .

*2026-07-27, version 3.1.54*

Bad forecasting, most of the good tools and history are hidden behind paywall.

### 1/5 — Nothing for free

*2026-07-19, version 3.1.51*

I downloaded this app based on a instagram recommendation but there is no free tier. At all. The trial is seven days. Do I want to pay five bucks a month to know if it rained at my location? Maybe for some people it is useful. Not for me.

### 1/5 — Free version has become worthless

*2026-07-16, version 3.1.51*

This was a pretty good app until recently. It has made it so I can’t add a location or change a previous one. I use to be able to have two locations now I only have one. I can’t see the rain amounts for the entire month. I can still get some info but it’s not for the location I want.

### 1/5 — Nope

*2026-07-16*

If I had zero stars to give this I would. It is information you can get from your local Weather app on Apple. It is utter utter utter garbage.

### 1/5 — Not working?

*2026-07-13, version 3.1.50*

Just paid for the app, and A) beneath my city and state location (correct), it says someplace in Canada and it shows a map of somewhere in Canada, also, not my city and U.S. state?! Plus it says we’ve had no rain in the last 24 hours when we did get almost 1-1/4” yesterday.
Something is way wrong here. I want my money back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2026-08-19, version 3.1.57*

Have several locations recording especially like knowing rainfall where my mom lives several hours away

### 5/5 — Not working at the moment

*2026-08-03, version 3.1.56*

I love the app, but for some reason it is not working after a heavy rain.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-07-31, version 3.1.56*

Well Luke most weather related apps free or pay. They generally follow same principal. They guess a lot And Generally suck
Few other ranchers and farmers told me of RainDrop. Took the 7 day I Figured I’d compare With other apps I have both free and pay. I knew after first day this was real deal. Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-30, version 3.1.56*

Thanks for providing this to the public

### 5/5 — Chuck

*2026-07-29, version 3.1.55*

Very nicely detailed

### 5/5 — Very Accurate

*2026-07-28, version 3.1.55*

I helped pioneer the software industry and am always skeptical about new apps and try to test them before buying. This is one of those apps that live up to their hype. Been using this for about four months and their accuracy is very spot on. I recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Review

*2026-07-14, version 3.1.50*

So far so good

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-08, version 3.1.47*

I’m with a nonprofit that plants trees in Lexington. This is great for watering season.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Fanulous

*2026-06-01*

This app is great. My farmer husband loves it. But everyone who sees it is super impressed.

### 5/5 — Rain Amounts

*2026-05-24, version 3.1.28*

Most convenient solution for knowing if you are in a drought or not.
