Questo nonostante il dispositivo di irrigazione (TainPoint) sia dotato di batterie cariche. Mi è successo e mi si sono seccate 4 piante!!! I may go back to hand watering if it happens again. ### 1/5 — Not Ready for prime Time *2024-07-24, version 1.1.8* Not Ready for PrimeTime This is the second Rainpoint watering timer that I’ve bought. The first one—I had to discard—was mistakenly advertised as Wifi compatible but which turned to be Bluetooth-only, in terms of the control and operation of its watering programs. in other words. unless the APP on your iPhone was in earshot of the watering timer, the system was inoperable. The current device’s programming features seem to be fully Wifi compatible. However, its Wifi connectivity is spotty and unreliable at best. In addition, the hard copy Manual, not to mention its on-line version, is virtually illegible either due to its faint print or the accompanying programming instructions taken from the APP which are completely blurred, ie: not in focus. But most urgently, the Chinese maufacturer Tula’s iphone APP as well as the manual itself are in desparate need of native English language vetting in order to be fully understood. The iPhone APP needs to be rewitten and its drop-down windows presented in a more coherent and logical fashion with particular attention given to the selection of idiomatic English keyword commands and other programing instructions. For example, three programming “plans” are offered but nowhere is it explained how the plans relate to one another as a whole operationally. In addition,operational notifications are entirely opaque in their purpose and effect, so that depending on which window in the APP you’re in, one is constantly confused by dates/times which may be past, present or future. The result is that the user is never quite sure which plan, if any, is currently in operation and whether the attached watering devices/misters are actually running and according which plan. ### 1/5 — The app is a joke *2024-06-09, version 1.1.8* This app is trash when you click on “contact us” it’s written in Chinese and the grammar in the support manual is laughable and doesn’t really separate IOS to Android features. If you have a problem it just redirects you to YouTube, should I go on? This water timer worked great for the first 2 years but now 1 of 2 timers will send a 48H rain delay alert just to go head and keeping watering. THATS THE WHOLE REASON FOR THE PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT!!! I’m going back to my B-hyve. ### 4/5 — Works well, minimalist *2024-06-08, version 1.1.8* I am using it with a RainPoint 2 hose smart timer. It works well enough. One small improvement I would like to see: on the “parameter” tab I would like to know when the *last* irrigation occurred, not just the next one. Turn out a couple of hours. I figured out that the hoses were blocked somehow. But also the system powers down for no reason and loses the Wi-Fi connection. Now it logged me off the app, I enter a password and user correctly, agree with whatever they ask me to agree with but login button is not even active. I’ve wasted hours of my life trying to get things to work. I give up. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2026-05-30, version 1.2.6* I thought this system would make things easier for me. Adjusting the watering time, frequency and length of time using an app instead of stomping through the flower bed to adjust the timer seemed to be a great feature. The problem I have is that any adjustments I make are ignored by the app including deleting schedules, stopping parts of the schedules and adjusting watering times. It allows me to switch off a specific watering times but when I get out and go back in the button is back on. When I delete a schedule. It asks me if I’m sure and when I hit delete again, a circle appears for a few seconds, goes away and nothing changes. Even if I called someone for support, I know I would never get through to a human being, but if I did I’m sure I would be told that my network is not strong enough or some other excuse. Basically the app does not respond. The only way to change things is to delete the app and start from scratch. Everything appears to be connected, Bluetooth included, according to app, but timed and manual operation fails. I got it to work briefly by restarting iPhone but then it failed again. Can’t even manually start or stop from app, can’t change timer times. Already returned back ti amazon 2 of the 1 valve smart timers. ### 1/5 — Back button and rain delay does not work at all *2024-08-08, version 1.1.8* At least 6-10 times the app freezes during use. The back button doesn’t work at all even after deleting the app and reinstalling. I have to force quit the app in order to continue using it. Rain delay doesn’t work. I click the 24 hour rain delay, but it rains and the sprinkler still turns on. My wife let me get this to water the 180 seeds I planted, because I always to plant 180 to get 95 good plants. All 180 plants grew for the first time, loved it!
