## What is RainSeer?

RainSeer answers one question well: is it about to rain where you are, and for how long?

Open it for a few seconds and you'll see the rain moving on a live radar map, with a plain answer like "Light rain in 12 min". Close it and RainSeer keeps watching: an alert reaches you before the rain does, and your widgets, Lock Screen and Apple Watch show the countdown.

RAIN ALERTS THAT ARRIVE ON TIME
• A notification before rain starts, with your choice of lead time and how heavy the rain needs to be
• Optional "rain stopping" alerts, so you know when it's clear to head out
• Storm and heavy-rain alerts, free for everyone
• Official severe-weather warnings, where Apple Weather provides them (not available in Australia)
• Quiet Hours for overnight
• Alerts Follow Me (optional): alerts move with you, using low-power location changes rather than constant tracking
• A Live Activity countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, kept up to date even when RainSeer is closed

LIVE RAIN RADAR
• Animated radar around you, with your rain status at a glance
• Search any place to check the rain there

A FORECAST THAT ANSWERS QUESTIONS
• Next Hour: minute-by-minute rain for the coming hour, where Apple Weather offers it
• Official weather warnings in your forecast, where Apple Weather has them
• Hourly and 10-day forecasts, temperature, wind, pressure, humidity, UV, visibility, cloud cover, air quality and pollen
• Sunrise, sunset and moon phase
• Hide and reorder cards to make the Forecast tab your own

WHEREVER YOU LOOK
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets
• An Apple Watch app with complications
• Ask Siri "Will it rain soon?", or use it in Shortcuts

RAINSEER PREMIUM
• Minute-by-minute rain for the next 4 hours from Rainbow.ai: when it starts, how heavy it gets and when it stops
• Precision radar from 30 minutes ago to an hour ahead, with regional, global and cloud layers and a choice of colour palettes
• Planning cards: Best Dry Window, Rain Timeline, Rain Totals, Rain Type & Intensity, Commute & Plans, Garden & Watering and Storm Watch
• Context cards: What's Changing, Compared to Normal and Rain So Far
• Sky cards: Photo Light (golden and blue hours) and Night Sky
• Apple Intelligence on your iPhone: Today's Advice, practical tips on your cards, a one-line tip on your widgets, and Ask About Today, where you can ask questions about today's forecast
• The minute-by-minute rain timeline in your Live Activity
• Rain checks and widgets every 10 minutes instead of every 30

Apple Intelligence features need an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with it turned on.

Premium is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. New subscribers get a free trial of the yearly plan. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when the trial ends), and the subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.

YOUR PRIVACY
No account, no ads and no tracking. To send rain alerts while RainSeer is closed, the app shares your alert location with RainSeer's alert server, together with an anonymous ID and a notification token. It sends a new location only when you've moved about a kilometre, or after a few hours. Forecast requests send the place's coordinates to the weather services that answer them. Apple Intelligence features run on your iPhone.
