### 3/5 — Not location based

*2019-05-30*

I was not looking for an app to log data into. Wanted a location based app that tells me the area rainfall amounts. Apple needs a way to refund your purchase if not the app you wanted when you know this in the first few minutes after purchasing.

### 4/5 — Simple and easy to use

*2017-04-25*

Could use some UX improvements - you can't decrease a reading, only increase or reset it. You also can't record values for the next day, which is useful for event readings in 9am-9am records. Still, nothing else out there like this

### 2/5 — rain tracker

*2016-05-18, version 2.0*

I need a logbook to keep up with rain in different fields.

This app does not give year to date totals.. You have to add them up yourself.. A MAJOR SCREWUP

Does not give options for multiple locations

Rather buggy when you click on previous months, app quits

### 1/5 — Meh.

*2014-06-17, version 2.0*

Not at all what I was looking for. Wanted an app that would tell me how much rainfall I've had here, not just track the measurements I input. I do not have a rain gauge. Would be nice if the app description clearly stated that this only tracks inputs .

### 2/5 — Not what I wanted

*2014-06-10, version 2.0*

I was hoping that it would show how much rain that was reported in my area. All it does is track the rain that I input.

### 4/5 — Bill Stratton

*2014-05-30*

I get annoyed when inches are used as we all use millimetres in Australia. One has to be mindful to check the inches against millimetres, before recording the days reading, that is taken in millimetres.

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2014-04-25, version 2.0*

Easy to use and handy to have for a quick record keeping.

### 1/5 — Rain tracker doesn't like 7.1

*2014-04-06*

Since the recent upgrade on my iPhone I can no longer access the history. It just closes down. The app needs an appropriate upgrade also. Soonest please.

### 1/5 — Shouldn't be in the App Store.

*2014-03-27, version 1.1.4*

Now the App just crashes when I click on history. Useless to me.

### 4/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2014-03-13, version 1.1.4*

Wanted a logbook to log the daily rain and to see weekly, monthly and yearly stats. Got exactly what I needed. Nice!

### 2/5 — Ok but could be better

*2013-02-03*

Good but hate that I can't go back & edit if I made a mistake. I also hate that it keeps defaulting to inches when I have checked millimetres.

### 1/5 — Sadly disappointed

*2013-01-26*

What a shame this app won't work properly. Please fix the inch/millimetres and add a save button would help, It's easy to accidentally change totals. Would help if one could edit information also.

### 1/5 — No such thing as zero stars

*2013-01-08, version 1.1.4*

All I want is an app that gives me access to NOAA precip records. How hard is that? This thing is just a glorified notebook. If I know how much rain fell, why do I need you?

### 1/5 — Review

*2012-12-07*

Updated Review "If i could give it zero stars i would. New updates have included bugs as listed above where data goes missing, defaults to inches etc etc. and not fixed for close to 2 yrs) I comment once again; no updates (last update Jan 2011) to any suggestions posted by anyone in these reviews. Why ask for comment/reviews if nothing is listened to?"

No updates to any suggestions posted for the past couple of months. Come on? Rainfall is recorded from 9am to 9am the next day but recorded under the previous days date. I.e the rain I tip out of the Gage this morning is recorded under yesterday's date. Therefore I suggest that the date should default to the previous days date rather than having to change the date every time I enter data. I would like to see averages given in terms that rainfall is discussed in i.e. monthly rainfall (total rainfall for that month) yearly rainfall (total rainfall for that calendar year) average monthly rainfall (total rainfall for the month added to other records for the same month over a number of years divided by the number of years) and not a daily average for a month which I have never heard rainfall described in before. I would also suggest that the graphs are displayed in the traditional format of a bar graph and that the above i.e. averages are also graphed (as a line graph overlaid in a different colour) for monthly and yearly and not that same information displayed as it is now on the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly graphs, but different information.

### 3/5 — Good apps

*2012-10-09*

I use the app in the field to record rainfall. It works grate for that and I can email the amounts to others. The only thing it needs is a way to back it up and transfer the data to another device with the app installed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rainfalls must be entered manually!

*2023-06-30*

I bought this expecting it to collect local rainfall data but no, I have to do it myself. Please state that data collection is manual!!!!!

### 1/5 — App not working after IOS update 14.3

*2021-02-01*

Had this app for over 4 years, was working great before IOS update 14.3. Now the app closes right after it is opened, there’s no way to get the data from the app.

### 1/5 — Really bad

*2020-09-10*

Doesn’t provide user with ANY information. It merely log the data that the user enters. This is USELESS!

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2020-01-19*

This app needs you to enter the amounts for each day. It does not TELL you how much rain fell on any given day. You have to know how much rain fell, then manually enter it into a “journal” like tracker. Not what I was expecting.

### 1/5 — $1 notepad

*2018-07-26*

It’s a log that you can put data into. Has no integration to any source for content.

### 1/5 — Misleading features descriptions

*2018-03-01*

Doesn’t total rain for the year. A major reason for tracking your rain. Misleading descriptions and questionable new round of reviews after update.

### 1/5 — Rain tracker

*2017-05-02*

The rain chart won't load
2 years later chart still won't load

### 1/5 — Misleading!

*2017-03-28, version 2.0*

I thought this app would provide me with data!!!

You input the data to make your own history... I wouldn't have wasted the $0.99 had I known that!!!

### 1/5 — It does not report amount of rainfall

*2014-12-16, version 2.0*

You tell it amount of rain. It does not tell you how much it has rained in a particular place over a particular period of time. No point to this app because you still have to search elsewhere to find out how much it has rained

### 1/5 — Don't use!!!! Misleading!!!'

*2014-09-13, version 2.0*

Very misleading! They make it look like this app provides the rainfall when in fact it's just a log book for YOU to enter the rainfall amount. Ummmm....there are a million different ways to do that. No one needs to pay for an APP to do that. This is type of App that Apple should remove.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great rain tracker /logger

*2017-06-24*

Suggestion- if a day was erroneously selected (it did not rain on that day), the history for that day should be completely deleted. Instead it shows a rainfall amount of "0.00" for that day that was "cleared" or amount was deleted.

Also, after the latest version, 2.0.1, the app will crash when I go from viewing the weekly chart to viewing the monthly chart or vice versa.

### 5/5 — Does everything I need

*2017-06-05*

I've been using this app for about four years now. It has all the features I need.

### 5/5 — Rain Tracker

*2014-06-10*

I’m very happy with this app, especially since the millimetre/inch problem was fixed.

### 5/5 — Snowflake

*2013-11-13*

I have found this app to be extremely useful for keeping my rainfall stats.
Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Super App

*2013-10-20*

Eine tolle App. für Wetter Fans, die immer schon mal wissen wollten wieviel es in einem Monat bei ihnen im Garten geregnet hat

### 5/5 — Gardener

*2012-04-22, version 1.1.4*

Great simple app. Love it

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-01-10*

I have been tracking rain fall for years on paper and I believe this will make reviewing much better in the future.

### 5/5 — Mr

*2011-10-06*

Simple to use and display history.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2011-08-03*

Really great app and easy to navigate around. Thoroughly recommend this app for anyone wanting to record their daily rainfall.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2011-07-29, version 1.1.4*

This is the app I have been looking for. It does exactly what it says - it tracks the rainfall amounts you input. Please please please make this app for iPad.
