I’m uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and nothing works. I’m unable to enter my area code from my American cell phone number. You can scroll through many area codes but they don’t have every code that exists and don’t allow you to enter yours. Downloading the app will only upload your location onto your phone and if it needs to be looked at you will get a chance to send it to the tracing team in Iceland. Yeah. ### 3/5 — Almost works *2021-07-29, version 3.0.10* The app has some excellent graphics and explainers, but breaks as soon as I: • Try to set it up without an internet connection • Try to set it up outside of Iceland • Try to set it up without a phone number It also breaks on older iPhones (I have a 6S) although this has been now fixed. Once broken, it will never work again, even in Iceland. The fix is simple, delete and reinstall. ### 3/5 — Still glitchy *2021-06-08, version 3.0.6* I encountered the same problem of it not allowing enabling of contact tracing on my device. So I deleted the app, reinstalled, and it let me reregister, adding the things it wouldn’t allow 1 hour ago. A lot more trouble than it’s worth given Iceland’s low case rate. If tourism picks up, and there’s still mandatory testing of all vaccinated arriving passengers and 4-24 hour hotel quarantine, it would be important to make this far easier than it was today. ### 2/5 — Unable to receive verification code *2021-08-29, version 3.0.10* I entered my country code (US 1) and phone number, and never received the verification code. Also, for selecting language, it would be handy to have the language in THAT LANGUAGE, as it wasn’t immediately obvious that Enska was English. Want to help keep COVID cases low, but this app isn’t going to do it. When I try to enter my 10-digit phone number, the “continue” button is grayed out until after I enter the 7th digit. Icelandic phone numbers only have seven digits, so perhaps the app isn’t recognizing my 10-digit number as valid. I tried many times, even deleting the app and reinstalling it, but I wasn’t able to receive a verification code. My husband had the same problem. ### 2/5 — App’s been updated! *2021-06-08, version 3.0.6* The developers finally fixed the bug that was preventing me from registering my US based iPhone. After downloading the update, I received the confirmation code and was able to complete my registration.
