When I booked my flight through their website, they advertised 2% cashback for the booking. I completed the booking and traveled as planned. After the flight, when I contacted Rakuten to receive the cashback, I was told that my account was blocked and therefore I was not eligible to receive it. If my account was already blocked, Rakuten should have clearly notified me before or at the time of booking that I would not be eligible for cashback. Advertising cashback to encourage a purchase and then denying it afterward is extremely misleading and frustrating. I feel that the cashback offer was advertised without properly informing me about the restriction. Very poor customer experience and lack of transparency. I was given 1.5% because you said it was a third party seller. Excuse me but I was on the macys site. I even had to put my info in to get on the website. It should have been 12%. I contacted customer support trying to resolve the issue, and in the end my account was blocked. I received neither my Cash Back nor my bonuses. Very disappointing experience.
