## What is Rally Score?

Rally Score is a table tennis scoreboard for Apple Watch, with an iPhone app for your match history and stats.

ON THE WATCH
Tap the left or right half of the screen to give that player the point. Rally keeps track of everything else: who is serving (two serves each, alternating from 10-10), game point and match point, the games tally, the deciding game and when to change ends. The screen swaps sides for you at the change of ends so it always matches the table. Long press to undo a point, as far back as you need, even into the previous game. A match in progress is kept if the app closes, so nothing is lost if you glance at the time.

FORMATS
Single game, best of 3, best of 5 or best of 7, chosen when you start. Games to 11 (or the classic 21) with a two point margin.

ON THE IPHONE
Finished matches arrive automatically. See every game score, points won, a momentum chart of the whole match, win rates by opponent, deuce game record, current streak and recent form. Score a match on the phone too if you prefer.

PRIVACY
Everything stays on your devices. No account, no server, no analytics, no adverts. Nothing is collected.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-19

Rally 1.2 is a big one.

WATCH
• The score now stays on your wrist for the whole match, whether or not you allow Health access. Health only adds the match to your rings and shows your heart rate.
• Double Tap scores a point: pinch twice and it's yours. Choose who it scores for in Settings.
• Whose serve it is is now impossible to miss: the serving side is outlined in orange with a badge counting down the serves left.
• Feel the game: a different buzz for change of serve and for game point.
• When the match ends it saves itself after a few seconds. Tap Play again for an instant rematch.
• An End button on the scoreboard, and the score stays readable with your wrist down.

iPHONE AND WATCH TOGETHER
• The match in progress is shared live. Score on either device and the other follows.
• A new home screen: pick who's playing who, one big Start button, and your head to head.
• Any two people can play; you don't have to be one of them.
• Favourite opponents stay at the top.
• A league table for everyone you play with, and a full head to head record for each person.
• Share a result with one tap.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-17

The watch now keeps the score on screen for the whole match.

Rally records a match as a table tennis workout, which is what stops watchOS dropping back to the clock face between points. The match is saved to Health and credited to your activity rings, with your heart rate shown in Settings.

If you would rather not allow Health access, Rally still keeps score, and it now tells you clearly that the screen will keep turning off. You can switch the workout off at any time with "Keep screen on" in Settings.
