It wouldn’t be my first choice if I had a choice. I’ve been using it for 2 years now. If there are supposed to be push notifications, I don’t know where they are. I only get emails that get lost in the middle of all my other emails. Not to mention I have favorite rallies that I’ve been trying to unfavorite for a year. I can’t speak for other teachers because without notifications, no one sees anything I post. So now I’m using other apps in addition to this one. Please fix favorites and push notifications. ### 2/5 — Not great for communication *2026-01-21, version 8.4.7* Our Girl Scout council pushed this app for troop and council communication and I find it hugely lacking. I rarely get in app notifications, my posts don’t get seen by parents in my troop, I have multiple parents complaining they have been locked out and the engagement of my parents has dropped significantly since we switched to this app. There are better apps for group communication out there and I wish we could go back to what worked for us. ### 2/5 — Not an ideal communication app *2025-12-14* Our Girl Scout council moved to this app for all communication and I find it clunky and not as engaging as our last mode of communication with our troop. I don’t get real time notifications, some of my rallies disappear when I don’t visit them regularly. It’s is easier to do major updates and setting up events and calendars from the desktop and not the app however the app is great for quick message updates and the push notification my parents get. We love using the Rallyhood program so the app is a bonus. ### 2/5 — Logo makes me feel ill *2024-02-28, version 6.8.6* I have trypophobia, and the logo/app button makes my stomach turn. I've deleted it from my Home Screen, but it's omnipresent on the app, and I'm at risk of losing my lunch any time I'm in the app. Please consider changing it. This app is the worst. Freezes constantly, clunky login that won’t allow for user or password auto fill, randomly kicks me out and/or totally shuts down. The last update was FOUR years ago. I can see my rally group cover picture , but when I click on it, nothing happens. I’m so disappointed because I was hoping to see pictures from my daughter’s camp this week. I’ve also tried the rallyhood website and have the same result. It doesn’t notify you of messages posted. you only get some emails that miss stuff when it is originally posted. So it js hard to keep up with updates on post anywhere close to real time. Also the sign ups don’t work or load correctly or all the way in the app. Seems ok for that on the web but the app is very clunky. ### 1/5 — Cannot Log In *2023-08-14, version 6.4.7* I have a valid Rallyhood account; I can log in from my laptop with very little effort. This app? This app is absolutely useless because I cannot log in. No response. Useless waste of space. ### 1/5 — Beyond Elementary *2022-11-05, version 6.0.3* Our building just implemented Rallyhood. It’s a great concept, however lacking in practicality. We have the New version. I met with one of our building admin (Rally admin) yesterday. We were discussing the app, I am certain there is no QA at the company. I’ve had it installed for 4 days and these are my findings. -They have actually used Rally and Group as interchangeable terms in a portion of the app. Our Admin said there is no difference in the term when I asked. -From my email notification of activity on the app- getting to the app is cumbersome. -The app search function, isn’t specific to your building community. I understand they want to be inclusive for you to use for multiple communities, but if feels creepy. -When you do a search function, you are left on that page. You have to swipe up, out of the app, and relaunch to get back to the Home Screen. -You are never logged out of the app, This gives me some concerns. -When we first launched the app, upon installation, it does not recognize your password. We worked around this by, using keychain from the “origination” webpage. -I’ve played with my notifications, I still only get email notifications, I have no notification indicator directly on the app button. Sorry, I don’t know all the technical terminology. I’ve don’t have a direct background in technology. -It seems to be a nightmare for the Admin too, as the app generates tons of email requests to them. They seem to not have a way to work directly in the app. I seem to have deleted my Notes page with my questions and screenshots, I took to our Admin, but this is a brief from memory review. Overall the app has too many clicks to get to and from information. Trying to see who is in your Rally (Friends) you can’t click on Members (while a #) is apparent. You must go to the bottom of the screen and click a menu bar to the find Friends. Again, two words meaning the same thing. ### 1/5 — Awful *2022-10-23, version 6.0.3* If I could give this zero stars I would. Our Girl Scout council is requiring all service units and leaders to use this program for communication. Rallyhood is just not great. Maybe it was 11 years ago when it came out but it is useless now. The “app” is just a website push, we get zero notifications on the app, and bombarded with emails. I’m frustrated because there are no rally notifications so if you don’t read every email or visit every rally you belong to, you’re not seeing the messages. Btw, I belong to at least 10 rallies (and that’s just a typical leader without holding a leadership position) so notifications on the app are important. Love that there are no ads! We communicate on the message wall and also use direct messaging for quick convos. It’s been an awesome way to store and share photos. We have albums going back several years. Our group also loves the events feature for invites, registration and tracking…so easy. It’s all the best features of my favorite tools rolled into one. It’s like Basecamp for moms, with organized files, docs, photos, lists, calendars, email and text. Add in the idea of a SignUp Genius. There’s also a payment feature using Stripe, event planning, task management, member directories and analytics.
