It has been one of my favorites but lately it has nothing but problems. It crashes, fails to authenticate, takes me back to main page. Ramapo Catskill seems to have abandoned it. Annoying. ### 1/5 — It worked well until recently *2023-12-10* Great APP that went south. It recently failed in updating items that were returned. Removed the APP with the hope to reinstall and make it function. It instead has the message, “Unable to connect to server. However in the last few weeks, it does not work right. But I recently switched to an iPhone 14 and the app doesn't work at all. Everytime I open it, it shows a black screen that says it cannot connect to server. Annoyed that it doesn't work on my new phone, as I used it all the time to place holds, renew books, and check when my books were due back to the library. Please fix this issue so iPhone users can enjoy this app! ### 2/5 — FIX BUGS please *2015-07-20, version 4.69* Fix it . Not able to open the app. Goes back to login screen every time u try to open it.Million bugs: crashes often, freezes up, sometimes u click on a title and there's nothing,says loading forever and then nothing, shows incomplete information or missing something like some checked out items and so on. I use it in conjunction with goodreads to supercharge my library effectiveness. I use it to place holds on books, request transfers, and renew books. Please keep up the good work. I look up and request books whenever I think of them, and they are waiting for me next time I go to the library. It's also so easy to renew books and keep track of due dates. Correct me if this is already a feature- I would love if there was a wishlist section. I have a tendency to check out books in fear I will forget their existence, and then end up with more than I can read. It would be nice to have a section that I can refer to if I’m looking for a new book to read or if I can’t remember the book I was interested in a few weeks ago but thought I would enjoy. First the positives which is the app is easy to set up and customize to the user’s liking with a selection of your personal library. Users can easily manage the holds and see what they have checked out and if any fines are present. The app is easy to navigate and most importantly conduct a search with. The improvements include being able to add items to one’s saved lists directly from the source page. With that said the app is solid and over time I expect it to become even more resourceful for its users. The app is well worth a download for its patrons. ### 3/5 — Indispensable but flawed *2016-01-19, version 4.69* Regular RCLS library users know there's no real alternative to this - it's well designed and it works. But it's also prone to constant screen hangs and network timeout errors - the most common scenario is that my request gets successfully placed, but I have to learn that later, because the screen doesn't refresh or has to be force quit.
