## What is Ranchr?

Simplify tracking and managing your cattle -- no more pen and paper, spreadsheets or outdated, expensive software.  Ranchr gives you (and your hired help) a single app to manage all your cattle information from your phone or iPad.

By using Ranchr's cattle management software you will save time, money and stress.  It was built by cattle farmers to make the job much easier.

The product includes a mobile app and a dashboard in the cloud, so that you can access and update cattle records in the field, at home or in the office

With Ranchr, you can track basic info about your livestock such as name, ear tag, date of birth, breed, and sex. Ranchr also makes it easy to add additional details and keep track of changes (cattle health, calves, cattle sales, etc) over time.

You can also report when you sell the cow, when the cow gets a treatment, when there is a health change such as a sickness to the cow, and when you record a weight of the cow, along with the option to add notes and the date you applied the record.

Pros: easy to use. it’s great that I can have multiple people add records on the app. The website is a great tool. Overall we’ve really enjoyed using this app! It’s made such a wonderful addition to record keeping. 

Cons: the filtering tool can glitch when checking on multiple cows it sometimes removes the filter once you exit a cow. The pictures don’t always save. It would also be nice to be able to date pictures and add more or even a pdf. It would be helpful if, once you’re in a cow’s file; you could push left or right to scroll to the next file.

Could be more user friendly you should make the calf ID optional all of my 600 plus cows get the same tag number as the cow until I keep replacement hfrs and such it’s annoying to me to have to put in calf ID it should automatically know the ID when I add calf to a cow

This App is constantly changing. The calf ages recently changed from being noted in days to now being noted in months. This has happened before and they corrected it back to days but this time it’s evidently staying in months. This is less useful info and requires extra work to figure how many days old the calves are.

Update: The developers fixed this problem within days of posting this review.

I’ve been using this app since the beginning of last year. I love how I can have pictures of our cattle pop up once the tag is clicked on. It is also the first app I can add as many cows as I want on the app and their treatments.
