I friggen love this app. Quick, no planning needed, simple, well made, good variety, aesthetic. Please make an upper body and lower body one!

### 5/5 — Great short daily workout

### 5/5 — No nonsense

*2024-01-23, version 1.2.2*

There was a point when I couldn’t find this app(maybe I was hallucinating) and I was pretty sad.
But, this is by far the most easiest to use app I’ve seen. I love that it’s minimal and not filled with annoying prompts, has a simple calendar to track your workouts and has a good amount of exercise variations!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2023-12-28, version 1.2.2*

So good I can’t believe it’s free!

### 5/5 — Been using this app for years. We love it as a good chaser after any workout.

*2023-12-25*

Just have to follow the instructions. Some days are easier in some days are hard but like anything, you get out what you put in.

**Developer response:** Thanks for being long-time users!!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed!!

*2023-12-03, version 1.2.2*

This is the perfect app for people like me who are mystified when it comes to ab workouts. It's dead simple, not riddled with ads and above all it makes ab workouts more fun! I love opening the app every day to see what exercises I've been randomly allocated

Improvements I would suggest:
 - Option to adjust overall difficulty
 - Timer for breaks between sets, or at least some indication of how long one should rest
 - Option to deselect certain exercises that one can't do for whatever reason (or, failing that, an option to substitute in a different exercise that hits the same area)

### 5/5 — It’s all on you

*2023-11-21*

Just have to follow the instructions. Some days are easier in some days are hard but like anything, you get out what you put in.

### 5/5 — So motivational!

*2023-11-17, version 1.2.2*

Love the ‘videos’ of how to do each excercise -perfect for home or at the gym. Keeps you motivated with all the different combos for each day

### 5/5 — Abs of Steal

*2023-09-14, version 1.2.0*

Amazing app! Snappy and easy to use.
One day, I’ll be as fit and handsome and will have abs of steel like the fellow in all of the exercise previews, but it is not this day!

### 5/5 — Better than a metal tin

*2023-09-14, version 1.2.0*

Do this every day and you’ll have a strong core that will help with so many aches and tensions we cause on ourselves. And some lucky people will get to see them. But everyone who does this every day could alíviate some of their every day pain/stress/posture

### 5/5 — Best Ab Workout App

*2023-09-12, version 1.2.0*

I have tried a few workout apps out there but this one is by far the best for an ab workout. Nice design and good description of the exercises. Only wish would be that the app integrated with the apple fitness app so the workouts would be recorded, would also happily pay for this feature, but that is nit picking at this point.

### 5/5 — Need calendar back

*2023-09-10, version 1.2.0*

I love the new format. However, I wish we still had the calendar view. It’s motivating to see how many days you have completed the workout and the calendar view is much better than the current format

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2023-06-14*

The daily workouts are great. It helps you workout everyday and the workouts aren’t THAT hard. They’re challenging enough so that it’s not easy. But it’s not insanely hard. This is the best workout app I have tried yet.

### 5/5 — A workout staple!

*2023-02-27*

I love love love this app! I always incorporate it into my gym time, I love the variety of exercises it gives and the animations of the moves, even the built in timer for the plank holds. Really thoughtfully done and well-built without being over-engineered. I recommend this to everybody who wants a short but effective core workout

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Plank timer went missing!

*2023-09-12, version 1.2.0*

With the new update they took away the timer for times workouts on the overview screen :(

### 3/5 — Works well...but could be better

*2020-08-21, version 1.1.1*

It’s great to not have to think of a core work out to do. I really do like that it’s random.

The downsides are

1) You only get one workout a day
2) You can’t create or save your own custom workouts
3) You have to have cell service or the app won’t work

### 3/5 — Need calendar back

*2019-01-11, version 1.1*

I love the new format. However, I wish we still had the calendar view. It’s motivating to see how many days you have completed the workout and the calendar view is much better than the current format

**Developer response:** Definitely! The calendar is there, but sort of hidden, sorry. When you are viewing a routine, you can click the date in the header which will pull up a calendar for quickly switching between days, and it also shows which routines were completed on there.

It will be difficult to tell until several activities are logged, but for now, the current format of the "My Activity" view will provide the days in between your activity at a glance along with colors to indicate if it's been good or bad. Check out randomabs.com and find the "My Activity" screenshot and description to see what several days of activity will look like.

That said, we had already been wondering about putting the calendar into the "My Activity" view, so that along with your feedback tipping the scale, we will likely get it in soon! Maybe in a way where you can toggle between the calendar and the list format based on preference.

Thank you for being vocal because the are no doubt others that feel the same as you. Your feedback helps shape Random Abs for the better! ❤️

### 4/5 — Need timer sounds

*2026-07-05, version 1.2.5*

I like the abs workout app but if this app has countdown timer while doing abs will be great

### 5/5 — Been using this app for years. We love it as a good chaser after any workout.

*2025-07-06, version 1.2.5*

Just have to follow the instructions. Some days are easier in some days are hard but like anything, you get out what you put in.

### 5/5 — Great, Variable Workouts

*2025-03-12, version 1.2.5*

Now that I’ve started using RandomAbs every morning again, it’s really starting my day off fresh, setting me up for a success in my fitness all day!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-03-04, version 1.2.5*

Love the variation. I can’t believe it is free AND ad-free!

The only thing I’d change is adding a changeable timer for rest in between.

Oooh. And maybe being able to check off which exercises to use randomly. There are some I prefer to do more than others.

And a beep along with a vibrate when the timer ends—I often can’t feel or see the phone.

Amazing simple straight to the point!!

### 5/5 — Just right

*2024-12-11, version 1.2.5*

Good variety and I don’t have to learn 100 moves. It’s super easy to follow and I’m on a 300+ day streak, so I’d say it’s working as expected.

### 5/5 — No excuses

*2024-06-09, version 1.2.5*

This app gives you EVERYTHING you need for success. Video tutorials and written explanations for all exercises. You don’t even have to think. I love pulling this app up after a short weight workout to get some abs in before cooling off. Highly recommend!
