## What is Random Mahjong Pro?

Random Mahjong is a relaxed, classic Solitaire Mahjong game for iPhone and iPad. It has been played by tile matchers for years, and it still does exactly what it set out to do — no timers, no pressure, no fuss.

Photo-realistic 2D tiles that look sharp rather than stale. There's no fancy 3D here; you get a classic 2D board with smooth camera panning and focus, so you're always up close to the play. Controls stay a joy rather than a chore, on both iPhone and iPad.

At its heart is a random generator, so a fresh, solvable board is waiting every time you play. Prefer something familiar? Fifty preset layouts are included. And the small 32-tile boards, paired with a solution walkthrough for every layout, make this a good place to learn the rules if you've never played the Solitaire or Shanghai variant of Mah-jongg before.

### 3/5 — New screen size isn’t great.

I can no longer see the clock on the phone ad reading the top of the screen is difficult even with my reading glasses. It may be fine on a tablet, but it’s a bit pants on a small screen.

I quickly gave 5-stars since this was my fav Mahjong game in the past decade or so but unfortunately I quickly discovered that this game is no longer functional.

Go into Quick Game > Preset Level, select Big layout and advance to the 40th (Incas… and on) layouts. The layouts will no longer load. You will only see the spinning cursor but the preview layout will never finish loading. Previously these worked like a snap. Sad that it’s now broken and unplayable,

Verglichen mit anderen Mahjong Applikation macht dieses Spiel viel richtig. So kann man zum Beispiel beide Steine gleichzeitig auswählen. Auch die Spielsteine an sich sind grafisch sehr gut umgesetzt und sehen selbst auf dem 12,9" iPad noch okay aus. Es gibt zum Glück auch relativ dezente und monochrome Hintergründe. 
Die ideale Mahjong App ist dies noch nicht, aber sie ist nach einem Ausflug in die Einstellungen deutlich angenehmer als all die anderen knallbunten, schlecht bedienbaren, werbe- und in-app-Kauf-verseuchten Zumutungen im Windows95 Look.

Still one of the apps I use the most on my phone. I have been playing for years now. I love this game and it's beautiful to look at.
**Update—with the iOS 11 update, the in-app leaderboards disappeared from the paid version. I don’t NEED to see who I’m better than to enjoy the game, but it’s a pretty cool feature.
