### 4/5 — Nice app small issue

*2025-04-01, version 2.33.0*

I like this app for beginner sight reading practice with new instrument, worth the price. Though I’ve found a bug already. When using the microphone, A-flat has to be played an octave lower to be detected. Oddly G-sharp doesn’t have that issue.

### 3/5 — Seems ok

*2024-02-18, version 2.7.5*

Can’t really test it with my trumpet, since the ability to transpose is locked. But it looks like a decent enough app and it seems to work when I try to sing the notes

### 3/5 — Good app but high level of monetization

*2023-12-13, version 2.7.2*

It’s a good app if you can deal with the octave changes. I use it just for the random note generation. Adjusting the metronome or even adjusting your practice routine costs an amazing $7. So get a free metronome app and use this app as a 1 thru 7 letter generator and skip notes using touch. You can’t even customize the notes you’re trying to find beyond a very basic level without spending 7 dollars

### 5/5 — Mucho potencial

*2023-08-22, version 2.3*

Muy buena app tienen mucho potencial

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-08-16, version 2.3*

Exactly what I was looking for thank you

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2023-08-07, version 2.3*

Works exactly as advertised with an aesthetically minimalistic display. I’m currently using it to hone my music theory skills and the automation feature is perfect for mastering the guitar fretboard. Great app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-07-04, version 2.2*

Im using it to learn all the notes on the guitar fretboard. Works as described. The only thing its missing is an independent metronome. It would be good if I could set the bpm and choose when the note changes instead of the app changing the note automatically after 4 beats. Currently I have to use a separate metronome app to do this. It would also be nice to have a setting to show two notes at a time at the same size and brightness. Right now the second note is shown smaller and darker. Great app though!

### 5/5 — Great tool!

*2023-05-11, version 2.0.4*

This is a great tool, both for learning note positions on an instrument and for vocal and ear training. I’ve a few suggestions:

1 - Can you provide a way to repeat the note? e.g. a repeat button. This would be useful when I’m singing and didn’t hit the note accurately at first.

2 - Adding a pitch accuracy meter, like a tuner, so singers can see how accurately they are singing the target note.

3 - Limiting the note ranges for singers, e.g. Tenor, Soprano etc.

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2023-05-04, version 2.0.4*

Very useful for speed reading notes on my bass guitar. Thank you.

### 1/5 — disappointed

*2025-03-23, version 2.32.0*

immediately crashed and the app won’t open once i paid for it, nice👎🏼

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-02-27, version 2.32.0*

Paid five dollars to have it change when I on correct pitch but the feature seemingly just doesn’t exist

### 1/5 — It stops working after a while

*2024-11-23*

This started out as a five star review but when I hit 5300 notes generated and it stopped working. And the people who wrote it ignored my several requests for help it became a one DONT BUY THIS APP. If they fix thing I will let you know.

### 1/5 — Paid features don’t work

*2024-06-29*

Paid $3.99 so that I could select a specific range of notes (C3-C5) but the app CONSISTENTLY plays notes way above the selected range. I tried selecting a lower range of notes, thinking maybe they calibrated the app wrong, but it still persists. This seems to me to be one of the easiest functions to create in an app, but they apparently can’t figure it out.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We've identified a bug where all notes were playing one octave too high, which seems to be causing the issue you described. We have now fixed this problem. Could you please try using the latest version of the app again and let us know if it resolves your issue? Your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve.

### 1/5 — Pointless app

*2022-11-01, version 1.0.3*

The only value in generating random notes is to be able to find and repeat them on an instrument. Not only is there no timer associated with this generator, there is no audible output either, despite a mute icon on the screen sample.
Don’t be mugged.

### 2/5 — Functional; Paywall

*2025-12-07, version 2.33.0*

This app is user designed and very concise. However, a lot of features are behind a paywall. Such as more than 50 random notes an hour, a particular clef, a particular range, etc. Perfect if you're willing to pay the fee.

### 2/5 — Cant use the app without a payment

*2024-12-25, version 2.31.0*

It has a very clean layout and pretty easy to use. But if you’re going to be someone who is trying to get familiar with your instrument and don’t want to spend money (you don’t need to because they internet has multiple tools that do this same exact thing for free) this is not the app to use. Went through around 50 notes in the span of 25 seconds because of just simple fretboard practice and I now have to pay $6 or wait 24 hours to unlock another 50 RNG notes to be displayed. I understand this is how money needs to be made, but that price is unfortunately not worth the already over saturated market of note generators that are available free.

### 2/5 — Ok

*2024-03-07, version 2.16.0*

Need notes on used note

### 2/5 — No sound

*2022-11-15, version 1.0.3*

No sound

### 3/5 — It stops working after a while BUT

*2024-11-26, version 2.31.0*

It took a bit but I have been contacted by the editor of the program. Hopefully that they can get it working once more.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-08-17, version 2.36.0*

Gives me the flexibility to program the limited amount of notes I need to help me in my beginner bass guitar lessons

### 5/5 — Simple and brilliant

*2025-03-29, version 2.33.0*

Just hear the note, and play it. Such a simple and incredibly effective exercise to allow you to play with your head and not just your fingers

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-11-23, version 2.31.0*

Has made my practice so much better, thank you!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for singers

*2024-09-04, version 2.28.0*

I am a singer and a singing teacher and this app is invaluable to me! It is exactly what I was looking for to generate pitches and help me learn not to manipulate my singing based on where I am in the pitch range. Thanks for making this app! Love the simplicity and easy to use features as well.

### 5/5 — A very helpful app

*2024-08-14*

A great tool to help me test and improve my fretboard knowledge.

### 5/5 — Honest & caring developer

*2024-07-01, version 2.25.0*

UPDATE: Initially some of the paid features were not functioning correctly. The developer was quick to respond to my email and solve the issue. Now the paid features of the app work as they are supposed to. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Where has it been all this time. Put an add on YouTube to

*2024-03-15*

This is a perfect way to learn the notes on the guitar. Thank you

**Developer response:** Thank you for your wonderful review! 🎸 We’re thrilled to hear that you find our app to be that useful for you. Your feedback is truly appreciated, and we’ll definitely take your suggestion about YouTube ads into consideration. Keep picking those notes, and happy playing! 🎶🙌

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it says

*2024-01-13*

Really good app

**Developer response:** Thank you for the positive feedback! We're glad you find our app helpful. If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to share!

### 5/5 — Great app, just one suggestion!

*2023-12-08, version 2.7.1*

Really happy an app like this exists, makes it easy for me to do a few minutes of ear training before I go to bed each night! One thing I would definitely add though- an option to keep all the notes within one octave. I’d like to use this for interval training and it’s much more difficult to do that when the notes vary so much in pitch.

### 5/5 — Good job

*2023-12-04, version 2.7.1*

Great improvement over the last year, keep up the great work
