That’s a cool feature but i think adding one to reorder your list one by one would be cool. Otherwise, great app 👍 ### 4/5 — Solid design, one bug. *2026-03-21, version 10.0.1* The app works perfect except it just did something odd. My whole list shifted. I have to write it all again because most of the writing is split between different choices. For a few days it showed the previous results, but then I open it to use it again and then it starts from scratch again. ### 5/5 — Can import long lists created in excel on the computer *2022-01-13, version 8.0.1* I chose this app among all the random-generating apps as it appeared to me as the only one which allowed importing a long list created in excel. It would be tedious to develop such long lists on a mobile device…. The support from the developer is just AMAZING. After using the app successfully for a few years, there was suddenly a bug that appeared on IOS 15. Found the bug on New Year’s Day, got a reply within a couple hours! The bug was quickly fixed. I was even kept posted on the progress of the fix. ### 5/5 — Fantastic App! Just one request.. *2021-10-18, version 7.2* I really love this app! It’s so difficult to find a custom Randomizer application for some reason. I wanted to be able to make a list and have the app choose one by random, while also saving multiple lists for when I needed them and this app delivered just that! My only additional feature request, is that we get the ability to combine and randomize multiple lists - like a casino slot machine, choose 1 - 3 of the saved lists, then the app chooses an item from each list and presents them. This would provide a powerful idea generation tool by giving combinations of items one wouldn’t think of naturally. If the app can do the above, it gets all my praise, not that it doesn’t already. Keep up the good work Devs! ### 4/5 — Nice but needs feature *2021-08-06, version 7.1* This app is nice, but it really needs an option to default to the Your Lists screen on opening the app. The only choices offered are to open to a new list or open to the previous list. It's kind of a pain to have to press 2 things each time the app opens in order to view all your existing lists. Please add this feature. The design does not have a constrained view of how or why one should use randomised lists, so the app is simple and versatile. —— With the latest update it’s still a great utility but the menu organisation is weirdly awkward. You have a “new things” menu for new list, new number list. Why is “my lists” on that menu? Why isn’t import list on that menu? That would make a new list. My lists needs a button of its own. Save list needs a button of its own. If UI space is tight, to be pair My lists with Save list. Also, where has the export list option gone? —— No ads or up-sell. Highly rated. ### 5/5 — Worked like a charm *2020-07-31, version 6.1.1* Randomizer worked like a charm for book giveaways at a small academic event. For each drawing, Randomizer displayed the winner’s name, and spoke the winner’s name aloud. To set up the list, batch import was very convenient. Then, as further registrations trickled in, sync with the participants list was easy by displaying the list in alphabetical order. (More than 120 names total.) Moreover, when I had a question, the developer replied within minutes! So I highly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — I just love this app! *2020-06-22, version 6.1* This is simply the best app for my needs. It gives me random words from the list that I create. I will also ear the random words which makes it fantastic! Contacted the developer about a feature he’d been working on and he replied quickly. After the update with the feature this app is exactly what I need. Thanks for making this app! ### 5/5 — Almost everything I’m looking for... *2020-05-25, version 6.1* So far, great app! I especially like that it allows for importing a csv and copy/pasting a list. Other apps I’ve explored don’t offer this feature. The only thing it is missing is the ability to provide multiple results after hitting Randomize once. This isn’t a deal breaker, and there are obvious work-arounds, but is a nice-to-have. I did mention this to the developer, and he replied right away saying he would look into it. I started using Randomiser to choose what to practise, and the overwhelm is gone! No way tinder history of randomized results. Look and feel if app is bad. ### 1/5 — A simple task but not possible *2020-04-06, version 5.6* I have a numbered list of 300 song titles. I simple want to be able choose one title at a time randomly. My list was created as a Table in Pages but importing is not possible in this format. Nobody will bother to print out a list of hundreds of items and then take the time to place commas between them. I rolled the dice, spent the money and lost. ### 1/5 — Could have been awesome, but it fails badly *2019-07-23, version 5.1.1* Clarification for Rob: it’s not that auto correct doesn’t work, it’s that th x button to clear text is so close to where you press to continue writing. So if I make a mistake, mid sentence, go back and correct it, 9/10 times when I go back to where I was up to to continue writing it will clear all the text instead. Re randomising, I don’t know what to say. I use randomiser websites a lot and have never had the problem I have with yours. I don’t enter any sentence more than once, so there’s no chance that that’s the problem. It just really does repeat a handful of sentences a great deal. If it helps you isolate the problem, the ones that come up repeatedly are usually among the last ten sentences I’ve added. Thanks for getting back to me....like I said in my review, it’s very nearly an awesome app in a field where there isn’t a lot of good ones. But those two problems have had me searching for a replacement many times. This app could be great. It’s easy to use, you can enter a lot of sentences in it etc. But two things ruin it. First (the small problem) if you correct spelling it often results in losing the sentence completely. Secondly (the big one), it simply does not randomise well. I can have forty sentences in a list and if I press “randomise” twenty times, I can guarantee at least ten of the words will be repeats. I’ve just done ten words....out of a list of fifty, its given me four words, and just kept repeating them in a different order. ### 1/5 — Basic and limited *2018-09-27, version 3.3* You can’t paste/import a preexisting list, you have to type everything fresh into the app. Dumb. ### 1/5 — Millie *2018-03-18, version 3.2* Should be free ### 1/5 — It deleted my items! *2017-08-20, version 2.7.1* While I was looking back at my list to see if it saved everything (after naming and saving the list) I discovered many of my items were deleted. I was using the randomizer for writers block ideas and now everything is gone that I added today! If this isn't a bug I want to know why my list was shortened. I didn't pay for this app to lose my hard work. ### 1/5 — This app is terrible. *2017-06-16, version 2.7* Great idea for an app, atrocious execution. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or what but every time I try to make a certain list with two items, after I name and save the list and then try to go back to it the second item is always missing. Or there are just two commas in its place. This has happened like seven or eight times in a row. Each time I try to redo it, each time the app deletes the second item. It also did this for lists with more than two items as well. There should also be an option to view the randomized list laid out, rather than only being able to view each item one by one. It's annoying to have to keep hitting "Randomize" every time when the app could just show me the randomized order all at once. Unfortunately, when you enable the "randomize session" feature, the message "end session" appears in the center of the screen once the items in the list have been exhausted. Personally, I find this message very annoying. All I want it to do is allow me to make a list and have it pick items off that list at random. Something that’s not complicated, doesn’t need to be complicated, and is not made complicated by this app. Thanks for keeping it simple, people… I mean that. Only one tiny bit of constructive criticism / suggestion: you should make it ignore the definite article “the” when putting the list in alphabetical order. This is not a huge deal, seeing as how I want it to randomize my lists, but would make it easier when I want to find an item to delete or what have you. Otherwise this app is simple and great. ### 5/5 — Awesome! *2024-11-18, version 8.3* I like this Randomizer bc it is easy to use and works very well. I love the privacy policy!! Also, the developer was so easy to reach and respond when I had a request and question. The only change I would like to see is that when using on an iPad, the random item window does not completely cover the other listed items in the background. I plan to use this for a youth speech club tournament, and I don't want the participants to be able to see the next question until it's time. I can use the app on an iPhone instead, where the random item window will cover the whole screen to hide the next question. I want to display on a TV for the whole speech club so I'll have to use an adapter for that, but I think it's all going to work very well. What should we have for dinner? What movie should we watch? Which board game should we play? After thousands of “I don’t care, you pick” I decided to build my own Randomizer app to fix this once and for all. Luckily when I searched the App Store I found the exact app I wanted to make! I can create all my most used random tables and access them without rolling dice. It speeds up play nicely. I have one game that uses circluar tables that you were supposed to spin a pencil on for a result. Predictably that didn’t go so well. The tables have 13 entries so there is no dice equivalent. I could never play it until now. Solved!
