If you’re a hunter who needs a quick distance calculation then you can’t go wrong. Just point the crosshairs at the base of an object, input the height of your phones position and bingo. ### 5/5 — Works like a champ once u figure it out *2019-11-07* Pay attention to your elevations especially if your in hilly terrain. Flat ground and it’s a piece of cake to use!!! Stand elevation vs target elevation EX:on a hillside, to your left is maybe 21 ft down, to your right only 16 ft, in front of you 26ft, and behind you only 13 ft. If you’ve ever ran a laser or transit you’ll understand easily how this works. It’s pretty dam close!! I like it a lot!! ### 5/5 — Life Saver! *2019-11-03* Love it! Forgot the range finder in the truck! Downloaded this app! Set my tree stand height and I range a couple spots I had ranged before and knew the ranges and it was dead on! I have distances pre ranged in my stand but wanted something to make sure when I was questioning myself and my little brother had my range finder. I downloaded the app set the left slide bar to 18ft and ranged my pre marks and it is spot on. Could not be happier. Thank you very much. Also the tree line across from me is 120 yards out. This range finder app says it is 118 so all in all it’s pretty darn accurate past 40 yards when following directions ### 4/5 — Really great. Know it’s limitations! *2019-09-02* This app gives correct measurements based on inputs on level ground. I assume that it uses the input height and the angle of the phone to make a trigonometric calculation of the range. Be aware that for a correct measurement the height should be above the animal’s feet. If you are 20 feet up in a tree stand on a steep slope, the proper height measurement for the app could well be significantly more (or less) than 20 feet. If you expect it to work as well as a $400 laser unit, you’re expecting too much, but as a stand-in to get a rough measurement it works really well if you understand it’s limitations. ### 4/5 — Not a bad app to play with *2018-11-02* Even with some bad reviews I got it anyway and with the recommendations of the developer I was able to get it within 2 yards of being right. There is still more tweaking I can do. ### 3/5 — Does the job, but only in imperial. *2020-05-25* Not too bad, but there doesn’t seem to be a metric setting. Everything is in yards. So I have to use my phone to make the conversions once I get the distance from this app. Pretty annoying. I’d love to see a metric setting added. I’ll add more stars to my rating if it appears. ### 2/5 — Get what u pay for. *2020-08-14* Not accurate at all. I have archery range set up in my back yard with yardage markers measured out, I can only get within a yard or two if I stand where I know the yardage actually is and play with the app. The slide bar and aiming it at the base of the target doesn’t do much to better the accuracy. Plus you have to remain absolutely still or it can throw it off over 10-15 yards. Would have been awesome if it worked but for 3 dollars it was worth a shot. I’ll try to get my money back. I did see the negative reviews but I’m hardheaded and wanted to see for myself. Hope this helps others.
