### 3/5 — Leary

*2021-07-05, version 1.8.3*

Downloaded the app and wanted to use it. Right after I noticed apple removed certain apps stating that they violated App Store policy. Is there a web UI for this app in case certain individuals disagree with our inherent freedom? Willing to change rating if I get more information.

### 3/5 — Subscription based app-with no free features

*2021-03-02, version 1.8.2*

I was looking for a free shot timer, something that honestly can be handled easily and I bet the reason most people come to the app to begin with. What I found was a feature heavy app that intrigues me, unfortunately I dont want to give my cc info to join just to find out how they handle the functions of these add-ons. My suggestion: offer the shot timer free or at a one time app download charge(say .99), additional training features etc, require upgrading to a subscription. This will get people a chance to see what they are missing out on, and allow them to trust the work you’ve done in the interface etc. even allow ads on the free version to offset your “losses” although I doubt you will notice any as it seems you have thought this app out pretty well. Only a suggestion and you can continue how you wish.

### 2/5 — Not free

*2020-09-16, version 1.8.2*

They make you set up an account and buy a plan before using the app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-05-13, version 1.8.2*

If you’re looking for a good shooting app for beginners, this is the one to get!

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2020-05-04, version 1.8.1*

This app is definitely worth it if you need helping adding structure to your dry fire and range sessions.

### 1/5 — Charged before trial was over

*2020-04-24, version 1.8*

I was charged before my 30 day trial was over. Also, you have made it extremely difficult and confusing to unsubscribe. I do not appreciate that it feels like I’m being forced to stay in a subscription. Fix it.

### 5/5 — Awesome App :)

*2020-04-22, version 1.8*

Fun and simple app

### 1/5 — Not free

*2020-03-22, version 1.7*

After downloading you open the program only to find you get a 30 day trial this is a paid app you must pay to use it not a one time but you must subscribe and pay repeatedly. The way they show in the App Store makes it appear like the app is free with features unlocked by paying but that’s not true you must subscribe the bait and switch is very underhanded regardless of how good the app is.

### 1/5 — Works fine but...

*2020-03-13, version 1.7*

Works fine with some small issues dialing in sensitivity. Would be a better rating if their support team would have got back to me with a request to change my email address on my account. I can’t log in because I forgot my password and I can’t reset my password because the wrong email is on my account. Cancelled subscription and I’ll think about doing it again and updating my review if the issues are resolved with my email.

### 5/5 — Top notch

*2020-02-26, version 1.7*

By far the best and most practical shot timer app on the market.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Do not subscribe!

*2023-12-22*

Loved the app until I could no longer login to use it. Any attempts at changing your login/password all error out both through the app and the website. No responses for assistance over the course of several months of trying.

Worse yet, you have to be able to login in order to cancel your subscription. I ended paying for the app for several months without being able to use it.

In order to fix the issue so that they didn’t continue to take my money every month for something I couldn’t use, I had to cancel the card I had on file and have my bank issue me a new card.

Buyer beware!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2023-11-08*

It just says “an error occurred.” The to login, “an error occurred.” Maybe the password is the problem and I need to reset it. Press “reset password” an error occurred.” Try to send a help request, “an error occurred.” Send them an email, no response. The error did not occur when they took my money.

### 1/5 — Trash Service

*2022-12-21, version 2.0*

Personally the app is alright, it’s helpful. But my personal gripe is customer service or lack there of. I’ve reached out several times on issues with their website, you can order products and apparel stuff like that. It’s been months, and nobody replies. If it’s a one man show, great, run a better business. Answer you DM or E-Mail assess the issue, and fix it. Rather than just ignoring something you started, and just doing your own thing while stealing peoples money. It’s ridiculous. Anyone should just be wary of what they’re getting, and make better decisions before buying anything from here.

### 1/5 — Too expensive subscription based app

*2022-11-27, version 2.0*

Way too expensive per month for what it offers. Agree with other reviewer that you need more free features to tell if the others might be worth the subscription. I’d rather chart on paper my journal for free than to pay 10, 20 dollars a month. I can buy more targets and rounds with the savings.

### 1/5 — No free features beyond the trial

*2020-11-24, version 1.8.2*

This app isn’t free and has no free features. Required you to provide payment information to “activate” your 30 day trial period.

I don’t give my credit card information before I have even seen a product and this isn’t a business model that I support. Immediately deleted.

If you let me have a 30-day trial and then asked for payment at the end of the trial I would be more likely to do it. Asking for it up front is shady and relying on you forgetting to cancel.

### 1/5 — Requires subscription

*2020-08-16, version 1.8.2*

You can’t even test the app without paying for a subscription.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t pick up all shots

*2020-08-05, version 1.8.2*

Terrible app, usually only picks up 3 in five shots. Even at its most sensitive it won’t pick up gunfire on a private range

### 1/5 — Crazy subscription pricing

*2020-05-06, version 1.8.2*

Absolutely insane pricing. Lots of other options out there. Forces you to register before you try. Avoid.

**Developer response:** There are literally no other options out there for what I'm offering. And $10/mo is less than one box of 9mm. For folks who train, that's literally 5 minutes of range time worth of ammo. But for someone who run a .40 twice a year, you're right. Not worth it.

### 1/5 — Offer free trial, then ask for money

*2020-05-03, version 1.8.1*

There is no option to try it out first. You’ve got to submit your credit card info and it’s not the way the apps work these days. Argument of you offering a free trial won’t work because I still need to enter my credit card first. It’s easier to type a negative review than give away my credit card info.

### 1/5 — Not worth it.

*2020-05-01, version 1.8.1*

Could not even creat a account. Would not except my password that was more than the six characters required. And most of all, why is that needed to use a shoot timer app?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-02-09, version 2.0*

I love this app. For just a few dollars a month, I can track performance data for my live and dry fire. Very cool.

### 5/5 — Great product for personal accountability.

*2022-02-10, version 1.9*

If your intention is to be more proficient and effective with your training, this app is certainly a means to help with achieving your goals.

### 5/5 — Music while I dry fire!!

*2021-05-18, version 1.8.3*

Love it!! Helps me train daily!!

**Developer response:** Me too!! Thanks much. Email at info@rangefox.com if you have any questions at all!

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2020-12-03, version 1.8.2*

What an amazing and great idea. Being able to record how many reps of dryfire I did as well as having multiple par times and all of the drills in one place to reference and shoot. All around awesome app and awesome ideas. Looking forward to following the progression. 🇺🇸

### 5/5 — Pretty cool!

*2020-07-04, version 1.8.2*

Not to be a noob or anything but how does the dry fire option work exactly? I’m a little bit confused. Can’t wait to try it out on Sunday!

### 5/5 — This app is awesome

*2020-06-30, version 1.8.2*

This is my first time to try RangeFox app. Just think it has nice concept.

### 5/5 — Impressed

*2020-05-13, version 1.8.2*

This brought me to a higher level

### 5/5 — Perfect for training

*2020-05-13, version 1.8.2*

Cool concept for this app with a ton of features. The leaderboard makes you want to stay sharp and the built in shot timer is good too. I’d recommend this to anyone who takes their shooting seriously. A monthly plan is required but it costs less than Netflix and does something totally unique.

### 5/5 — Well with it!

*2020-05-13, version 1.8.2*

Awesome App. Nice way to track my performance and is worth every penny!

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2020-05-13, version 1.8.2*

Works accurately and very intuitive
