When all of a sudden the error ‘No KS where KS required. We’re sorry, access to this content is restricted. Everything works ok on the club’s website but no on the app. ### 2/5 — App Casting *2022-08-16, version 2.0.8* Lots of issues casting from iphone to Chromecast. ### 2/5 — Poor *2022-07-09, version 2.0.8* The casting button doesn’t work so I buy the matches then stream them illegally. Not a great way to treat your supporters Rangers. ### 2/5 — App will not open *2022-07-06, version 2.0.8* The app used to be good but in the past 6 months I have not been able to open it at all!! Deleted and re downloaded - check. Changed password - check. Contacted customer support - check. I had to watch the Europa League final on YouTube with a VPN as logging in from the website was horrendous. I would really love this to be fixed so that I can make use of my Rangers TV subscription..!! ### 1/5 — Poor *2022-01-13, version 2.0.6* I often have to sign back into the app. Does not remember my login details. Support are awful and just ignore you, they don’t care. You can’t watch matches from beyond the current season and the content without that isn’t worth £60 per year! The app support link just takes you to the rangers website, no email contact. I wouldn’t be surprised if this review isn’t even checked, never mind acted upon!! ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2021-11-01, version 2.0.6* The app is constantly crashing, doesn’t give details of upcoming games and it’s impossible to pay for a game on the app. You have to go to Rangers TV website. Really poor stuff. ### 1/5 — No casting option! *2021-07-16, version 2.0.3* Very poor since changing midway through last season. Lack of casting option is very disappointing given not everyone has a smart tv. ### 1/5 — One hot mess! *2021-07-02, version 2.0.3* Gave up and reverted to using browser. Where to start? No search function. Crashes a lot. Will not do proper full screen. Need to double tap screen to switch to landscape which also restarts the current video. Doesn’t follow normal touch controls such as double tap to skip forward or back. Pause icon briefly flashes up in centre of screen every couple of minutes. Need to sign in every time and doesn’t store login credentials. Seriously in need of an overhaul. ### 1/5 — App keeps crashing? *2021-04-03, version 2.0.2* Can’t review this app because it keeps crashing before I can even open it? ### 2/5 — Really bad since update *2021-03-11, version 2.0.2* Firstly the app logs out ever time you close it, fair enough for security but atleast have option to remain signed in or even use touch/Face ID login. Secondly only works in portrait mode if you switch will restart video (infuriating after a while) and also cuts off top of video, how could someone not have thought a mobile app should have videos to suit a mobile? Lastly just generally app crashing more often now and you guessed it back to login screen! You only got the second star because so like the picture of Morelos at the start ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-03-03, version 2.0.2* When I log in it kicks me straight back out again. It’s simply not working ### 1/5 — An app made worse mid season *2021-03-01, version 2.0.2* Much worse than it used to be - no ability to cast to other devices, not available to download on smart TVs to make up for that, doesn’t automatically recognise landscape orientation. Baffling that this was changed halfway through this season to make the experience worse for fans stuck at home. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement *2021-02-22, version 2.0.2* Obviously with a new app there will be teething issues which I am hoping will be resolved in future. The following are somewhat annoying: - app doesn’t stay logged in so I have to log in every time I use it - when watching videos in landscape orientation you cannot select to fit the video to full screen - it is too big for the screen - if watching video in portrait and then switching to landscape the video starts from the beginning again - casting no longer available (only AirPlay) ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone in landscape mode *2021-02-21, version 2.0.2* As above, select landscape and the screen rotates but after a few seconds the app appears to restart before closing down completely ### 2/5 — Airplay doesn’t work properly *2021-02-20, version 2.0.2* I’m a new subscriber to Rangers TV and I’ve tried to watch a handful of games now using AirPlay and it has never worked right. It stutters every minute or two. If you go on the Rangers TV website using Safari and use AirPlay from there it works fine so clearly it’s a problem with the app itself. If you’re gonna offer the AirPlay function then surely you should make sure it actually works first. If you want to just watch games on your phone screen then this app is probably fine but it’s pretty much useless if you want to watch games on your TV screen. ### 4/5 — Where’s the Content? *2021-02-15, version 2.0.1* It’s so difficult to find what you’re looking for. I can watch pirate streams on my tv no bother but I can’t pay to watch games legitimately. Not a good look. ### 1/5 — Can't sign in *2023-12-09* Keep getting the message "email must be valid". Crashes every time I open it. Rangers tv is God awful. What other service forces you to see the scores before you view the match. Content is all jumbled up and I quite frequently miss new videos. Airplay never works for a live match always puts tv to start of program which could be days in advance of kickoff. This app could be great but whoever is hosting and in charge of this isn’t doing their job right.
