Links open up in pdf and it’s difficult to add signatures and required information. Some links that open up are hard to fill in. A user should be able to fill in forms on the fly and not have to worry about downloading copies until everything is completed. If they reject a form there is no explanation as to why. They can just keep it on file and save everyone the trouble of dealing with this . ### 1/5 — Not user friendly for parents *2025-08-11* This app is poorly designed. Confusing! I uploaded one page of the physical and didn’t know I needed to add the entire packet. This is a waste of time when my child could bring the paperwork to the school and the admin personal could upload it themselves. My child was denied as a result that I only uploaded one page but the app didn’t show which form I already uploaded. The person that messaged me didn’t help either. Poor app and poor communication by the school user as well. I wouldn’t pay to use this service and our tax dollars are enabling school staff to do less and less each year. ### 2/5 — Needs improvement *2025-08-10* I’ve been getting messages in my inbox but none of the messages show. I’ve reached out to Rank one and they just simply said the app needs to be updated or if it’s messages they sent before I even downloaded the app that’s why they don’t show. My app is updated and I’ve been getting messages after downloading the app, so it’s neither of their options. They still haven’t resolved my issue and as a first time parent with this app, I’m definitely disappointed. ### 2/5 — Not user friendly *2025-08-08, version 2.9.57* My biggest complaint is that there isn’t enough direction and explanation on how to get the physicals uploaded. I’ve got it uploaded, and it’s showing approved, but the school says we haven’t uploaded in the document. ### 1/5 — Beware - credit card fraud *2025-07-23* My credit card company flagged two probing transactions by Rank One and we shut down my card for fraud. I never gave them my card and have no idea how they got it. It is not a card I actually use for online payments to begin with. My kid played one season where they used this app. Very suspicious company and app. ### 1/5 — No *2025-07-23, version 2.9.52* This app is the worst. Not responsive. Not intuitive. Takes forever to upload a pic of a physical form. Leads with all the negative stuff of deleting an account before you even begin to modify one, seriously bad ### 1/5 — Not Good *2025-06-06* Scam pop up ads right on top of forms you are filling out that deceive you to think you must click on it!! Beware!! And, Forms are not intuitive for student parents. When adding new student form says not found until you add their birthdate in a pop up that doesn’t even say “birthdate” or what it is for. Medical questions don’t have checkbox option for none or N/A. Form kicks you back for “alternate” phone numbers for every parents phone and emergency contacts entry- who has more than one number these days?!?! A teenager could design a better App ### 1/5 — Scam links *2025-05-14, version 2.9.23* The so-called activation process is a series of scam links and fake downloads. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A chance to improve *2026-09-02* Our district is required to use this app. So Rank One here’s your chance to improve your app! Communication is essential for players and coaches but right now it’s super unfunctional we need push notifications in time with an ability to add calendar ability. Look at TeamSnap, band, player space, game changer for inspiration. We are required to use you so creators get creative! ### 1/5 — Cannot turn off email notifications *2026-08-19* Our school district is new to this platform. Parent accounts are not given the ability to control notification settings. So for every message or event created by a coach or team member, parents receive an email. The email has zero information, only informs that one needs to check the app. With push notifications on, I do not need an email. With a team that has a lot of chatter, it’s easy to have my inbox full of emails (with no substance) telling me to check the app to see messages I was already alerted to via push notifications. I am disappointed we are not given options on how we’d like to receive communication. ### 1/5 — How can an app in 2026 be so bad *2026-08-17* Our school district just switched to Rank One. I understand the desire to streamline and curtail communication between coaches and players to one platform, but this app has been a big disappointment. No web-based access to your account - only through the app which would be fine if the app was good. No text notifications - only email, features are clunky and seems at least a decade behind user experience functionality. Kudos to their sales team for selling such a poor product to our district, but from a parent perspective, there has to be better alternatives out there. ### 1/5 — No Body Uses It *2026-08-13, version 3.10.58* No Body Uses it because it’s not helpful. When I go to the App Store to do that, there is no update. It just opens the app and then I get the same message. I can’t use it until it allows me to update. As a parent and volunteer, I love how easy it is to check schedules, complete forms, and get updates from the athletic department. Everything is organized and accessible from my phone. No more searching through emails or paper handouts. The interface is clean, and notifications are timely. This app has truly simplified communication between schools, coaches, and families.
