One of the things the app doesn’t do that the website does is allow you to search keywords for lists in which the keywords are ranked. On the website, for example, if I search “The Nutcracker,” I’ll see lists about The Nutcracker as well as lists like “best ballets,” where it ranks #5 (or whatever). The app will only show me lists with it in the list name. ### 3/5 — Blank screen ruins browsing *2026-01-05, version 1.28.0* I’ll admit, I was beyond excited when I saw there was finally an app for one of my all time favorite websites. The day had finally arrived when I could browse Ranker via an app and I was being ecstatic. So why 3 stars instead of 5? Two reasons. 1) I went through and very carefully selected my interests but every time I open the app, none of my interests are on the home page. It’s always tv/movie related content, none of which I follow. If my custom content would pop up (instead of me having to go digging for it). 2) When I’m going through a list, I inevitably get a blank screen at some point. I have to go back a page, then guessed again to finish reading the list I was just on. This happens every single time I view a list, and usually when I’m halfway to three quarters of the way through the list I’m reading. When I go back, then forward again, it never puts me back to the spot I was reading, rather it puts me back to the earlier items u was reading. Super frustrating. If these two things were fixed, this app would be perfection. Until then, 3 stars. ### 4/5 — Save Articles and Make Lists *2025-09-12, version 1.27.0* I love the wide range of topics Ranker offers! I do wish I could save articles and create lists! ### 2/5 — Update issues. *2025-01-29, version 1.23.0* I absolutely love ranker. I read different lists almost very night to fall asleep. I downloaded the app because the website tends to have to many ads. The setup of the app is great. But the problem is it never updates. I never look up anything specific. I just find what looks interesting. My favorite is weird history. But I’ll go to that section and it’s always the same lists. It never refreshes to new content. So after a week or two the app is kinda pointless unless you want to scroll forever to find new content. ### 2/5 — Updates *2025-01-28, version 1.23.0* Stories haven’t changed in a long time. I have restarted my phone, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, to no avail. Blank white screen every time I click on a list. Everything works fine, the only issue I have is when I search a topic and try and open an article. Nothing loads. I have tried closing the app completely and reopening. Iv tried deleting the app and redownloading but nothing seems to fix or make it work. For the last week and a half or so, I can’t get any results when I go to the categories. I can open the categories, but as soon as it pops up, it says invalid request and shows a totally blank screen below. I so often have to go into Google and search a simple phrase to find the list I’m looking for.
