I’ve just updated the app (November 2025), and unless I’m blind, I honestly can see where I can open up and read reviews. There are a couple reviews that you can see on the main page of a particular camp site, but it would be more useful if I could see how recent those reviews were, and a campsite that has 70+ reviews and I can only see 3 or 4 - really not useful. Really regretting upgrading it now ### 3/5 — content is amazing, app needs work *2023-05-18* Indispensable app for road tripping around New Zealand. But, Some things were very broken for me though. Adding reviews seemed like they never posted. This thing would constantly tell me to download maps for places I was nowhere near. And when I moved to the South Island from the north island there was NO way to delete old downloaded maps (they take a ton of space). It’s also very unclear when you’re using offline maps. For the foreigners, please delineate on the map where/what these areas are. ### 5/5 — Rankers is the best for NZ motorhome holiday *2022-11-13, version 2.16.23* Easy to use, great traveller reviews that you trust and tips on walks, sights, campsites (paid and free), where to find supermarkets, fuel, dump stations, water- everything you need to help get you around and enjoy NZ stress free. We booked with Sunrise Holidays for the motorhome then used both Rankers and their advice on the trip. E.g. Dogs Allowed AND free AND non-self contained. There are very few reviews and photos for a lot of the campsites and incorrect information. I have taken the time to add reviews and photos and these have never shown up on the app. Waste of time. This app was beyond helpful for finding all the things that you need to find when you’re in an area you don’t know. We were mainly Freedom camping and occasional parks. Helpful with both of these + dump stations., etc.,etc. It’s the only one you need!! Thanks Rankers-our trip was so much easier because of you! ### 5/5 — Excellent App *2025-01-01, version 2.16.55* Everything you need to know for your NZ trip can be found in the Rankers app. Its easy to use and you can download the maps to use offline. There are real people behind the app as well. I preferred it to the rival Campermate. If you search on Campermate it bombards you with emails about your enquiry. Rankers app doesn’t do that so it is better because you can search and enquire without being hassled. ### 5/5 — 10/10 *2024-11-26, version 2.16.53* Love using this app, it’s the best way to travel around NZ. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Rankers App *2024-05-17* Kia Ora to all the nice people who are using this web platform here are my own personal views and hope that they help you navigate this beautiful country, as very few of those lonely planet and trip advisor apps will. If you come here totally as a novice as I was way back in 2017 with a iPhone 6s and none of the back home phone providers would help, we used this app to pin point how close we were to an intended camp ground and just home in to the location it was showing especially in the South Island.
