## What is Rapid Exercises?

Rapid Exercises carries a preparedness exercise through its whole life cycle — from the first scenario sketch to a finished evaluation report and an action plan someone actually follows up.

The platform is built for Norwegian organisations and follows the exercise methodology of the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB). You do not need to be an exercise specialist to start: guided flows, ready-made templates and AI-assisted drafting mean the person who inherits the exercise can genuinely run it.

Supports discussion-based exercises, functional exercises, games and full-scale exercises — from a one-hour tabletop around a table to full scale with role players in the field.

PLANNING
• Build the scenario, objectives and a master event list with time-triggered injects
• Reuse templates, or upload existing plans in Word and Excel as source material
• Place the exercise inside a multi-year training programme
• Invite partner organisations into joint exercises, each with their own access level
• A data-sharing agreement between the parties, with the processing profile derived from the exercise itself

DELIVERY
• Follow the event list live and log what happens as it happens
• Participants join with a code — no account or licence of their own
• Call roles in the exercise straight from the app, including AI-played counterparts
• Get notified as tasks and deadlines approach
• Document from the field with photos

EVALUATION AND REPORTING
• Capture first impressions immediately after the exercise
• External evaluators get the assignment in the app, with deadline, reminder and delivery — not as a link they have to dig out of their inbox
• Track who accepted, who is under way and who has delivered
• A view across exercises: who is booked when, and who is double-booked
• Keep findings, lessons and the action plan in one place
• Export to Word, PDF and PowerPoint

WORKS WITH YOUR TOOLS
Files can stay in your organisation's own Teams area, exercise meetings land in the Outlook calendar, and evaluation data can be pulled into Power BI. RAPID does not replace the tools you already use.

ACCESS
The app requires an account in an organisation using Rapid Exercises. Participants and external evaluators get in through a code or invitation link, without a licence of their own.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.7 — 2026-09-15

Role players — the people who act as casualties, relatives and bystanders
A complete module for running role players: a roster, role cards with vital signs and response rules, call-ups by SMS, and a page each person opens without creating an account. They get a reminder the evening before and two hours before, and are told immediately if the meeting point moves or their role changes. At check-out, everyone is accounted for before the sheet closes.

The module is off until someone turns it on — under Settings on the exercise.

Discussion exercises now have a delivery view
Tabletop exercises had nothing to run from. Now there are discussion points with a time box, a clock and notes, and the phone can drive a screen over HDMI so the room sees what you see.

A completed exercise can be reopened
If something turns up afterwards, "Evaluated" no longer locks the door.

Also: the start button has moved into the bottom bar on mobile, the language follows whoever is reading, and report templates now work where documents are actually sent.

### 1.2.6 — 2026-09-13

The app is called Rapid Exercises
We make several Rapid products, and the name should tell you which one you have in front of you. It now reads the same everywhere — on your home screen, inside the app, and in the emails you receive.

Connect your AI assistant to your exercises
If you use Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant, you can now connect it to your exercises. Ask for status, have it walk through the event list, or let it suggest injects. You decide what each connection is allowed to do, and you can revoke it at any time. No change is saved until you have seen it and said yes.

An administrator in your organisation has to turn the feature on first, under Settings → AI connections.

### 1.2.5 — 2026-09-11

Evaluation assignments in the app
If you have been asked to evaluate an exercise, the assignment now sits in the app with its deadline and progress — no more digging for the email with the link. Accept or decline, assess as you go, and file it when you are done. A reminder the day before the deadline.

If you run the exercise
See who accepted, who is under way, who has delivered and who declined — and send a reminder with one tap. A separate view shows your evaluators across exercises: who is booked when, who is double-booked, and who never delivers.

Security
Substantial hardening of access control. One organisation's data is now isolated from another at every level, and roles and subscriptions can only be changed server-side.

Faster start-up
The app loads considerably faster, especially on mobile networks.

Fixes
• The microphone is now released when you leave the screen mid-call
• The task portal can be closed again
• Export to PDF and PowerPoint works in every report view
• Simultaneous editing of the same event list warns instead of overwriting
• Deadlines show on the right day, including those falling late in the evening

### 1.2.2 — 2026-07-26

Nyheter i 1.2.2:
