Packed with details and functions, but hard to operate. Often drops out. I know a new version is on the way, and hoping many things have been ironed out. Constantly having to register and set up is a pain and atm I have just stopped using it altogether. It is not just app even if you do it through a web site. Follow the registration and log in to a blank white page which eventually appears after a very long time showing 4 yellow and one red pulsing blobs! Wasted a day on this! Hopefully disabling wifi will enable me to use it. Have yet to prove this works! The user interface is terrible and hard to navigate. You can tell this web app was an afterthought, even when try ing to select dates for example, it just won’t let you. Feels as though it was made as a web app for a computer and then half arsed ported to be ‘barely’ viewable on a phone. It’s better going to the website and adding it as a bookmark to the Home Screen, that actually works ### 1/5 — Poor Interface *2026-01-05, version 1.4* The Brewzilla eguipment is fine, although its ability to control a stable mash temperature is not great. However, the app is a piece of garbage - don’t bother installing it and control the hardware manually. No problems with registering and getting a connection, it is the abysmal interface that lets it down. It feels like someone’s high school IT project! ### 1/5 — This is the worst app/product line I’ve ever used *2025-12-30, version 1.4* Somehow, in 2025, this app manages to be less reliable than technology from over a decade ago. It’s slow, broken, constantly logs users out, and wrapped in a UI that seems designed to frustrate users. The pill I got it for is a worthless overpriced piece of garbage. It now sits on its charger having never ever done the job that it was built and bought for. I suppose somebody out there can make these work, otherwise they’d never sell anything, but then again maybe I am just that naive. Stay away from this app and these products they weren’t meant for us. I will be deleting the app and throwing away the piece of trash. The user interface is neither user-friendly nor up to modern standards. Everything is far too cluttered and unnecessarily complicated. Just take a look at apps like Brewfather or the one from Anton Paar – that’s what modern and user-friendly design looks like. Please improve the app! If you manage to eventually get past the white logging in screen (good luck with that) then the interface isn’t particularly user friendly. Deeserve 0 Stars ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works great *2026-01-07, version 1.4* I don’t understand the other reviews, although they are a few years old and probably relate to earlier builds of the app. I have done 20+ ferments and I’ve never had any issues. The app links fine with the web portal and it displays the data exactly the same and has the exact same functionality. Great bit of kit and a welcome companion to the portal. ### 5/5 — Great wrapper, Zero problems *2025-04-26, version 1.4* No idea why this has been rated so poorly. Maybe historical but that’s not been my experience since March 25. It’s a great wrapper and allows monitoring of my brew when am in the pub. ### 5/5 — Too good not to use. *2024-07-05, version 1.4* Great products but app is a little bit of an early release. I need to close the app by swiping up each time I go to look at my brew otherwise it won't log in. Once it's working it's a pleasure to use. Your approach to give home brewers amazing affordable tools are great and highly appreciated by everyone no doubts. But based on your business situation which is periodically mentioned by your team in multiple videos, this application is absolute joke. What about allocating some budget and make proper date picker, make plots visual experience more pleasant? As for example ABV measured by pill are displayed with dots and can’t be even selected on the dashboard. Everything works like some sorts of beta prototype made by student on the weekend spare time. I should say backend are well done, your IoT communication structure are well engineered. Refreshing page for updates are ok, it is conservative way of avoiding pointless load. But actual UI is a joke. Please trow some cash in to interface designer pocket. I believe is the time to make beta > alpha transition. Thank you and have a great day. You absolutely rock in everything also, but no F UI lol ))) ### 4/5 — App no longer works- but was since fixed! *2023-10-25, version 1.3* ***edit*** The app has since started working again and the refresh (that used to crash the app) is also working. Updated from one to 4 stars. *** Since the latest update the app won’t work. I get a white screen, then the pulsating yellow rectangles that do not go away. I think this update was not for my iPhone 12.
