## What is RareTap?

RareTap tracks the hours and keeps the story. One tap clocks a work session, a workout, a study block; tap again to stop — and the day you tracked gives your journal a head start. Export your hours and journal to an Obsidian vault you own. Most trackers lock your time in; RareTap hands it back as a date-keyed folder: a daily Markdown note, a Dataview-queryable YAML summary of where your hours went, and the journal you wrote that day, joined by date. Query it, weave it in, keep it forever. Clean CSV and JSON timesheets export too.

TRACK ANYTHING

### 1.2.5 — 2026-09-02

A welcome tour for new users, and two fixes.

• New to RareTap? A short, skippable five-screen tour now shows the first time you open the app: the one-tap timer, a lane for every activity, automatic clock-in at a saved place, the journal, and the calendar look-back. Replay it anytime from Settings → How It Works. Existing users won't see it.
• Deleting a profile no longer makes the rows below jump before you confirm.
• The one-time rating request arrives a little sooner, after your first journal moment.

### 1.2.4 — 2026-08-31

Smoother deletes, and an easier way to reach me.

- Deleting a profile is smooth again — swipe to reveal Delete and tap to confirm, with no flicker before the confirmation. Your saved places work the same way.

- Reach the developer from inside the app: Settings now has a Support section that opens a prefilled email (with your app version and device), so a question is one tap away.

- The in-app Privacy Policy links now open RareTap's own site.

Small fixes to wording and accessibility:

- VoiceOver now announces the clock controls by what they do — "Clock in" and "Clock out."
- On a Mac, RareTap no longer mentions surfaces a Mac doesn't have, and permission help points to System Settings.
- The location permission explanation is clearer about what it's for.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-07-24

RareTap 1.2.2 is a small update that makes multi-device life smoother.

- Founder unlock now arrives promptly on a newly signed-in device, instead
  of waiting for a relaunch.
- New activity shares link through raretap.app/share. The card and message
  are unchanged, and links already shared keep working.
- On a Mac (iPhone apps on Apple Silicon), the App Icon setting is now
  hidden — macOS can't change an iPhone app's icon, so the setting only
  applies on iPhone.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-07-21

Sharing looks cleaner in RareTap 1.2.1. Premium material share cards now keep every digit and footer edge fully visible, and shared activity messages no longer add a redundant one-word subject. This update also includes small polish improvements.
