However there is a distinct lack of data for the UK compared with the other large number of countries evident. Many variables including CAPE, for example, is missing for the UK and there continues to be an error message when flicking through the soundings at certain times. Needs an upgrade and refurb.... ### 4/5 — Can be improved *2013-01-16* Much improved stability and speed of app compared to 6 months ago. Loads fast and has a good interface. My only complaint is that maps are updated a day too late here in NZ. In effect this means I end up using more up to date web based rasp maps provided by the gliding community. ### 3/5 — Great concept *2012-08-29, version 2.1.2* Great app! I cannot actually put it to use because you don't have charts for The area I live in... But I'm keeping for when the updates come! Thanks!!! ### 2/5 — Could be good... but it is not (yet) *2012-08-04, version 2.0* The first version did not load all the parameter maps for the uk, especially the cloud parameters - bit of an oversight! Update did not fix this and you cannot scroll between the hourly pages as it just pans the Google map around. The annoying adverts work though... Don't think anyone will be paying to get the version without those until the app does everything it should. Good effort, but no cigar. ### 4/5 — So Close! *2012-07-10, version 1.6* This app used to be brilliant - however since 24 May my thermal updraft velocity has been stuff and my tomorrow and day after forecast come up with #fail apart from that the app was brilliant and made picking a soaring day far easier. ### 2/5 — Started off good *2012-07-01, version 1.6* The app used to work great. Now it won't show me "tomorrow's" thermal updraft velocity!! It just shows a "FAIL" message.. Does anyone else have this? None of the North American sites work ### 1/5 — No connectiom *2023-06-18, version 2.9* Strange for me it gives an ERROR message for every place I tried. I do have connection to internet and other weather app programs are working, just not this one. In fact I’d tried 2 years ago deleted app reinstalled with the same outcome so nothing has changed my end. ### 1/5 — Defunct App *2023-02-25, version 2.9* DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It is no longer supported and points to a server that that is defunct. I’m not being malicious, just letting you know that it doesn’t work. I suggest using the web version and place a bookmark on your Home Screen. A link is available on Twitter. ### 1/5 — Used to be a good app now -5 *2013-01-11, version v2.2* As previously mentioned. Great if you want to go soaring at 7am! Unable to scroll through to times later in the day. Ads have ruined the whole thing. Don't bother downloading it dosnt' work! Extremely infuriating app with no tech support. Developer is completely indifferent to the views of the users. IT DOES NOT WORK AND IS A WASTE OF SPACE. YOU ARE UNABLE TO VIEW CHARTS LATER THAN 0700. The swipe facility to scroll through to later times does NOT work. THIS APP SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM APP STORE -20 rating I think. ### 1/5 — Could be useful *2013-01-11, version v2.2* But it's not! Blank maps - but it does now scroll through times of the day! Do these guys not test what they make before they publish it? Clearly NOT! Totally useless. Shame, cos the website is very good. ### 1/5 — Google Maps kills this app *2012-08-11, version 2.1* Since the V2 upgrade this App is of very limited use as Google Maps makes it impossible to swipe through the day, geographical areas that do not use Goole maps still work fine. I would rather not report a bug on the App review but I have not been able to find any other way to contact the developer. I’m a paraglider pilot. Now that I moved to Canada I wish I could continue using it, but no locations are available here ### 5/5 — Great app with a great developer to follow it up *2018-10-26, version 2.9* The app works much easier than than the standard websites. The developer is awesome and helped us out twice with little issues.
