## What is Rast Education?

Rast Education connects families with their children's school in one place.

Accounts are created by the school - there is no public sign-up. A family signs in with a family code issued by the school.

FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS
• Day-by-day attendance, and requesting an absence in advance
• Grades and report cards, once the school has released them
• Homework, class timetable and exam schedule
• Fees, invoices and payment history
• Follow the school bus on a map while it is on its route
• Message teachers and the office directly, with voice notes and attachments

PRIVACY
No adverts, no selling of data, no marketing use. Student data belongs to the school and is managed through it.
Location is collected from staff devices only, for two things: recording a staff member's clock-in at school, and sharing the bus position while a driver is running a route so families can follow the bus. Only the bus route uses location in the background, and the driver sees a clear disclosure before any permission is requested. Parents' and students' locations are never collected.
A guardian can ask, inside the app, for their account to be closed: Profile > Request to leave. The school reviews the request, and on approval the sign-in account is closed. The pupil's school record stays with the school, as its own rules require.

• A real light and dark appearance — follow the phone or choose your own — a Profile tab in the bottom bar, and the More screen sorted into three groups.
• The pupil's own code from the school's slip now signs the pupil in: choose Parent / family or Student on the code screen.
• Documents: upload your children's papers from the app, see what was sent, follow the office's review, and a countdown reminder on the home screen. You can also ask the office to correct your family's record.
• Messages: the latest threads first, a search box, and the directory folded per child, with the office and the school's departments.
• The canteen menu one week at a time, and the calendar as a month grid.
• Class Story appears the moment it is published; photos and a video can travel in one post.
• The app keeps working when the school server is unreachable: what you saw stays on screen, and messages and photos go out when it returns.

• Photos keep their pixels; a video is trimmed and given a cover before publishing, and one that is already small is not compressed again.
