### 4/5 — Questionnement

*2026-07-02*

### 2/5 — Setup issues

*2026-02-02, version 1.1.12*

I really like the sounds…when played on the ipad, but despite every effort, cannot get the app to be triggered from my Yamaha CK61 keyboard.
Chat GPT offered 50 solutions…none of which worked. Korg Module and Garage Band work flawlessly. So far, quite disappointed!

### 3/5 — Time to update

*2025-12-22, version 1.1.12*

Guys, I’ve been using this for years now. Lots to love but it’s time to update.

### 3/5 — Im Vergleich gut

*2025-12-14*

### 4/5 — Updates and extra features needed to keep fresh

*2025-12-08, version 1.1.12*

I love this app but it needs updates to keep it fresh is it possible to get the model where you see the hammer hitting the actual strings on piano that will make this app complete

### 3/5 — No half pedalling!

*2025-04-19, version 1.1.12*

This would be great but there’s no half pedalling so what’s the point? Not a serious instrument.

### 4/5 — LOVE THIS… but…

*2024-12-07, version 1.1.12*

Hands-down, my favorite piano app for iOS when it comes to sound quality.

However, when it comes to functionality, not having a transpose feature makes it frustrating. The only key I’m proficient in is C, so I need to transpose to play with other songs (my brain just hasn’t been able to make the other keys work).

The app that I think does this the best is Sunday Keys, as it gives you the option to set what key the song is in, instead of having to tap a tiny transpose arrow button like the other iOS music apps have.

I don’t code, so I don’t know how difficult it would be to implement those changes, but, I would imagine that it would be very doable and would be easy to release it as an app update.

Thanks,
-Kenny V, Stuck in C

### 5/5 — The best

*2024-03-02, version 1.1.12*

This remains the best, most expressive, most realistic iOS piano out there. A real instrument. Absolutely worth the outlay.

### 5/5 — Excellent !

*2024-02-19*

Top !

### 3/5 — Decent sound on available hardware, but better sample resolution not available on fastest ipad

*2024-01-08, version 1.1.12*

I’ve been using 275 for about 4-5 years on my 2nd gen ipad pro. It sounds decent at 1024 samples, but it really starts to shine at 2048 and above. However, on my 2nd gen iPad pro, the latency at 2048 (42.7ms) and 4096 (85.3ms) was unacceptable.

Recently, I upgraded to a ipad pro 6th gen, which should be 4-6 times faster than the 2nd gen, but the latency times are exactly the same. This is disappointing since Ravenscroft is the primary instrument I use with my midi keyboard.

### 5/5 — Parfait

*2023-11-26*

### 2/5 — Not useable due to sound latency

*2023-11-09*

Ravenscroft 275

I can’t recommend this product.

I already own the desktop version of the Ravenscroft 275. I thought it would be nice to have an iPad version for simplicity. I was hoping to connect my midi control via USB-C and listen through my BlueTooth AirPods. It worked but unfortunately there is a significant delay between what you play and what you hear. I contacted support and they said this latency was unavoidable. There is no latency if you listen through the iPad speakers but then why would you purchase a beautiful grand piano sound to listen to it on iPad speakers?

This is a useless program for me.

### 5/5 — THE FUTURE?

*2023-10-08, version 1.1.12*

I really didn’t want to splash out on such an expensive App, especially since I had no real way of knowing whether or not it would be what I was looking for. Anyway, 20 YouTube clips later, I decided to pull the trigger and just get it. I am blown away!

I think VSTs and Apps like this will eventually take over, and I’m so blessed to be able to take advantage of such innovative breakthrough technologies. Amazing!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sounds good but it’s a pain

*2026-02-05, version 1.1.12*

Never works first time either, with iPad , or nectar midi controller.. It’s frustrating … I’ve got other apps , synths and pianos , no problem , but this drives me mad

### 1/5 — Midi

### 1/5 — midi doesn’t work

*2024-12-29, version 1.1.12*

Bought specifically to use on my iPad and launchkey keyboard - midi doesn’t work so useless . How do I get my money back?! Developers website links takes me to eBay!

### 1/5 — CONTROLS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO USE

*2024-02-04, version 1.1.12*

This app use virtual control knobs. They are very very difficult to adjust up or down, and a couple refuse to go up much or down much. I have tried so many times and ways, and have been patient, but the developer has been inconsiderate enough to make this app extremely difficult to use. Other apps uses sliding controls, but i guess the esthetics of the look the developer wanted to achieve outweighed making it convenient for the paying user to actually use the app.

### 1/5 — Charged me twice

*2024-01-23, version 1.1.12*

When reinstalling I got charged again even though I bought it years ago.

### 1/5 — Sounds good, but unusable

*2023-12-27, version 1.1.12*

A metallic high pitched sustain release sample over (at least) middle two octaves. Would like a refund, but prefer they take my money and hire beta testers.

Purchased around cyber Monday 2023.
iPad Pro 4th edition
iOS 15.6

### 1/5 — Problemas

*2023-10-02*

### 1/5 — Help required for Kawai VPC1

*2022-08-12, version 1.1.11*

I haven’t been able to get this to work with my Kawai VPC1 and iPad. Any help would be useful. Thank you in advance.

### 1/5 — Too much popping sounds

*2022-08-08*

Too much gliches scratches! Please fix that. Even with an iPad Air 2 I can’t play without those annoying sounds

### 5/5 — Simply the best

*2026-02-27*

Hands down the best piano in iOS right now. Rich, bold, deep, dynamic. Sounds huge, like having a 9ft under my fingers. Expressive and responsive from pp to ff, playing is effortless. Simple, user-friendly UI. Maybe too simple, needs another page to control hammer noise and all that stuff. And that bass. Not to mention it’s light. If I can choose only one piano app, this is it.

UVI should keep improving this and do more. Like uprights, felts, EPs, Clavs, etc. for iOS. lose the on screen keys, revamp the UI, go the pro module route. They really did a great job on this, totally worth the money.

They need to make a trial or demo version though so you can try it out and hear it before buying.

### 5/5 — Omg

*2026-02-03*

Wow. No. Like for real. Get this and get on with practicing those piano songs.

### 5/5 — Great sound

*2025-12-25, version 1.1.12*

So far so good. Easy set up and a great sounding piano, much nicer than most I’ve tried.

### 5/5 — The pros know!

*2025-10-28*

I friend of mine had asked me come to his tour bus and play something. He didn’t tell what it was, but he had lugged his Motif XS 8 out and said try it.
I played one chord and I looked at him in disbelief. It was set up perfectly for a real keyboard. No other virtual piano I had tried was that way. They were set up for unweighted cheap controllers and required a lot of tweaking to feel right. This was perfect out of the gate!
Since this tool has become available, every single top notch player I know of uses this on stage when thye cannot take their laptop rig.
This leaves out the pointless toom samples a live player would turn off to not sound muddy, which is why it is under 900 megs.
Its under $40 bucks, whats nit to like?

### 5/5 — Great piano app

*2025-04-27*

This is actually a fantastic piano app. In fact, the iOS version puts the Mac version to shame. The Mac version costs multiple times as much as the iOS version. Using this on iPad just kills it!

I’ve tried way too many piano vst’s. This the only one that sends the complete audio back to the speakers of my digital piano, and I don’t hear any of the built-in piano sound coming through. And that’s phenomenal. Pianoteq doesn’t do it; every preset sounds like a blend of Yamaha sound with some Pianoteq sprinkled on top. But not Ravenscroft, every preset I’ve saved has a distinct flavor. The controls are simple and powerful, moving something even one tick gives you a difference you can hear and feel. Saving presets is a breeze. I’ve been able to make presets that sound pretty close to Nord piano sounds that I love, plus a few other great sounding grands!!! Outstanding.

### 5/5 — Exceptional sound for only 35.99

*2025-04-07, version 1.1.12*

This might beat paid $100 VSTs and maybe even pianoteq, this is a must have

### 5/5 — le meilleur piano sur ipad tout simplement

*2025-02-23*

### 5/5 — Super Piano

*2024-12-20*

Très bien staccato vraiment réaliste

### 5/5 — Worth every cent

*2024-03-17*

This app offers only Piano sound - but boy they nailed it. Light years ahead of the “Garage Band” Piano sounds and also better than several other piano sound apps I tried. For reference, I’m a lucky owner of a Nord Piano 88 and I dare say the piano sound is about at the same quality. Some nice features: If you have a MIDI piano attached the app still works in background / with display off. Also you can also slightly mod the built in sounds and make new presets. Params are: 3 Band EQ, String tension, Reverb. Minor drawbacks: The app has its own volume bar that seems decoupled from iOS sound volume and unfortunately always defaults at max volume - this actually has slight clip distortion with the mixing console I use (Yamaha MG10XU). Also on every app restart the sound selection jumps back to the first preset, regardless which one you had last in use. I hope the developers can still fix these tiny bugs in the future. Still 5 stars, fully worth the price. Would buy again.
