The story progression, the music, the graphics everything was amazing and gave me nostalgia. However it was cut short since I completed both the main quest and the sub quests within 2 days. Not even enough to enhance your gear. You can’t buy them anywhere. The final boss is glitched and can’t be beaten. He flies all over and resets his HP. Then he will just fly up and disappear. You can’t even finish the battle. So disappointed. Nowadays changing language in this game is possible only on way of changing language of your devise, then the game switch language automatically but it’s not a way how it should works ### 2/5 — I’m returning this because of bugs *2024-04-24, version 8.0* Even with the extremely clunky navigation, bad view field, the poorly ported interface, and horrible inventory views, I’d probably have pushed on except for bugs. I’m playing on a compatible iPad, and the game crashes all the time, usually when interacting with inventory, always when trying to read something, and often when fighting very poorly coded monsters, such as large dinosaurs. Even with constant saving, it’s just untenable. And then I hit a glitch in the Citadel of Ror-Dan where the crystal key falls and isn’t visible or retrievable. I’ve tried every possible way (leaving and re-entering to reset), and the key just goes away when it falls. This just isn’t worth it for a game that would have seemed good 10 years ago but now feels stale and buggy. ### 5/5 — Massive main storyline bug *2023-12-29* In the Citadel of Ror Dan, I cannot get the key(gem) out of the hands of the big serpent statue using the wind magic, which I’m supposed to do, because it does get it fall down, but it falls right though the ground into oblivion, so it’s impossible to pick it up. BEWARE!!! If you save too much at this point it’d kill your entire game progress too! WORKAROUND - exit the entire game, start up the app again, don’t select continue, but select load game, tap on the upper most timed save slot, then tap on a lower down saved slot to make sure you load back a game state where this bug had not occurred yet - get out of the Citadel of Ror Dan, to let all monsters respawn inside - try to upgrade your acrobatics skill for a bigger jump as much as possible - alternatively you can purchase a high jump magic ring from jeweled fingers in the upper main city - get back in again and kill all skeletons without killing any of the spiders in the middle of the citadel - lure 1-2 spiders to the serpent statue where you are supposed to get the key - jump on top of the spiders close enough to the statue to reach the key from the hands of the serpent statue without using any wind magic - you can jump up to the top of the statue to rest and get your health back if needed, just don’t kill your ladders, I mean step stools, you know… the spiders… - now you’ll be able to open one of the doors at the middle section of the citadel and progress with the story TO DEVS - pls fix this bug asap, do you need a JIRA ticket? ;-) ### 5/5 — Great Game *2023-12-12, version 8.0* This game has a great story, kind of like reading a book tbh, definitely would recommend if you like fantasy and open world games ### 3/5 — Great game, BUT… *2023-10-24, version 8.0* The reasons this game is a ton of fun to play is all over the other reviews - so buy and have fun if you haven’t purchased yet. My issue is with Backbone controller support - for which this game is lauded for supporting. And it would be amazing - but it doesn’t seem to be true. I get no hint of the Backbone being recognized, and it doesn’t look like you have to progress to a certain area/level for support to begin. I’ve played and finished the whole game a few years ago, and re downloaded (paid money) it recently because of nostalgia. Honestly back in the day this game was considered one of the best ios game out there, the graphics, story, combat setting was just amazing even in nowadays. But the moment I downloaded it, I found out that you guys had changed the storyline flow and made it unbelievably harder and not playable. The first mission in my memory was a slow pace, long journey, exp gaining trip, but now it’s unbelievably and unnecessary shortened and unbalanced. Like straight up slaying troll with starter equip? You’re no match against it at all, a few hit and you’re dead. Like I seriously don’t understand why you guys have to change it in such an aspect. Rather than giving it an update. Shortening missions, cutting off some equipments, like why??? For its age, as well as for the platform it was released on, this game really has held up phenomenally well. The graphics for a phone game are about as good as you can reasonably expect. The game is largely beautiful, with a nice variety of environments that encompass an impressively large map. The story is nothing spectacular but is interesting enough to hold your attention and offers a good length for playing, including a variety of interesting side quests. There’s a variety of weapons and armour and whilst they largely require a bit of grind to afford them all, they offer nice variety and a good goal to strive towards. In all, if you are looking for a short but decent foray into an open world adventure, and you’ve enjoyed other open world games, this really is a must buy. That this game never got more recognition than it did is honestly a bit of a joke.
