### 3/5 — Skips Frames

*2025-03-07, version 5.1.4*

When converting pro res raw to dng especially the ones that are longer than 10 seconds, the results often times end up having skipped frames towards the end. Developers please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

### 2/5 — Need to be connected to the internet

*2024-03-09, version 5.0.8*

Program is useless if im somewhere without internet.

### 2/5 — tried a one sec clip to test - fail

*2024-02-06, version 5.0.2*

i recorded a 12 second raw file and tried to test out this app with the free "under 300 frames" application. it said i was over the 300 frame limit. i kept cutting the clip down to 8 seconds, then 4 seconds, 2 seconds and finally 1 second and it still said i was over the frame limit. i really wanted to try and like this app but cannot commit to it without any sort of trial

### 2/5 — Customer Service is non existent

*2024-01-09, version 4.7*

I wish I can give them more stars, but customer service is extremly important with tech. I have tried to contact this company for tech support but to no avail. I am editing a wedding video and need help asap.

### 3/5 — It works but at at big Cost.

*2023-12-07, version 4.7*

Buying the license for a single camera also locks you to a single OS. At the least it would be nice to be able to use the license between 2 Operating Systems'.

### 2/5 — The Quality is just not good

*2023-10-06, version 4.5*

Seems like the Meta Data does not carry over to the DNG file. We are using Play Pro STudio and its works perfect. I am not a troll trying to get everyone to to purchase another program, I am a owner of a good sized production company that recently purchased a DJI Ronin 4D and wanted to edit Prores Raw files in Divincie. To the Developer of this poduct please keep working on it and make it perfect. Reach out to professionals to test it, you are on to something big here... keep it simple to use like you are doing.

### 4/5 — Does what it says!

*2022-11-22, version 3.0*

I used it to convert a drone shot I recieved on a shoot. Also tried some sample footage. Only 300frames of sample footage, as it requires another purchace,

I wish there was an option of 1 purchase of all supported cameras, so there isn't one for each one you come along with, Especially for DIT's, or loaders that have to pay for each one, and may not have internet in the field.

### 3/5 — Only game in town (please add GH5s support)

*2022-11-08, version 2.9*

This is one of the few utilities I've found with no competition. Glad it exists as a Resolve editor who owns an Atomos Ninja V . Just waiting for GH5s support now!

### 3/5 — SL2S

*2022-11-08, version 2.9*

Can you please add the SL2S license to this?

### 3/5 — you need to pay 75.00 for each camera type

*2022-10-08, version 2.9*

I bought this for my A7s III and it does what it says it will do. When I went to covert using my Sigma FP footage it said I needed a liensen for my Sigma FP

If I am wrong how do I get a refund for the second
liensen I bought?

Why don't you explain that on your site?
Not good at returning e-mails either.

### 2/5 — Does what it says KINDA

*2022-09-13, version 2.9*

Just a fair warning. You need a license for EVERY camera... at $75 a pop that can get expensive if you're running multiple camera types.

### 2/5 — Support for app is not great - No recored kept of license purchased

*2022-08-13, version 2.8*

No chat or link in app to support, only a very obscure email that I haven't been able to get a response from in 2 days. I have 3 of the A7S3 cameras and I've used this app twice, (worked decently...) but when I closed the app and came back to use it again, it asked me to purchase another license !! ($74 USD). There is no record of purchases in the app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Red flags

*2026-03-30, version 6.0.6*

I tried it out of curiosity. First, there’s misinformation in the description. For example, Sigma fp (which I own) already outputs CinemaDNG natively, and in fact does NOT output ProRes RAW! While you can send fp’s 12-bit raw stream over HDMI into say Atomos, the resulting ProRes RAW would be encoded by Atomos, not by fp, so selling “support for Sigma fp ProRes RAW” for $80 is extra sketchy and makes me wonder how many other slips like that are made. Second, it immediately starts making multiple requests to online third-party analytics services, which you wouldn’t expect an app designed to just convert raws from A to B to do on its first launch, without any opt-in or forewarning.

### 1/5 — not working

*2024-03-08, version 5.0.8*

when I try and convert a vidoe clip it is saving it into tons of stills.

### 1/5 — UNPROFESSIONAL

*2024-02-15, version 5.0.7*

You need to be connected to the internet in order to verify the license files before you can start converting. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you start the program.
So often on a filmshoot I do not have cell coverag and that makes this application useless. It is so disappointing. If you can avoid it, DO NOT BUY.

### 1/5 — $80 ... PER CAMERA MODEL

*2023-11-10, version 4.7*

Got this, then realized you have to re-purchase the app for every camera model you have. I have 3 different cameras I use to shoot RAW, which means converting to my RAW just tripled in price.

This pricing structure is not mentioned anywhere on the site, feels dishonest.

No thank you requesting a refund.

### 1/5 — Very buggy - keep getting same error code - Please Help

*2023-11-07, version 4.7*

PLEASE HELP - for some of the larger raw files i am trying to convert I am getting this error code "Connot open output file". How can I solve this? The app is currenly unusable due to this error!

### 1/5 — seems worthless

*2023-05-26, version 4.2*

Have ProRes Raw from a Leica SL2-S and it doesnt work at all.

### 1/5 — Works but

*2023-02-25, version 3.8*

I've had the app for a few months now and although it works I'm concerned about the permissions it seems to take hold of during and after processing a pro res raw file to CDNG. After processing the files I seem to lose permission to delete the files from my external hard drives. The first time this happened I attempted to format the drive on both my Mac & PC but both didn't have permissions to format the drive so I was forced to purchase a new ED. Somehow during converting the software gains permission of the drive and in a way holds in hostage. I'd love to know why this is or if I can do something to change that.

### 1/5 — Useless with Lumix S1H

*2022-12-04, version 3.0*

I want to grade Prores Raw videos in Davinci, but this app doesn;t support the Lumix S1H camera that I use

### 1/5 — Doesn't support S1H

*2022-09-08, version 2.9*

Not sure why the S1H isn't supported on this app..it was one of the first mirrorless cameras to have ProRes Raw.

### 2/5 — GH7 Prores Raw Issue

*2024-10-01, version 5.0.16*

After purchasing this app I'm getting a prompt to pay $79.99 for a GH7 licence to convert Prores Raw ro CDNG and after contacting support this was the reponse Hello,
RawConvertor is independent software and you pay a license to use the software that converts Prores RAW to cDNG.

Best,
Nikolaj
That was not my issue and my other emails were not answers or just being ignored.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fantastic app with great updates

*2025-04-19, version 5.2.2*

Been using this program since 2023 and love the updates and how quickly the devs take feedback.

One feature I'd LOVE to have would be the ability to "trim" a clip with in and out points, giving us the ability for even smaller file sizes should we need it on those constant roll takes waiting for the shot to happen.

### 5/5 — So far...a great product!

*2024-11-27, version 5.0.18*

I have not completed a full workflow with it yet in davinchi but the program itself is fast and very easy to use. The quality seems to be superb.

### 5/5 — Excellent apart from...

*2024-01-27, version 4.8*

I love this app but I would like to see a drag and drop files feature, since I think all programs are now heading in this direction and it speeds up the workflow a little. Not a huge change but would help!

### 5/5 — Sony FX9 Support??

*2023-12-20, version 4.7*

Can we add support for the Sony FX9?

### 5/5 — Awesome app for editing Pro Res Raw in Resolve

*2023-06-05, version 4.2*

Can't say enough about how easy this is to convert Pro Res Raw into a format that Davinci Resolve can use. A perfect bridge until some native support is offered (if ever)

### 5/5 — Good, but expensive

*2023-04-09, version 3.9*

It just works, but a cheaper price would be appreciated, and a metadata that reflects the original camera also.

### 5/5 — Life changing app

*2023-03-02, version 3.8*

thanks for making all of my favorite pieces of gear talk to each other properly. Its not an exageration to say that it is life changing. perfection.

### 5/5 — Great start, but needs improvement

*2022-10-26, version 2.9*

The compression setting are all too low until you get to 3:1, which ends up being 10% larger files than the original, but still with percievable loss. Lossless is the next step, but is 3x the size of the original.

Aprart from that there is no accounting for the color space of the original camera color/gamma. So once converted, it ends up far from Slog or C-Log, etc and the LUTs that you may like to use for those color spaces no longer function as intended, making matching other cameras far more difficult.

That said, this app has promise to bring much-needed Resolve compatibility to ProresRAW, so I'd love to see support for color space conversion/retention and better compression performance.

### 5/5 — Panasonic!!!

*2022-08-04, version 2.8*

Any specific reason why youre ignoring panasonic cameras? A massive user base for the Ninja V withthe S5

### 5/5 — Panasonic S1,S5,SH1 Support Please

*2022-07-30, version 2.7*

Now i'm able to color grade my prores raw footages in Davinci Resolve!
