### 4/5 — Workout plan progress reset

*2026-08-10*

Today I was starting the third week of my workout plan and I noticed my progress reset back to week one with the beginner exercises. I’m frustrated because there’s no way I can manually change this or forward my progress to week three in the app or by speaking to the AI. I noticed in my workout history it does still have all of my previous exercises from the past two weeks logged, but it refuses to reset and start at week three. Other than that experience, I’ve had a great time so far with this app. I love the features in the video guides and the AI integration. It’s been a smooth process other than this one glitch so far.

**Developer response:** Hi Andyroo,

First, we're so glad that you're loving Ray! We are fixing this programming glitch right now! If you'll email us at hello@rayfit.com, we will get your account back on track. We want to keep you motivated and moving!

### 5/5 — My AI Ray

*2026-05-31, version 1.1.15*

This AI trainer keeps me motivated and reminds me to keep it up! He takes u to consideration your injuries and needs for certain muscles. He helps set and keep my goals! Good way to train with help for a reasonable price!

### 5/5 — Great stretching

*2026-05-29, version 1.1.15*

Great stretch workout

### 5/5 — Worth a review

*2026-05-21*

I just discovered this app and I’m honestly shocked more people aren’t talking about it yet. It’s super budget-friendly and has been absolutely amazing so far. I’m not sure if it’s newer and that’s why there aren’t many reviews yet, but I’m genuinely excited to share it with people. There’s no referral bonus or anything — I just truly think it’s that valuable and worth checking out.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind words! We're glad you're loving it!

### 5/5 — Love this!

*2026-05-19, version 1.1.13*

Just wish it knew all the equipment in the gym but otherwise met all my needs - talks, adapts, variety - all the things I wanted!
Highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Great Exercises

*2026-05-13, version 1.1.13*

I’m just getting back to working out. Exercises have been manageable and a great start to working out. Gives me a place to start a regular routine. Love this app

### 5/5 — Obsessed

*2026-05-09, version 1.1.11*

Ray is fantastic. Especially for working moms trying to squeeze in a workout in the few spare minutes you have. Can’t wait to keep going.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-04-27, version 1.1.7*

I love Ray so far! The workouts are customizable depending on what I can do for that day. I have the monthly subscription before shoulder surgery next month and will definitely get Ray back when I’m done with rehab.

### 4/5 — Almost there

*2026-04-24*

I came from Fitbod and Fitify, both really solid apps, and I was hoping Ray would be the perfect mix of the two with smarter AI that could work around my shoulder and other small injuries. There are definitely things I like — the workouts feel fresh and the AI chat is super convenient. However, I’ve run into some frustrating issues. When I ask the AI to use heavier weights or skip an exercise because I just did the same one yesterday, it says it’s making the change but the workout stays exactly the same. Also, the app claims to support kettlebells, rowing, and assault bike, but I’ve yet to see those options actually appear in my plans even though I selected them. The foundation is good, so I hope the team fixes the bugs and equipment integration soon.

**Developer response:** Scottie, thank you so much for kind words and encouragement. We're working on improving these features right now! Would you be interested in chatting with us? We'd love to learn how we can make Ray better for you.

If you're game, just email us at ray@rayfit.com.

Thanks in advance!

Loving the guidance, the push, and the drive to the finish line achieving another goal.

### 5/5 — Well Balanced

*2026-03-20, version 1.1.1*

This personalized, practical, guided approach is fantastic! It’s got me feeling great. Step by step, with modifications as needed! Thanks RAY!

### 5/5 — Ray

*2026-03-19, version 1.1.1*

Great works for older people like myself

### 5/5 — Just the app I needed!

*2026-03-16, version 1.1.1*

Ray keeps me motivated and is customizable to the exercises I want to do. I’m sticking with an exercise program for the first time! I love that it times the exercises and logs them. I will be able to see my progress.

### 5/5 — Great workout

*2026-03-15*

Great app! I can set it to work at the gym or at home. You can modify as you’re working if the exercise is too tough for you. You can tell it what equipment you have at home and at the gym so it sets up the exercises accordingly. If no equipment at home, there is body strength exercises. You can have your music on too.

**Developer response:** Thank you! We love that you're loving Ray! (We're working to make it better every day!)

### 5/5 — Anis

*2026-03-13, version 1.1.1*

Easy app to comunicate your need and get prompt feedback

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Track Reps

*2026-07-16, version 1.1.24*

I was looking for a replacement to Jrny and found this app. After I signed up, which requires you give them your phone number, I started my trial and began a workout. Nothing in this app works as advertised. Newest app version 1.1.24and IOS version 26.5.2. No rep tracking as advertised. Turned on the camera and was never shown anything, no permissions in app settings to even allow the camera to turn on. False advertising

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t work

*2026-07-12, version 1.1.23*

During the signup it kept crashing.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-06-04, version 1.1.17*

Terrible waste of money. Told multiple times to avoid specific exercise due to injury. I would expect ai to suggest exercises to help recovery. Not only did it take not go that far it repeatedly included exercise in my workout. Trying to swap exercises during workout it would have me repeat exercises if just done.

### 1/5 — 1 minute in and I’m stuck

*2026-03-08, version 1.1.0*

I was going through the setup and getting pretty excited for this app when a “hmm something went wrong can we try that again” window popped up. I said yes and immediately the error messaged closed and reopened. I am stuck in a never ending loop. I restarted the app and I am back in the loop. My guess is my account is hosed.

### 1/5 — Not for you if you have mobility restrictions

*2026-01-16, version 1.0.41*

Went through all the prompts and described my injury, as I wanted to give Ray a try while I cannot go to the gym due to ankle in the cast. Wanted to get a workout for the rest of the body to maintain shape. After all the prompts Ray started my work out with jumping jacks. Not one suggested exercise was keeping my restriction in mind

### 2/5 — Got me working out again, but I can’t see continued used

*2026-06-12, version 1.1.18*

Easy to set up and start. For some reason, I keep going back to this app so it’s got me working out again, and for that I am eternally grateful. However, after my 3-month I don’t see paying again unless there are several big changes.
There are not enough exercises. It is the same ones (that I don’t like) over and over. I get bored easily, but also have several physical limitations and no matter how often I try to update my preferences, it will still show me several exercises I have repeatedly said I cannot do. Lunges for example- but then to swap out lunges it will just show 10 other versions of lunges. Overhead exercises-again to swap out it will only offer 10 more overhead press exercises.
It even continues to show exercises I do not have equipment for-I do not have a box why all the step ups?!
The focus for Upper and Lower body is on the same areas-like several shoulder exercises instead of including compound exercises and then targeted exercises for bicep, tricep, delts etc. At this rate I’m just going to end up with really big shoulders & straining my neck.

Would be better if there was an option to select our own exercises, or favorites, from a list & would save more time. Before I start to work out, it takes me at least 10 minutes to review.
Trainers: During the workout, the trainers or AI robots? will not be doing the same reps as you. If I have 10 reps sometimes they are doing upwards of 15-so you have to count yourself, defeats the purpose of having a body double.
They are also expressionless and will provide no energy, watching them almost sucks the energy out of the room.
Overall, this AI is just not capable of replacing or keeping up with the nuances of its human users.

### 2/5 — Great app but No mention of payment until the second week. Only one week free!

*2026-01-19, version 1.0.41*

Need to Mention payments upfront!

### 2/5 — Primarily Gym

*2025-11-24, version 1.0.31*

This probably has potential, but it’s not much different than apps already out there like Caliber or JEFIT.
Since it claims AI intelligence, I was expecting a comprehensive and intelligent workout design. I told it my injuries and those didn’t get factored into its workout plan. I also shared what I like to do to stay active (golf, running, etc) and none of the workouts incorporated these interests into my plan.

### 3/5 — Good start needs work

*2025-11-18, version 1.0.30*

This has such potential. However when you give feedback it is forgotten. When it has you login again the program forgets most of the feedback you have given it. Way too many rest periods also

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2025-10-01*

I like the concept of this but definitely needs improvements like being able to adjust workout time while in the workout. The time in between workouts needs a little more attention as I thought it was too fast. It also doesn’t let you know if you are finished with the next set or when you start the next set after the time is up. Definitely had a hard time with that and had to start over several times before I could get back into the routine. And I prefer another app where I have easier time navigating and adjusting.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to share this feedback. We really appreciate it — you’ve highlighted a few areas we’re already working on, including adjustable workout times and better pacing between sets. Updates in this area are coming soon, and we hope you’ll give Ray another try once they’re live.

### 5/5 — Ray Gets It

*2026-08-19*

I’ve worked out with online coaches before, but the timing wasn’t always right, the apps were hard to navigate or it was just too advanced. As a 56 year old recovering from knee replacement surgery, but cleared for exercises, I was looking for something to help with core, balance and strength and, so far, Ray is working out great.

### 5/5 — Useful and Unique!

*2026-08-10*

I’ve been using Ray for a few weeks now, and I love it! The AI personal trainer is smart and easy to communicate with, and I love the personalized experience. Another big thing I love about the app is the social feature! I would highly recommend Ray, it’s more than just an app, it’s a lifestyle that’s tailored just for me! Ray feels like a friend that helps me become the best version of myself that I can be, set at my own pace. I’m really glad I found this app!

**Developer response:** Juls, you are the best! We love to hear you're enjoying the social features and the workouts! Let's stay healthy together!

### 5/5 — Home workouts solved

*2026-07-21*

This is the 3rd app I've tried to get a solid workout from home. It is by far the best. You can give feedback after every session and it adapts based on your feedback. You can change duration. I am struggling with knee issues- it creates great workouts that are knee friendly. When I had small glitches early on they were fixed fast. The videos show you clearly what the exercise looks like and there are verbal prompts that remind you of good form and breathing. This app is exactly what I was looking for. It has leveled up my home workouts.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-07-21*

This app is really nice because I am able to say specifics to it that make it accessible and easy to . Not just typical things like how much time I have and what equipment, but you talk to it like you would ChatGPT. So you can say things like “I’m struggling with burnout right now at work so I don’t wanna overdo it with my workouts this month.” Or ”It’s 9PM and I don’t really want to do too much right now because I go to bed in less than two hours.” I am really enjoying it.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2026-07-20*

I’ve been using AI for a while now, and by far Ray has been the most beneficial use of AI I’ve seen/used. I feel healthier and more motivated to do my workouts since I’ve been using it. I love how it’s personalised to what I WANT. I also love how it sends me cute text messages lol it’s a gentle reminder without being in my face about working out, which can sometimes be hard to get myself to do. Overall, love it, use it

### 5/5 — Can’t beat it for the value

*2026-07-19*

I used a more premium (and very expensive) app called Future for roughly four years and just switched to Ray. Big fan so far, has all the basic functionality you would expect and they are working on adding more and better features. The price is truly amazing - if you have a home gym (or at least weights, bands, etc) and the discipline, Ray is a fantastic solution.

### 5/5 — Happy

*2026-06-30, version 1.1.21*

I have done 103 workouts, been very happy and productive

### 5/5 — Got me Moving

*2026-06-27, version 1.1.21*

Really enjoying this app, got me Moving and feeling good. Exactly what I needed.

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2026-06-12*

I’ve always wanted to tone up/ weight train, but I never quite knew where to start. When I stumbled across this app and saw that there’s demonstrations and walk throughs on how to do each exercise, a plan is created for you depending on fitness level, you get feed back via the app or text. After the free trial I’m going to continue since it’s quite affordable. Please don’t stop updating the routines. I wanna be a toned beyotch!

### 5/5 — Active Senior

*2026-06-09, version 1.1.17*

Great for 55+ that is recovering from multiple surgeries and keeps very active!
