### 3/5 — I want it to be good

*2026-08-07*

I cannot get my iOS Raycast to sync with macOS or Windows V2. It says it should work now, but I’ve also learned it sinks through a legacy system v1 . In some ways, Raycast is everything. Mac and iOS is missing in other ways. It’s been Sherlock. And though I think the potential is insanely grand. Right now it’s just not there. Maybe if you went back to the original version of Raycast it would work fine. But it’s hard to go back because v2 has so much potential. But it’s really hard to justify a subscription when it’s not syncing across devices for me. And though the free version is awesome I feel like most of it can be done with spotlight and Shortcuts at this point. I really hope they get it together soon.. it’s just a bit of a buggy mess right now, which is understandable given all their recent advancements, but I may be gone by the time they’re done fixing it all.

### 3/5 — Missing clipboard feature

*2026-07-17*

Great part of desktop app not available

### 3/5 — Untapped Potential

*2026-06-25*

I would really like to love this app since it has so much potential. So far it is very much limited to Snippets, quick links and and too much AI. Some updates to the Keyboard could make this really useful. Simple thinks like an Emoji picker, clipboard history the ability to togle the Raycast calculator from within the keyboard. Very much hope these updates will come eventually

### 2/5 — Meh

*2026-06-03*

What use ? Just expensive AI tokens, nothing like its « Mac »brother..

### 4/5 — The right idea

*2026-05-28*

fantastic app on both Mac and iPhone. I do wish they'd cleaned up rough edges like the AI (paid) failing all the time and the quick ai not following instructions or using web search automatically. otherwise, and perhaps even more so, a great Search replacement and central command hub for Mac. I see the iPhone app taking shape and love the keyboard

### 2/5 — Buggy and sloppy

*2026-03-01, version 1.2.6*

Great Mac app, super rough and buggy iOS app.

### 3/5 — Nothing likeit

*2026-02-28*

And that’s a crutch. I love the MacOS version, tho its 100% a beta version app. Does a lot of stuff Spotlight doesn’t, but does almost nothing perfectly. I really, really want to love this app, it’s super ambitious but it’s soooo needed. Fills a void in MacOS/iOS left by unfulfilled Siri expectations. It’s just… where tf did the team go? It’s like development was halted a few months ago, right as it should have been ramping up. now the app feels janky and old and derelict. Man…

### 4/5 — App is crashing

*2026-02-12*

App is crashing not able to open after download the app does not open and crashes please fix this issue

### 2/5 — This app has been barely usable for too long now

*2026-01-21, version 1.2.4*

There’s so many bugs and the tools are useless

### 3/5 — Keyboard

*2026-01-14*

Please create a full keyboard with AI options.

### 3/5 — Bugs in Issue Editing.

*2026-01-10*

Big fan of the MacOS version. Yet, on first attempt: unable to edit issues at all — stuck on first word, inability to scroll, frustrating experience.

### 4/5 — Cool app!

*2025-12-23*

I love the keyboard and while using grammarly, I feel like raycast keyboard is way better but it doesnt include a whole keyboard, it only has ai tools like grammar check and others. I feel like adding the whole keyboard would be better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Sem clipboard?

*2026-07-20*

Não tem a função que mais utilizo e que mais tinha interesse no mobile, o Clipboard.

### 1/5 — Dictation broken

*2026-07-03*

Each time I click the dictate button from the custom keyboard, it keeps sending me back to the actual application instead of leaving me in the keyboard.

Also, it doesn't handle the music properly. The music stops and doesn't restart automatically when I stop dictating.

### 1/5 — No locally hosted AI options as of April 2026

*2026-04-13, version 1.2.10*

I’m an avid user of the MacOS Raycast app and had high hopes for the iOS app. I self-host my own LLMs and am able to access them through the MacOS Raycast app, but there’s no such option in iOS. This makes the iOS app basically useless for me which is a huge bummer.

If Raycast ever implements Ollama support in their iOS app, I’ll come back and revise this review.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2026-03-29, version 1.2.9*

Always getting the error ‘cannot open the link’ when I try to login with any of the methods.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2026-03-25, version 1.2.9*

Chats are garbled and unreadable on iOS 18.

### 1/5 — pcと同期するとチャット履歴が消える

*2026-03-03*

全部消えました。useless

### 1/5 — Raycast iOS Crashes Immediately on Launch – iOS 18.0.1

*2026-01-31, version 1.2.5*

Raycast opens and instantly crashes back to home screen on iOS 18.0.1. Tried force restart, delete & reinstall, but still happens. App was working fine before. Please fix ASAP – love Raycast on Mac, really want the iOS version too!

iphone16 pm, 18.01

### 1/5 — This isn’t the Raycast you know

*2026-01-29*

This should be a differently named app because calling it Raycast is extremely deceiving for users of Raycast on Mac. This app is basically worthless if you are on the free plan and don’t want or use the AI junk. Mac version AI can be completely dialed, this is just all AI besides Quick Links, Raycast Notes, and Snippets — which won’t sync on the free plan.

There’s no extensions. It’s just a glorified AI front end deceptively named like the Mac app. I’m sure it has usefulness if you have a paid subscription.

### 1/5 — Glitchy features

*2025-12-22*

I tried to create some commands that would replace iOS shortcuts for drafting emails and voice to text Ai summaries but none actually worked as intended. Will continue to use shortcuts and Wispr flow and uninstall. Too bad I was really excited about Raycast for iOS but maybe they launched prematurely? Needs more beta testing.

### 1/5 — Terrible experience

*2025-12-20, version 1.2.2*

The keyboard functions are completely unusable. always tips "To access the keyboard, please open the main app to ensure your data is properly synced."

### 5/5 — Raycast vs Alfred

*2026-07-08*

i’ve been using ALFRED for 10 years or so and it’s pretty awesome and it’s doing more and more for me every day.

But the new truth is Raycast does so many things that my ALFRED cannot do and much of it is available on the iOS devices, which is absolutely a game changer thank you so much!

### 5/5 — The Swiss Army knife for the MCPH and for ADHD people like me

*2026-06-30*

Raycast, at first glance, may seem like a tech enthusiast's tinkerer's box. But underneath, if you really dig deep, you'll find that you have a Swiss Army knife to make something that will make your life a lot easier on what is arguably the most important computing device that you can own: your phone.

Particular attention to MCP, voice dictation, and the availability of all AI LLMs, or at least most of them, at your fingertips, both on the lock screen, the home screen, the widget screen, and on the keyboard in virtually any application.

By connecting your finances, your marketing, your sales CRM, your personal to‑do list, or any other application that might have an MCP server connection available, you can truly, from one hand on your phone from anywhere in the world, quickly summarize, get updates, and even create a new contact from the Raycast app easily, and at the same time synchronize with your iPad and your MacBook. I'm not aware of any other application that can do that right now. So kudos to the Raycast team. Worth every penny.

### 5/5 — German support

*2026-06-20*

Nice app.. plz add german

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-30*

Thank you for this app, it is lovely

### 5/5 — Works great

*2026-04-20, version 1.2.10*

Ai needs improvement I just wish I could access this system wide like on macOS.

Nevertheless great app
10/10 highly recommended

### 5/5 — Pro + Advanced AI totally worth it

*2026-03-08*

I love the fact that I can have access to the latest models literally the day they become available. No need to have separate subscriptions to the top AI vendors.

Also, being able to start an AI chat on iOS, and then pick it up on macOS (and vice versa) is awesome.

In addition, the keyboard and iOS Shortcuts are a very powerful set of tools.

### 5/5 — A great companion or standalone toolbox of utilities

*2026-01-03*

For what it is, being able to access my Quicklinks and Snippets alone has been very useful in conducting business on my phone. And although AI chat is just the cherry on top, I’ve ubiquitously used this as my daily entry point for quick information lookup and brainstorming sessions. The versatility here is great, and I see the potential even as a standalone toolbox.

### 5/5 — Awesome Updates

*2025-12-23*

Please make a real keyboard with all those great features. 👍👍

### 5/5 — Absolut perfekt

*2025-12-22*

Ich habe vor kurzem Raycast installiert und bin schockiert, wie nützlich es ist. In wenigen Sekunden erhält man sinnvolle Infos von der KI, und es hilft mir dabei, E-Mails zu schreiben. Ein Must-Have für mich!

### 5/5 — iOS Productivity Enhancer

*2025-11-03, version 1.1.1*

Thanks for bringing Raycast to iOS. The app works well and I like the keyboard integration. Would love to see clipboard history sync and am willing to pay for that feature.
