When it does connect it is good for replicating and connecting the screen. But to get it to work I even have to uninstall and reinstall the app. ### 2/5 — Promises a lot *2026-06-20* Doesn’t deliver the same high end results as their plotters and other devices. Buggy and fails to connect to the Axiom Pro 2 device reliably which is a big let down as I’ve spent 10k in the last few weeks on a Raymarine system. Needs more validation work to be completed. Connectivity is decidedly flakey and have had to uninstall and reinstall to get anywhere. Und es bleibt viel hinsichtlich der Nutzerfreundlichkeit zu tun. Z. B. Die Auflösung zu verbessern, die Herstellung der Verbindung zu vereinfachen…. Tatsächlich war hier meine Erwartung an ein von Raymarine angebotenes System deutlich höher. Damit, dass ein zweites WLan eröffnet wird und das Mobilgerät dann keinen Internetzugang mehr hat, muss man wohl leben, mit der schlechten Bildqualität aber eher nicht. ### 1/5 — Inutilisable *2025-09-26* Application d’une lenteur épouvantable, qui propose une expérience désastreuse entre 2 coupures, bref, c’est inutile dangereux sur un bateau. Raymarine, quand allez-vous corriger cela ? ### 1/5 — Poor connectivity and resolution *2025-07-23* I recently used this app on a passage from Florida to Annapolis on a 44 foot catamaran and encountered two major flaws. First, the connectivity failed about every 15 minutes or so even when my iPad was a mere 10-15 feet away from my Axiom mfd. Second, the resolution was awful - I am not sure if that is an iPad issue but I doubt it. I could deal with the lag but these first two issues really need to be addressed to make the app usable. I appreciate Raymarine may not want the app to eat into their mfd business, nonetheless then they should pretend this app is usable. The remote viewing of the Axiom: they have an app called “Raymarine”, that replaced the previous 3 apps. Fine. In the middle of the ocean with no access to the internet = won’t work.. Someone tell me: how utterly idiotic is this process ? Why does the app need internet to connect to the servers of FLIR, to then disconnect and connect locally to the axiom? Who is the software engineer who thought this was a good idea ? ### 1/5 — Do Better *2025-04-22, version 2.3.4* There are so many bugs with this app and I really just want this to work. First, I have never been able to set this up as an owner and can only log in as a guest. The owner login fails every time. Next I get a non stop pop up Raymarine wants to use b2clogin.com. This pop up NEVER goes away and I cannot communicate how frustrating this is. Raymarine, you are a huge company, hire a decent developer and for the love of god fix this app!!!!!! ### 2/5 — Needs full Rayco system *2025-04-17* Not useful if using a PC with autopilot but without a Rayco chart plotter I can’t comment for those with full Raymarine systems ### 1/5 — App *2025-03-09* Ja leider gibt sich Raymarine keine Mühe und funktionieren tut es auch nicht immer. ### 1/5 — Initial Impression is poor … simple screen rotation not working *2025-02-22* Is it an IPhone app or an iPad app … If its iPad it MUST work in landscape as well as portrait mode. The fact it doesn’t is serious limits the use of multiple accessories … and pangs of being cheap / lazy. ### 2/5 — Fiabilité désastreuse *2024-12-11* Quand ça marche, l’application est super et permet effectivement de contrôler son traceur via un iPad. Mais la fiabilité est désastreuse : plantages réguliers et aléatoires (peut très bien fonctionner pendant plusieurs heures puis planter 5 fois en 10 minutes), difficulté de connexion avec le wifi du traceur. Bref pour une application nautique, ce n’est vraiment pas acceptable ### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect with Element 😕 *2024-10-03, version 2.2.1* I purchased a brand new Element 9 two months ago and the Raymarine App does not sync with the unit. We duplicated the issue at the showroom with the Engineer who then enquired and told me it requires an App update. Two months later no update and still no connect - so I can’t do trip planning. I have three Axiom Pro 19’s on order for my new boat and a six figure electronics package. I hope Raymarine sort this out as it’s making me nervous regarding support. From New Zealand ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2024-09-18* Sadly after spending a small fortune on new Axiom mfd, I have learned how poorly this app functions on an iPad. Poor Wi-Fi connection from 4 feet away so low resolution display image of the plotter. Also the app does not allow rotation to facilitate inverted tablet use - it rotates the image in one direction only, so I am unable to fit my iPad in its waterproof case in the helm mount I have always used which only fits if the tablet is upside down. Raymarine devs please adhere to iOS application best practises and allow for rotation of the screen. I appreciate it does not work with the tablet in the vertical orientation, but should be allows to work in either of the horizontal rotations. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Won’t stay open *2026-07-11* The app opens for about 1 second then closes itself. Why is the so hard to write an app that has minimal functionality? iPhone 17 pro ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-06-19* I used the old Raymarine app with my old chart plotter. It worked fine. The new app, linked to my Axiom 2pro, is utterly useless. I can connect once only, after which the app is unable to connect to the chart plotter, and gives an error message every time. The only way to recount is to delete the app, then reload it - every single time. Why can’t Raymarine make something that actually works? ### 1/5 — Login *2026-04-25* Version 2.3.7 cannot login server issues. Why do I need to login to the world to talk to the instruments on the boat? Marketing over execution. Then it wouldn’t take the saved WiFi password. Reentered PW and it says it’s connected, but it won’t do anything. It worse than a beta. It shouldn’t even be released to the public. Ich sehe noch viel Potenzial: Mit einem Axiom-Plotter im WLAN des Hafens gäbe es viele spannende Funktionen, die die App richtig nützlich machen könnten. It remembers my Axiom wifi password so I don’t have to enter it every time I need to use it when I go boating and fishing. Just connect to Axiom by opening my iPhone setting and look for my Axiom wifi, then I open my Raymarine app from my iPhone. I can then control, view and screen record my Axiom MFD. I can also upload the screenshots pictures to give feedback too or ask Raymarine questions. ### 5/5 — Fixed *2022-09-24* Whatever was wrong must have been fixed in the latest version. Easy to install and it works. My iPad is now a working mirror of the Axiom. I can control the axiom from the iPad or the other way around. **Developer response:** thank you for the review and glad you are enjoying the app! ### 5/5 — Super, marche bien (Axiom7+) *2022-09-05* Ca marche tres bien avec mon Axiom 7+, il faut juste mettre à jour l’Axiom (upgrade logiciel) pour que ce soit opérationnel ! On peut voir l’ecran de l’Axiom sur son Iphone et aussi le controller, donc tres bon outil pour prendre la main sur sa carte/traceur/sondeur/infos moteur/dérapage d’ancre …depuis la cabine ou meme son lit 😉 et sans coût supplémentaire. This app is a good first release, it is usable, fast, accurate, responds well to touch screen input. We use it to control our plotter (which is in the cockpit) from an iPad at the Navionics station. It needs a (hopefully) quick follow up to sort out some obvious problems: * It crashes quite a lot, not for any particular reason. Restart and it’s all ok. Until the next crash. * Pinch to zoom doesn’t work (not a big deal) * That’s about it Thanks Raymarine.
