## What is Rayon?

Rayon is a RAW-first film camera for iPhone.

For photographers who love the colour-first experience of dedicated cameras and classic film simulations, Rayon brings that feeling to the camera already in your pocket. This is not a filter painted over a finished JPEG. Rayon captures sensor data and develops the look inside the photograph.

THE LOOK IS READY WHEN YOU SHOOT

Choose from 22 authored film presets—including Analog Summer, House Negative, Riviera 100, Vantage 250 and Amber 400. See the look in the live viewfinder, press the shutter and receive a finished photograph in your camera roll. No editing round trip.

COMPUTATIONAL BAYER RAW

On supported rear cameras, Rayon captures matched Bayer RAW frames, applies per-lens calibration, aligns them and merges them in scene-linear colour. Averaging cleans shadow noise while deliberate exposure protects bright skies and highlight texture. Even at low ISO, Rayon can use a real stack when lifted shadows need more clean data.

MOTION-AWARE CAPTURE

A long stack is not always the right answer. If the scene moves too much for clean registration, Rayon chooses a quality-first ProRAW or single-frame path instead of forcing a smeared merge.

FILM CHARACTER, NOT A FILTER

Every preset is a complete development recipe: tone curve, colour separation, grain, bloom, diffusion and vignette. The result is shaped during RAW development—not pasted on at the end. Grain sits in the image, highlights roll instead of clipping and skin keeps its colour.

MAKE EVERY PRESET YOUR OWN

Adjust intensity in the Looks browser. Duplicate any look and use Preset Studio to tune light, curves, colour mix and texture without losing the original.

A VIEWFINDER THAT TELLS THE TRUTH

Tap anywhere to meter and watch the preview respond before you shoot. Exposure compensation stays where you put it. The finished capture is designed to match what you saw.

ANALOG SUMMER

A new look inspired by sun-bleached colour negative: warm masonry, foliage pulled toward teal and a black point that never quite reaches black.

COMPUTATIONAL RAW, REFINED

Steady scenes can now keep a real matched Bayer RAW stack, including low-ISO and split-light photographs whose lifted shadows need more data. Frame selection, alignment and rejection are tuned to preserve detail. When movement makes a clean merge unsuitable, Rayon favours a sharp motion-safe frame.

FILM BLOOM

Light now spreads out of bright areas instead of outlining them. Five steps, from a whisper to an unmistakable glow.

GRAIN AND VIGNETTE

Both are now applied throughout the finished photograph, giving every preset the texture it was authored to have.

A VIEWFINDER THAT TELLS THE TRUTH

Tap anywhere and the preview re-meters for that spot — and the capture matches what you saw. Exposure compensation now stays where you set it instead of resetting when you tap.

FASTER, SHARPER CAPTURE

The shutter responds immediately. Lens selection and digital zoom preserve the best available source quality.

Rayon 1.1 introduces new film presets and a refreshed preset discovery experience. Manual ISO and shutter controls are easier to use, Preset Studio has been refined, and cloud-powered entitlement and preset notifications keep your experience up to date.
