Raysid is the iOS companion app for the RAYSID CsI(Tl) gamma spectrometer.

Connect to your RAYSID over Bluetooth and see radiation in real time:

Version 1.1 - User Calibration & Improved Isotope ID

• Energy calibration: anchor the keV scale to known peaks from a calibration source for accurate isotope identification. Cubic-spline interpolation across 1–4 calibration points; per-device and per-range storage so each RAYSID and energy range remembers its own calibration.

• Pick calibration anchors directly from detected peaks in your live spectrum, choose from a library of common gamma lines (Cs-137, K-40, U-238 chain, Th-232 chain, Co-60, Eu-152, Am-241, more), or enter values manually.

• Isotope Detail Sheet: tap any isotope match to see its library reference spectrum overlaid on yours, a peak-by-peak comparison table, half-life and decay-mode metadata, and the detected peak list.

• Isotope ID accuracy: matcher now intensity-weights peak comparisons and penalizes missing high-confidence library lines. Fixes false-positive matches where peaks aligned numerically but the source was different.

• Cleaner peak detection: Poisson statistical filtering removes false "peaks" in the noise floor at high energies.

• UI polish: denser keV-axis ticks on the spectrum chart, calibration point editor with monotonicity warnings, immediate post-Apply feedback.
