And I’m glad that I can relive those memories again — right in the palm of my hand. One thing, though: I would like to see an update for the screen to be expanded to fit the 4-inch display of the iPod Touch 5th generation and later iPhones. I believe that would create an even more immersive experience for owners of these devices. Also, I hope an iOS port of RayCrisis is in the works. I will get it for sure :) Keep the awesome games coming! ### 5/5 — Sooo Many Memories... *2014-01-30* Excellent port of one of the all-time greats. The game's art and audio direction have held up great even after all these years! Only complaint is that I really wish Taito would get around to doing true iPad ports of these classics (en lieu of purely "iPhone" versions). ### 5/5 — Amazing except... *2014-01-21* This game is amazing. Played since h was 6 years old. Always played it on hard mode. The game comes with 2 modes thank god. The original version is the exact same which is amazing! I love it so much! But the new iPhone version is completely dumbed down to a point where anyone can do it. One of the things about this game I loved was being one of the only few to ever clear it, even on easy mode. But now, even people that put in no effort will clear it. It's a real shame. IM DONE!!! HELP ME TAITO! FIX THIS! *2017-08-07* When I open RAYSTORM, It obviously goes through the Taito™ Logo and then goes to the Touch to Start screen aka the Start Screen. So I tap to start the game. And it won't work. The words "Touch To Start" just stay there and then fade out and come back and fade out again. You know what I mean but. Anyways, I just stay there tapping my screen so hard that I'm sure that I was on the brink of breaking the iPad Screen. So I played RayForce... Which is not included in this review because this is my review about RAYSTORM, So RAYSTORM wouldn't startup. So I just want Taito™ to fix this. They either fix this with an update or they give a refund. ### 2/5 — Nostalgia goes a long way... *2013-12-21* I have to say this game is great. It's basically the same as the home version for playstation, only Nue Tanz mix is called iphone mode. The music is still as weird and interesting as I remeber it. So why the two star rating? This game is $9. This game is not optimized for iphone 5, updated for ios 7 and doesn't have controller support. Considering this is likely a remake of a port of a game with an HD version on consoles, originally released almost 20 years ago, makes the lack of support frustrating. If it were updated optimized, it'd be 5 stars easy. ### 3/5 — Raystorm *2012-06-24* I love schumps but this one is not worth the price.Cave makes the best,i hate to say u should this but, play a Cave game then try this one.You will notice which is better!I give Taito props for some originality,but please take the time out to UPDATE THIS GAME! ### 3/5 — No iPad support *2012-06-24* Bought this to play on my iPad unfortunately no full screen support and limited options, very expensive for the age of the title there better and cheaper titles available, update for IPad required. Can't recommend unfortunately. ### 3/5 — HD버전이 아니네요 *2012-06-22* 아이폰으로 봐도 그래픽 구리네요. 엑박으로 HD버전 나온 걸로 아는데, 그 그래픽을 안 쓰게 이해불가 케이브 HD버전은 다 엑박 재활용 한 거 같던데 일단 전작인 레이포스처럼 화면 사이즈 조절 없어요. 아마 레이포스가 화면 조절을 했더니 탄이 안 보이는 등 실제로 게임플레이 불가능하니 아예 삭제조치 한 듯 싶네요 아이폰 모드와 아케이드 모드의 차이점은 적기 움직임의 속도 빼곤 모르겠군요. 참고로 아이폰 모드의 적들이 움직임이 더 빠릅니다. 더불어 원작이 PS나 SS의 가정용 콘솔로 나와서 게임화면이 세로가 아니라 가로입니다. (물론 오락실에도 나왔지만) 기본적으로 그래픽 때문에 그닥 할만이 안 나네요. HD는 따로 팔아먹을려나? HD가 아니라면 차라리 G-Darius를 이식해줄 것이지 지금까지 나온 타이토 게임들의 아이폰 이식수준은 별로에요 ### 4/5 — 슈팅계명작이 드디어 이식!! 그러나.. *2017-07-06* 그렇게 바라고도바란 고전슈팅게임 명작인 레이스톰이 발매되었습니다. 하지만 8.99달러만큼의 돈값을 못하는거 같아서 아쉽네요. 무엇보다도 이동관련 인터페이스가 케이브사에 비해 배려가 없었으며 게임은 딱봐도 에뮬레이터에 입력만 터치로 전환한듯한 무성의함이 너무 아쉽네요. 아이폰모드라고 따로 있는 모드가있지만 이모드는 예전 게임판으로 발매되었던 게임에도 수록되어 있던 어레인지모드이며 이미 엑스박스에 HD버전을 발매하였음에도 불구하고 비슷한 가격에 플스시절의 그래픽그대로 아이폰판만을 출시한건 확실히에러라고 생각합니다. 드디어 긴시간 끝에 HD모드가 업데이트 되었네요 그동안 모바일 슈터 게임들의 편의성이 많이 좋아졌는데 아직도 불편한점은 있지만 조작편의성과 해상도가 좋아짐으로서 많이 괜찮아졌습니다 ### 4/5 — Great, but needs extras(literally) *2016-05-30* The game is great, just like the arcade version, however, you should add the r gear, and 13 ship mode like from the PS3/Xbox releases ### 4/5 — Cool port but..... *2016-01-08* Nice port of a ps1 classic but needs the option to change the screen orientation to get the longer vertical view(portrait) like a true shmup should have. It deserves a 5 star review but this small problem keeps it from getting that perfect rating. I just don't understand why Rayforce had the good view but this one doesn't :/ still a great game though, and a steal at 3.99. This one is loads of fun! My only complaint is the price, which is not a big deal, and the lag that came up a FEW times. I bought them and find I'm forcing myself to quit playing these games. I quickly forgot about the $15 I spent for RAY STORM and RAY FORCE. Very happy and satisfied.
