It could be because of another nearly unit. However, the local WiFi link should have channel agility. My guess is it is not ready for prime yet. I much prefer using native spa on my iPhone like iNavX or a Navionics Chart pack which includes an ap. these allow me independent control of the chart. I am a professional delivery captain and use those Aps often. For example, after a long difficult stretch where I had to be awake I had one last obstacle to clear and I was beat tired. I used my iNavX ap to verify an approaching nav aid was where I expected it to be and was able to hit my bunk and periodically check our position after clearing the dangerous area without getting up. This ap is only a repeater. I like that other information can be displayed, but do not see it useful for charting. It is best suited to be a radar repeater or depth repeater. I will give it another look to see if it can be used other ways. ### 3/5 — ONLY WiFi NOT BLUETOOTH *2012-05-04* This App only works with WiFi. Not Bluetooth. Not sure why tried with multi iPhones and e7d units. Would be great / perfect if streaming was flawless. Could be amount of data. Except while your phone or ipad is connected to the e7 you are unable to connect to any data/Internet. Some control of the connected screen would take this to the next level. Loving the e7 tho :-) ### 4/5 — Next Gen chart plotter moment! *2012-02-10, version 1.0* What a surprising feature - being able to stream a Raymarine e series screen live to my phone! I wasn't expecting to see this app on the store or that feature on the new chartplotter. Works over wifi not BT, it works as a screen clone so you can check what's happening up top while you keep warm and dry down below. Works on the iPad too. Rayremote works fine. ### 1/5 — No connection with Ipad *2014-01-21, version 1.2* Could not connect using the iPad Air, said it was connected to the correct WiFi but no display. ### 1/5 — Sehr mangelhaft, wie die neuen Raymarine Plotter und Geräte *2012-10-30* Leider funktioniert weder die App richtig (verliert oft die Verbindung und lässt sich nur durch ausschalten der App und des E7 wiederherstellen) noch der Plotter. Grundsätzlich ist anzumerken, daß die Ära der gut funktionierenden Geräte bei Raymarine leider vorbei ist. Bugs soweit das Auge reicht und dazu noch ein fürchterlicher Aftersale Service. So müssen zum Beispiel Software Updates selbst durchgeführt werden. Auch wenn Plotter etc. nagelneu bereits nicht richtig funktionierte. In meinem Fall nimmt der Touch des E7 nicht immer Signale, die Tagesmeilen addieren auf sind also Gesamt meilen, Spontanresets der I7 Geräte ist leider normal, dabei verliert man natürlich alle vorher eingestellten Personalisierungen, etc. Ich rate jedem davon ab neue Raymarine Geräte oder Software zu kaufen. ### 2/5 — Can’t close the apps on IPhone IOS 26.5 *2026-06-29* The apps is the mirror of the screen and you can’t do anything other than seeing the picture of the screen. The actual problem is that you can’t close the app even after closing the screen on my iPhone. The only way I found is rebooting the IPhone.
