The scooter failed part way through the trip (with plenty of battery). Customer service on the app was a worthless BOT and I could not end my ride to stop the per-minute charges until I drug the 40 lb scooter a half mile back to the parking area. I was in a normal ride zone, plenty of battery. After requesting a refund, Razor service was rude and only offered a refund as a “one time courtesy” because of how long it took me to drag their garbage back to the parking lot. Worst experience ever. My poor kids were so excited to do this. Will never try again. But thanks for your “courtesy” I guess. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2022-07-24, version 3.4.5* Razor requires you to be 18 to ride, unlike every other EV, have a license, unlike every other EV, and won’t let you add riders for a group ride, unlike other EVs. I just spent time in Seattle and Lime and Veo were the best. This is crap. Don’t bother. Would rather ride a water fountain uphill. ### 1/5 — Won’t scan DL *2022-07-10, version 3.4.5* Would not scan FL driver license this could not rent scooter. What bull crap. Spent more time trying to rent the darn scooter than just walking. Lesson learned! ### 1/5 — Get a lime scooter *2022-07-05, version 3.4.5* First of all it asks for your drivers license then the part to scan it wouldn’t work not only that but it tracks you where you are going and will kill the scooter if you are in areas it thinks you shouldn’t be in not only that they like to kill the scooter for no reason if it feels you are going to fast. They only go like 8 miles an hour. Not a fun experience. Felt like I had to push it most the time. If you have no signal the scooter will stop working and you will be unable to take the photo required to park it. I literally parked in a “designated area” and it kept telling me i couldnt park there. Downloaded the app and put in my information, walked to the scooter and after scanning it multiple times, I wasn’t able to ride because the app crashed every time I went to pay. When I used the group ride feature, it wouldn’t show at the end of my ride all the bikes I rented so I wasn’t sure if I ended them or not. Do better ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE, DO NOT USE *2023-08-06* I did a ride share with the app and my friends scooter stopped working but when I tried to resume it on the app it says there’s an error and won’t pull up her ride. So now I cannot cancel the ride because I have to cancel hers first but hers won’t shop up in the app. What a joke. It’s Sunday so I will be calling my bank asap tomorrow and disputing the whole charge. God only knows how long I will be charged because I cannot cancel it. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE *2023-08-05* I tried to use the group ride. It allowed me to log one scooter but when I tried activating the second, it turned off both scooters but continued to run the time up. I’m currently sitting at 1 hour and 13 mins but haven’t rode the scooter at all. I tried deleting the app and starting over but the time continued to run. It won’t allow me to end the ride at all. DO NOT USE!! ### 1/5 — Never Work! *2023-07-09* Always offline or dead and can NEVER find a usable one even though theres a lot! ### 1/5 — Do not use! *2023-07-04* I was on a trip, saw these laying around and decided to try these out instead of having to walk 7 minutes. Installed the app everything was fine until I tried doing a group ride. My scooter did not work at all but the second scooter I added did, I tried scanning. My scooter again but it said it was already being used however it did not work at all. I tried contacting customer support through the app which was no help at all and it would not let ‘em end my ride. I wasted 13 minutes in a dark alley way trying to figure this out and end it so my minutes wouldn’t run up and I get charged more. If you are thinking hey this might be a cool fun thing to do, don’t do it trust me and the hundreds of negative reviews on here which I wish I would’ve read. ### 1/5 — Terrible and charged me extra *2023-05-21* I was using the scooters with my friends and it was going great until my scooter died at 20% and I had to walk all the way back. It wouldn’t let me get a new scooter but charged me three times even though I didn’t use the other two cause it wouldn’t connect. Worst app ever DO NOT USE THIS APP IT WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! AND IT TRIED TO CHARGE MY FRIEND $77 TOTAL RIP OFF AND A SCAM!!!! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-03-02* The battery dies so fast, the scooter will stop randomly if you’ve “gone too far” into a no-scooter zone as determined by Razor, and it only allows you to park it in the designated parking places. Also, the app doesn’t tell you where the parking places are. Called customer service- worthless ### 1/5 — Glad I read these *2022-10-12, version 3.5.0* If I had had these experiences (haven’t tried this yet) and won’t now. If they wouldn’t refund me. I’d put the motor on my bike toss the rest of the scooter in the lake and kindly let razor know that they have 10 business days to refund my money. Or I’m reporting them to the Bbb,police,for fraud, and putting people and the public in possibly a dangerous situation. Don’t give a rats behind about there scooter and the credit companies would only need to read here to dismiss any attempts to collect a debt. (Ps razor, lol you can pick up the gps at our local police station! Some scooters need to be serviced but not more than other companies scooters need to be serviced as well. ### 5/5 — Great time! *2022-05-14, version 3.4.5* My wife and I had a great time. Took a couple of minutes to download the app, but then we rode around the San Antonio River Walk area, Farmers Market, The Alamo, and Elsewhere. Was easy to find one and scan to get it going. The reviews weren’t so good, but I didn’t want to do a stand up scooter at night with a heavy backpack and extra bag. So I decided to try this and it was awesome! I didn’t go so fast that I was worried, but fast enough to get to where I needed to go quickly. I took three rides and they were all great! I highly recommend this, especially if you have an extra bag. It’s more stable than the smaller scooters. It’s exhilarating to fly down the street on it. I will definitely use again and highly recommend it! ### 5/5 — Great *2018-09-17, version 1.0.38* First time riding any of these electric scooters there are so many companies now. I seen many Razor scooters outside and decided to ride a few blocks to the bus stop. Very simple! You just get app, scan barcode, scan your Id/license, add card and you’re good to go! They are way faster than i thought which was great. Maybe 30mph. I’m not sure about all the negative reviews, but for me it worked alright. Only complaint is that they were not as speedy as I would have liked, and the kick stand didn’t seem to want to stay down. Battery dropped over 20% in less than 3 minutes in an area where parking was not permitted. Haven’t reviewed all of my experiences, but it seem razor has let their scooter deteriorate the point the ride is not smooth and very poor. Customer service is very short and does not take the time to discuss your concerns. Literally doesn’t care. Will be using Lime or Bird from now on. After getting stranded, walked to find a bird and it was night and day!
