People must be using it for the wrong thing. This app helps you align your TV antenna to point at the direction of the transmitters so you can maximize your reception strength. It shows you on a map where the transmitters are located and shows what direction your phone is pointing so you can hold your phone to your antenna and rotate it to the exact direction you need. The app works great. ### 5/5 — Just What I Needed *2025-05-29, version 2.2.7* For me this app did just what I need - showed me what stations are transmitted and from where - as I live rural with several more distant cities around me - once I knew where the signals are transmitted from I pointed my antenna correctly and rescanned - and get great reception from my RCA antenna! ### 5/5 — Free and easy to use *2024-11-18* My antenna was taken down when my roof was replaced. I climbed my roof many times and tried directing the antenna every which way with poor results. I was at my wits end when I found a reference to this app in a blog. The app turns your smartphone into a compass and helps you orient the antenna like a pro would. Best of all is free and all it needs is your address. One critical fact you need to find out is what side of the antenna is considered the front as that is what need to face the direction that the app provides. This app saved me hundreds of dollars as was considering buying a larger antenna. Direction found and strong signals coming in. ### 5/5 — Helpful *2024-02-11* I live between two major markets and was unsure which towers would be closer (it could go either way, depending on which side of town the towers were placed; in my experience they are in outskirts, not downtown). This app was recommended by Wirecutter, so I gave it a try. Here’s What I really liked: 1. It does not collect data 2. It provides information specific to my address 3. I could choose which channels I am interested in getting (i.e., CBS/KENS because they are the one broadcasting the Superbowl today) 4. I got a visual of all the towers, labeled with the station names 5. There is an indicator ray starting at my house on the map. It turns from red to green when you line up with a tower… this made it really easy to choose the best window for my needs. The “helpful” review that this app is worthless if you know basic geography was just wrong. Depending on which station/market I want, optimum placement really could be any side of my house. ### 5/5 — App works *2023-10-25, version 2.2.3* Just open the app, put your address and aim the antenna with your phone.
