### 3/5 — So so - fix AI insights

*2026-05-09, version 2.0.13*

Had it for 7 days, have decided to commit to the experience. Though so far teaches me what I know. How much I eat, when, why. It’s the changing it that I need…. Let’s see. I also find it annoying that after I record each meal I wait patiently whilst the AI swirls but nothing changes, no AI insights appear….? Why not? Always blank. Is the app broken here?

### 3/5 — Great app

*2026-01-21, version 2.0.13*

I really love this app so far. My only comments would be that it sometimes crashes and exits the app randomly. Also on the Trends page, I think the happy and mad faces are backwards on the graph. Based on my data, I think happy faces should be at the top and it’s tracking the line backwards currently.

Coming back to this review, at some point when I updated the app it erased my progress and put me back on Module 1, even though I had made it to the Strategsit level. This was very demotivating and I haven’t continued using the app since.

### 3/5 — Good not great

*2025-12-16, version 2.0.13*

The AI feedback is slow and annoying when trying to input food and feedback.
There should be physical feelings as well as emotional feelings when entering mood (headache, pain etc).

### 4/5 — Great app

*2025-03-03, version 2.0.2*

I really love this app so far. My only comments would be that it sometimes crashes and exits the app randomly. Also on the Trends page, I think the happy and mad faces are backwards on the graph. ### 3/5 — Triggering latest update.

*2025-02-13, version 2.0.0*

The program is solid with multiple therapies learned in small chunks daily over 3 months, but the new update is horribly triggering. For a lot of binge eaters they shouldn’t be logging their food because it makes the problem much worse after chronic dieting cycling, and while that used to be one option, it’s now front and center, expected. It needs to go back into the background asap before it does damage.

### 4/5 — I am hopeful and happy

*2024-11-26*

R.care has been incredibly helpful for its accountability, user-friendly platform, educational resources, and food tracking features. As I became older, I could no longer rely on food as my comfort zone, as each binge took a toll on my health. Recognizing the need for proper coaching, I found R.care indispensable in overcoming binge eating habits and making healthier food choices, which are now more important to me than ever.

### 5/5 — Sustainable habits

*2024-10-30*

I never thought I’d break free from the endless loop of binge eating and restrictive diets, but this is the first time I feel hope. I’m finally learning to eat with intensions and awareness. Every day brings a new insight, and I find myself taking notes for myself to remember those moments that touch my heart. This journey is becoming the most valuable thing in my life. I'm really grateful to find this path.

### 5/5 — Structured but fun

*2024-10-25*

After being discharged from a residential program for my eating disorder, I felt like I lost the structure and support I needed to stay on track. This app been an absolute lifesaver. It offers the daily check-ins and tools I relied on during treatment, so I don’t feel like I’m navigating recovery alone. It’s helped me stay focused and connected to the progress I made.

### 5/5 — Analyzing my own triggers

*2024-10-22*

Learning has been essential for me in overcoming binge eating. This app has opened my eyes to the psychological aspects of my behavior. I recall a lesson on self-compassion that shifted my perspective completely. Now, instead of punishing myself for a binge, I reflect on what triggered it and how to avoid it next time.

### 4/5 — Positive drivers

*2024-10-18*

The toll of binge eating was just too much. I had the drive to beat binge eating, but I couldn’t maintain it. This app has been a game changer since it gives me a sense of accomplishment, and I’m constantly gathering new ideas for the next step. It feels sustainable and i feel more empowered. If you feel lost, give a try since you can have a free trial.

### 5/5 — Start with the trial

*2024-10-10, version 1.0.37*

I don’t think this app is for everyone. But if you are like me and more on the geeky side, wanting to make daily progress, this app will be the most powerful tool to build a healthy relationship with food.

### 5/5 — The app understands me

*2024-10-10, version 1.0.37*

The caring words and thoughtful reminders of this app truly make me feel understood and motivate me to stay focused on my goals. It’s like having a coach who really cares about my journey.

### 5/5 — Recovery companion

*2024-10-09, version 1.0.37*

Leaving the support system of a treatment center for my eating disorder was daunting. My therapist introduced me to this app to help me adjust, and it’s been a lifesaver. The app provides the kind of daily encouragement and accountability that I had in the treatment program, making the transition to life at home so much smoother. It’s been a crucial part of staying on track and not feeling so alone in my recovery.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2025-09-09, version 2.0.11*

This is the WORST!!! I paid for this app a month ago and I still can’t access it. My attempts to contact support are still unanswered. The app is bad and the support unavailable. Don’t WASTE your money. Two thumbs down!!!👎🏻👎🏻

### 1/5 — Keine Probezeit

*2025-06-14, version 2.0.8*

Trotz Zusicherung eines 7 tägigen Probezeitraums wurde Jahresbetrag sofort fällig und abgebucht.

### 1/5 — YOU GOTTA PAY

*2025-04-01, version 2.0.4*

it’s so expensive and i thought it was free

### 1/5 — exploitative

*2025-03-17, version 2.0.2*

so maybe if you’re trying to help people with EDs, don’t exploit them with a paywall? if you wanted to help people, you wouldn’t be profiting off of it. insane that there isn’t a free option.

### 1/5 — cant use it

*2024-12-31, version 1.0.40*

i was so excited to find a way to encourage myself in recovering from binge eating but it costs money. it's 8.99 for 30 days and that just feels kinda unreasonable. i just cant do that with my money state rn

### 1/5 — Advertisement was a lie

*2024-11-01, version 1.0.38*

It said it was free why do you wait after I create an account to ask for payment.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2024-10-08, version 1.0.37*

The app is buggy, at least it is on iPad.I can't use it at all on my phone. Both of my devices OS are up to date. The performance is poor, many images are illegible as they are too small or font is too faint, even when expanded to max.most of the time it will not expand at all for me. Very disappointing user experience.

### 1/5 — It does cost money

*2024-09-24, version 1.0.36*

Not transparent that this costs at least $100/year. FYI

### 1/5 — Pay Trap / Scam

*2024-08-12, version 1.0.33*

Claim to have 7 days trial(never had a trial before) but immediately takes away money from your card. Already email them and no one replied. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE REPORTED.

### 1/5 — Costs money

*2024-08-07, version 1.0.33*

It didn’t say anywhere in the app store about costing money. I installed this as a 17 year old binge eater but I don’t have a credit card so can’t use it.

### 5/5 — This app is a gift

*2024-12-21, version 1.0.40*

This app has been a blessing. I was trying to get a binge eating therapy but my insurance unfortunately couldn't cover it. Thanksfully this app offers an affordable solution that has had a HUGE impact on my struggle with binge eating. Despite its accessible price, the app provides comprehensive resources and a supportive environment that have empowered me to make positive changes. I am grateful for the affordability and effectiveness of this life-changing app.

### 5/5 — Celebrating every step forward

*2024-12-20*

I used to go to bed feeling disgusted after late night binging. This app helped me get out of that little by little. It really celebrates every achievement I make, which fits me really well. I feel like i'm getting a step closer to the binge eating recovery everytime I use this app.

### 5/5 — I tried many apps

Among the various apps I've tried, this one has become my favorite for addressing binge eating. Its accessible platform and insightful resources have made it a standout choice for me. I appreciate the app's user-friendly interface and the sense of kindness it has brought into my life.

### 5/5 — farrrr better than weight loss apps

*2024-12-03*

I've finally found an app that promotes a healthy and sustainable approach to food without succumbing to toxic diet culture. It has helped me understand why restrictive diets are harmful, empowering me to regain control of my eating behaviors and develop a more positive relationship with my body.

### 5/5 — R.care

*2024-11-25*

R.care has truly transformed my life, no question about it. I had been stuck in a cycle of binge eating for years—alternating between starving myself to lose weight and then gaining 20-30 pounds from binging. My entire relationship with food has shifted; I now feel satisfied without the self-hatred. What's more, I've developed a genuine love for my body, not because I've shed pounds but because I'm treating myself better. I've tried countless diets and weight loss programs, but R.care is different. It's not about weight but more about understanding what is blocking me to have a health & sustainable relationship with food and helping me work on it. While the lessons may sometimes seem obvious, they serve as vital reminders of my goals. My wish? They urgently need to add a save feature for the lesson. There's so much valuable content in the lessons—writing about bad habits and long-term goals—but none of it gets saved. It's frustrating that such a basic feature isn't available.

### 5/5 — My favorite feature is

*2024-11-20, version 1.0.39*

the AI based food logging feature. It makes me feel so much more at peace with my choices, no guilt, no anxiety. I actually cried the first time it told me to enjoy a piece of chocolate and to be mindful. I needed that. Binge eating feels so isolating, and knowing that there’s something out there that understands and supports me—it’s honestly life-changing.

### 5/5 — I clicked the ad that said Duolingo for binge eating

*2024-11-18, version 1.0.38*

I had such a strong drive to recover from binge eating, but I couldn’t figure out how to channel it. The damage of binge eating has been enormous, both physically and mentally. Then I found this app. It’s exactly the learning path I needed, guiding me step by step. Each day, I take a small step forward, learning about my habits and how to make better choices. I feel a sense of accomplishment as I gather new insights on what to do next. Every now and then, the app gives me an ‘aha’ moment that pushes me forward.

### 5/5 — Tired of restrict-binge cycle?

*2024-11-14*

After years of cycling through binge eating, fasting, and restrictive diets, I’m finally learning what it means to eat mindfully. It’s strange, and honestly, it feels like a revelation every day. I keep screenshotting quotes that resonate deeply with me—they’re reminders that this journey is about more than food; it’s about reclaiming my life. Thank you so much.

### 5/5 — If you feel lost

*2024-11-11*

I had so much motivation to conquer binge eating, but despite that, I somehow felt lost. This app has given me the tools I needed in just the way I imagined. Every day, I learn something new about my eating patterns, and each step I take feels like progress. It’s like I’m collecting pieces of a puzzle, slowly figuring out what to do next. Sometimes, I even have those epiphany moments. Each day, I feel stronger, more focused, and like I’m truly improving.
