All I would like to do is log in and see availability and what resorts are there and see ratings. That’s it. I’m not trying to even book anything. When you have to log in everything you click on something, it is an exercise in frustration. The “Stay logged in” check box does nothing. Every other screen it is asking me to log in again. I tried to use the app for all of 3 minutes and had to log on over 10 times. I eventually gave up. I don’t want to have to call in just to ask if there is a resort in XX area but I will and waste your time if this isn’t fixed. It would be quicker to stay on hold than use this app. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-07-13, version 1.0.5* This app is terrible. It has made me consider selling my time share. It glitches for days or weeks at a time where the buttons do not work. I find a resort I like, press to select it. I can see that it has registered my touch, but then goes no where. Trying to select unit size does not work. Cannot look up a resort by name or number. Simple searches cannot be done. Then if you finally miraculously get somewhere on the app, it kicks you off in the middle of your booking! I have never ever written a bad review, but after over 10 years I am fed up! I just want to go on a vacation, and not been stressed out by the app I am attempting to book with. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2022-04-24, version 1.0.5* I totally agree with previous review, after a year, still same story, on top of that same things happens on their website, terrible service and whole RCI story was a scam, no way for me to move out, I have spend thousands to have this service through GEVC company, both scam company, never trust this vacation clubs or time or what ever share companies. I hoped i was able to see such a review before i made such a mistake 6 years ago. ### 1/5 — Slow, user friendly. *2022-03-21, version 1.0.5* It’s difficult to find a place to vacation, using the App. The app is slow and lags. Idk what the solution is but it has to improve some how. It would be nice if we were able to just type in a resort and see what the availability is. Instead we have put in dates first and hope our resorts come up with availability. It Informs me of no availability without telling me what dates are available. Very tedious and time consuming to search for available vacations. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2022-02-09, version 1.0.5* I seriously do not think it would be possible to make a more worthless app even on a day or call mom a 12-year-old with programming skills could make something better than this without even understanding the timeshare business. This app tells you all you need to know about the integrity of the timeshare business as anyone who’s a decent person would be embarrassed by this it would make moves to correct it when they saw how absolutely pathetic it was while working ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2022-01-14, version 1.0.5* What is wrong with the people responsible for this app? It is always slow to respond, freezes, or takes you back to sign in multiple times during a single use. My internet service is excellent and 300MB speed so I know for a fact that’s not it. I agree with others, this has been an issue for quite a long time. It can’t be for lack of money to fix it as RCI gets plenty of that from all the fees charged for exchanges and multiple other ridiculous “services”. Someone from RCI needs to step up and explain to all members why this can’t be fixed. I am about fed up RCI and ready to move on to a better exchange company. ### 1/5 — This app deserves a negative rating *2021-11-27, version 1.0.5* This is by far the worst and most useless app. Cannot search without constantly signing back in. Shameful that RCI cares so little about it’s members that it fails to improve the functionality of this app. Aside from hassles of constantly re-signing in, the searches repeatedly freeze and reset. Have yet to successfully book through this app. ### 1/5 — UPDATE THIS APP *2021-11-20, version 1.0.5* I would give this app 0 stars if possible. This has to be the absolute worse app I’ve ever used. With all the other apps out there for traveling this app alone has made me consider selling. I have owned for over 10 years and it seems like not 1 single upgrade has been done to improve the user experience on this app. It is easier to call the 800 # and be on hold. COME ON!! 1. Face ID is selected but doesn’t work 2. You are required to enter password every time you switch categories 3. The back button exits your search and makes you start over—so frustrating! 4. The app freezes constantly. I could go in and in but what’s the use… you get the point. ### 1/5 — Worst travel app *2021-06-27, version 1.0.5* By far the worst travel app I use. I hate this app but I hate the website on my phone just as much. We love RCI in general but VRBO has such a better app it is so much easier to search and explore vacation destinations. As an executive in the IT world I would strongly encourage RCI to invest in their app, especially in this day and age when everyone is exploring and booking vacations off of apps. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2021-05-25, version 1.0.5* Hands down the most useless app that I have ever encountered. My six year old could have done a better job at producing better functionality. This pathetic attempt to give the impression that RCI has in any way made it easy or convenient for their members to feel anything other than duped does nothing other than totally exemplify the EXACT reason why time shares have such a bad reputation. Now I’m wondering if I am just another victim. ### 1/5 — Is there less than 1 star rating possible *2021-05-18, version 1.0.5* Useless app. Filtering ok but then takes forever for choices to pop up. Only works in vertical not horizontal position so very difficult to see location maps. Not easy to navigate at all. Difficult to create a list or desires or locations for comparison and reference. Maps are a joke. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2021-04-30, version 1.0.5* I use apps for traveling all of the time and your app is absolutely horrible. After almost every search, you have to sign back in. You press a button for an option and nothing is returned. Trying to find a vacation spot is impossible. The only thing I got to work is to combine deposits and pay for that. It’s such a shame that as a paying member, I cannot use this app to plan a trip. ### 1/5 — Steaming pile of crap *2021-02-18, version 1.0.5* Everything requires me to login constantly. The tabs at the bottom take me to nonfunctional pages which are unaware of the fact that I’m logged in. The search is horrendous and I can’t use the back arrow because that will take me out of search entirely. I have to tap the “back to search” link. Half the time the search results freeze and I have to try to give to another land and then back all while trying not to leave my search as that will kill my search entirely. ### 1/5 — You’ve had YEARS to fix this! 0 STARS *2021-01-30, version 1.0.5* I never write reviews but I have to say this app is so worthless I absolutely had to take the time to write! Why even have this app? You can’t search without it crashing. You have to sign in 15 times within 15 minutes because it kicks you out after every search parameter. And that’s on top of the search not working correctly in the first place! Wow! Just take it down if you don’t plan on fixing this! It’s really frustrating when you’re in a hurry and you’re just trying to find something to book quickly while on the go. I would have figured this would’ve been fixed by now . I’ve had this app for YEARS and it’s still not fixed!??? Why even have an app? ### 1/5 — Ridiculous *2021-01-20, version 1.0.5* The most useless and frustating and worst designed app on the whole internet. C’mon, RCI, trash this blasted thing and fire the designer. Sheesh!!!! A ten year old child could do better than this. UGH! And trash,also, the condescending phrase “Your feedback is important to us”. How can that be, when these disparaging comments date back over a year.?? So much for “important to us”. YOUR MEMBERS are paying TOO MUCH for being ignored. Get with it, PLEASE. ### 1/5 — Completely Useless! *2021-01-17, version 1.0.5* This app is pointless. I’ve never been able to use it to do anything. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall and nothing works. I always have to end up getting on the computer to do anything. It makes me sign in every time I click anything on the app. I’ll go through the excruciating process of filtering down to what I’m looking for, only to be thrown out and have to start all over again. This app, just like this company, is garbage. ### 1/5 — The worst app I’ve ever had *2021-01-08, version 1.0.5* As others have said, if I could give it zero stars I would. Will not save login. Screen turns white constantly, having to re-login. Crashes, glitches, genuinely the worst app since I’ve owned an iPhone, for many years. My 11 year old could build and design a more efficient app platform. It symbolizes RCI perfectly, making it so hard to book a vacation, they want you to give up and lose your money and weeks. I hate this company, I hate this app, and I’ll be spending the next year trying to get out of this albatross. ### 1/5 — Horrible and absolutely useless *2020-08-23, version 1.0.3* The app, when not asking me to login continually, freezes. It is impossible to navigate and doesn’t even fit in the screen properly on some pages. It is impossible to use for even the most basic tasks. My advice to users is don’t even waste the space on your phone. Shame on RCI for letting this go on for so long. App development has come a long way and for this company to have such a disaster of a platform is quite frankly insulting to members. You’d be better to do away with the app altogether. It reflects poorly on you and will definitely make me take a moment to seriously think about if I want to renew my relationship with the company when the time comes. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Read the reviews: they obviously don’t care *2024-04-06* Just skimming the most recent reviews tells you all you need to know. The app is so sloooow you think it is locked up. Lots of nice pictures to look at, as long as you don’t actually want to DO anything. Searching is a joke. This iOS app doesn’t work on an iPhone! Trying to deposit is like pulling teeth. They ask you all kinds of details you couldn’t possibly know, about a resort/week you have already deposited multiple times in the past. Good grief. Do they do any user testing at all? Was this written and maintained by first year interns? What company doesn’t allow special characters in their passwords? Why does logging in to the app not accept a new password just set through their password reset process? Are there really NO properties on St. Thomas? I regret renewing our RCI membership. You can’t even search resorts if you don’t deposit a week first! Talk about a way to turn off members! Seems like the best way generate business would be to show what you’ve got! Nope, not RCI! ### 1/5 — No updates in THREE YEARS? How irresponsible *2023-10-30* It’s just remarkable how consistently bad the reviews are. Nearly 100% bad. So many that say “I’d rate zero stars if I could”. It’s just not functional at all and it’s no surprise as you haven’t updated it in 3 years? (And just 4 updates 3-4 years ago, when it was first released? How can you despise your customers so much that you would spend ZERO resources to improve the customer experience? All while increasing your fees over the same time period!? ### 1/5 — Typical RCI application - trash! *2023-09-24* I just got an iPad and have found all the apps I’ve installed work pretty well and are designed to take advantage of the tablet’s size. But depend on RCI to have a three year old version that is sized for a phone format. Is it me - am I missing an iPad version in the App Store. Why can’t RCI do anything right when it comes to their apps and website. They’re all terrible but this seems the most inexcusable. Fire whatever contractors/developers you have and start over!!! ### 1/5 — How can RCI be considered a world class travel company with an app this terrible?! *2023-06-21* Like the other people who have invested time to review this worthless app, RCI should scrap this app and the team responsible for developing and supporting it and start from scratch. The only two ways you can successfully research travel options to make travel decisions for the RCI investment we make is via a phone call (the best option, but RCI continues to reduce headcount thinking their online channels are effective… and they're not) and via a PC. All other options are mostly a waste of time and effort. A zero stars out of 5! ### 1/5 — It keeps getting worse *2023-02-13, version 1.0.5* This is the worst app of all the apps I have on my phone. During this week I have not been able to search for anything. It says to select a region below, and the screen is blank. There are so many other things wrong and I don’t have all night. RCI fees go up every few months so surely you can afford to hire a new IT department. I wrote this review a long time ago but no one answers. I’d seriously consider scrapping this version and starting from scratch with a different lead developer. As a new member of RCI this app is woefully unimpressive and moreover it’s proven useless in my efforts to find a vacation destination. All I want to do is find availability in the specific City I’m seeking to visit, not entire regions. Cities such as NYC, but you force me to search an entire region. I have since deleted this app freeing up valuable space. Frustratingly, I made the move the website which is only marginally better. I’m forced to offer a single star zero stars was not an option. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2023-01-16, version 1.0.5* Might be the worst app I’ve ever used. Haven’t used it in a few years and it somehow got worse. On my iPad 1/2 of the screen is not used. Froze up numerous times when trying to load the vacation search. Tried multiple times to run a basic search and never got a return. Just a terrible app. If I was allowed to rate it zero stars I would have. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2023-01-13, version 1.0.5* I keep thinking that they’re going to update this app and make it better because it is not user-friendly whatsoever! You have to keep logging in over and over and God forbid if you push the back button, it takes you right back to the very beginning and you have to start your search all over again. As of right now, I can’t even log into the app or change my password or anything and this is been going on since yesterday. I finally deleted it and I’m trying to re-download it to see if that makes a difference. Do something! ### 1/5 — Slow as molasses, will not stay logged in, & More! *2022-11-25, version 1.0.5* This is the most frustrating app! Even though you check Remember Me it requires login every time and when you want to switch between apps to check on flights or something else it logs you out! It doesn’t remember your search and keeps going back to the beginning so you have to redo everything. It should also allow multi-selection of regions and exchange points. ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2022-10-31, version 1.0.5* I have contacted RCI numerous times over the years about how this App boots one off , can’t stay logged in or is totally unresponsive. Every representative blames “user error”. They really need to upgrade this terrible App or take it down and hire more people to handle calls. How can a billion dollar company be so callous about listening to their customers? It had my current account info. Granted: I did not attempt to book anything and only spent 15 minutes using it. Hence, only can give 3 stars at this time. Will write a new review once I have used the app some more. ### 2/5 — Right Idea *2020-08-12, version 1.0.3* I like the concept of the app but, you seem to have several bugs to overcome. I get kicked out. I set up my finger print option and it works about half the time. The back arrow should have a comment to the effect do you want to leave this search. Otherwise you have to go to the top of the page a tap continue search. App is frustrating. It does have benefits but cumbersome. ### 2/5 — The app works but has annoying authentication issues *2020-07-28, version 1.0.3* It works the same as the website. Unfortunately it constantly makes you authenticate. Sometimes it will let you search but then the login has timed out and then it won’t let you authenticate again. This is much better than what we had a few years ago. ### 2/5 — Doesn't care to filter or go on to next page *2020-01-12, version 1.0.2* Just tried viewing 36 units and it would only go as far as the first 12. Hit the arrow and it's white space. Try to filter and it's white space. I can't even imagine attempting to make a reservation using this app. Almost as if RCI doesn't want it to be used 🤔 off to the website on my laptop if I want to go anywhere. ### 2/5 — Meh... *2019-12-15, version 1.0.2* This app is better than the last one, but still not very user friendly. How am I not able to type in a search? My only option is to go through the search menu, but I should be able to type in a resort name or location without having to go through the menu train to find it. ### 2/5 — Better than the last, but not great *2019-09-09, version 1.0.1* I agree with the previous reviewer. This version of the app is better, but still not great. In this new app there doesn’t seem to be a way to swap between points and weeks logins, and the touch login only works when it feels like it, maybe 2 of 10 times. Speed has improved, filter is quicker, but the app and overall experience is still clunky and way more laborious than it should be. **Developer response:** Thank you for your comments. Please be sure to provide feedback as your experience changes. ### 2/5 — Better than the last one *2019-08-23, version 1.0.0* The only reason I didn’t give it one star is because this app is mildly better than the one it replaced. So it’s got that going for it. The old app was a poor interface that just loaded up their terrible website that wasn’t mobile friendly. This at least uses app-like interaction, but it’s still clearly constrained by having to interface with the same backend. Searching for anything is laborious. 52 taps later you might get a list of things to look at, but don’t tap the “<“ arrow in the corner. That doesn’t take you back one step, it starts the whole thing over.
