The automatic stop on a recording if phone is not open on app is very restrictive and not practical. ### 2/5 — UNREADABLE library titles. *2024-12-09* The version of this app that I downloaded in 2020 worked great. But the current version makes it impossible to read the tittles for my recordings. The date only is displayed in the library. If I want to read the title I have to click on every single recording individually. This is a HUGH time waster. ALSO this app does not synch between iOS devices using the iCloud. I’d like to record on the phone and edit on the iPad. This app won’t allow it. In der Central App wird alles angezeigt und kann gut verwaltet werden, aber in der Reporter App wird nur das Interne Mikrofon ausgewählt. Schade, aber diese App erfüllt ihren einzigen Zweck aktuell gar nicht.. But in menu in app I can’t choose stereo or mono mode. ### 1/5 — Cannot update firmware on iOS *2023-11-17, version 1.1.31* Per Rode’s own support article, the VideoMic Me-C is only able to get updated firmware via the Android app. Firmware updates are not available via iOS. ### 4/5 — Auf den ersten Blick ganz brauchbar. *2023-11-17* Habe mir die App gerade installiert, weil ich auf der Suche nach einer App bin, die einfach nur gute Stereo-Mitschnitte macht. Manches an den Rezensionen habe ich nicht verstanden. Z.B. kann ich die Dateien mit der Funktion teilen in meinen eigenen Dateien speichern und auch benennen. Finde ich jetzt nicht besonders umständlich. Ich finde, die App ist mit den wenigen Schaltflächen wirklich intuitiv bedienbar, was ich bei den meisten Recording-Apps vermisse. Ich habe meine USB-Soundkarte angeschlossen, zwei Mikros und einen Kopfhörer und konnte sofort loslegen und qualitativ gute Stereoaufnahmen erstellen. Einziger Kritikpunkt und deshalb ein Stern Abzug: Die App lässt sich nur im Hochformat bedienen. Da ich die Soundkarte an die USB-C-Buchse des IPads anschließe, kann ich dieses aber nicht mehr aufrecht hinstellen, ich muss also entweder ein Stativ anschaffen oder das IPad waagrecht auf den Tisch legen. Als Musiker würde ich es einfach gerne auf mein Notenpult stellen, aber das geht nun nur im Querformat. ### 2/5 — Ui clunky *2023-11-12* I would love to use this app more but the inability to use it in landscape mode and allow multi-window on iPad Pro seems like a massive oversight and a simple problem to solve. Was allerdings extrem umständlich und nicht nachvollziehbar ist, ist der Weg, mit dem man an seine Dateien kommt. Diese muss man dann umständlich über AirDrop, E-Mail, Dropbox oder ein anderes Verfahren auf seinen Rechner holen. Um ein Vielfaches einfacher wäre es doch, wenn man die Dateien dort finden würde, wo man sie auch erwartet, nämlich zugänglich über den Mac Dateibrowser (Finder) unter dem Seitenleisten-Eintrag iPhone und dort bei den Dateien im Verzeichnis Rode Reporter, das ja vorhanden ist. Dieses ist aber leer!!! Ich habe keine Ahnung, wo Rode die aufgezeichneten Dateien für den Nutzer nervenaufreibend versteckt hält. ### 1/5 — This is a pretty poor app. *2023-06-13, version 1.1.27* It hangs. Doesnt stop recording. ### 3/5 — Nothing special like other Rode product *2023-05-23* I do not know the reason this app should be created by Rode. There's no special features for the rode devices. Unlike Rode Capture, this app cannot change wireless mic setting in the app nor select inputs among bluetooth mic and rode wireless mic. Please name saved files something sane like, YYYY-MM-DD_hhmmss.wav Twenty-four hour time. No spaces, no commas, no other punctuation characters. Yes, I know, I can rename the files but that is a pain to do on the phone. Would be so much nicer if it were sane in the first place. Bonus points, let the user specify a custom format using, for example, format specifiers for the c library function, strftime().
