Update is visually appealing, but instead of adding ability to run in the background (still not present), now stops playing when device idles (so you now chew up battery keeping the screen on), and it also now pauses if you rewind or fastforward (which it did not do before). However, I would like a more diverse content. The information for my field is plentiful, but bit more mental health related topics would be appreciated. I do recommend this app to all my friends. ### 5/5 — Great app *2009-09-06, version 0* AN MD told me about this app the other day and I got it, it's awesome, worth paying for. I'm a RN on a busy med tele floor and this allows you to stay up to date, refresh what you know or learn something new. Mainly when it comes to navigation. I would love to see a more robust favorite function in which the user could mark topics or various series for easy access. Keep it up guys! ### 4/5 — Very good but... *2009-07-02* Well this a very good app. I personally feel it will help me keep upto date with the latest going on in my field, a couple of suggestions, somehow volume of the station is too low when put on the iPhone speaker, when listening to any station on pressing back the stream stops please make it continuous till the app is exited or station is changes, I also had some issues streaming most of the streams except the live stream. Tried this and the other ReachMD app. Several times I tried! Checked all registration info which was good and it just continues to kick me back to registration page. ### 2/5 — Bug fixes *2015-11-17* I love the content, but the app will not allow me to login. I have to either listen live or go to the internet to login and select topics. I do have three complaints. 1. It does not have a favorites feature so that you could save programs/podcasts in a favorite list for easy access later. 2. It lacks some of the features from the ReachMD website. Such as the ability to download the podcast directly to your phone. If I was able to download the podcast for later listening, I wouldn't mind not having a favorite's feature. 3. Won't run in the background while multitasking. Making it somewhat useless at times. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, Fototico. We’ve released a new app today (February 1, 2023) that allows you to save programs to your own personal library for access at any time as well as the ability to choose your preferred media format. With these new features, you are also able to download a podcast file to listen to an episode offline. The new app also syncs with CarPlay and can play programs in the background while you use other apps on your device. We hope you will give our new app a try and be a part of the knowledge with ReachMD! ### 3/5 — They Still Make You? *2021-11-15, version 2.4* I used to really enjoy listening to this on XM radio back in 2009 until they took it off the air. I downloaded this app about 4 years ago and pretty much forgot about it. I was cleaning up my iPad and launched this and it still works! Doesn’t work on iPad visually but I was still able to listen to a nice lecture and earn some CME. Amazing. I guess I’ll start listening again. Unfortunately it won’t play in background and that’s a major issue. Perhaps they are elsewhere like YouTube. In any case, it’s like running into an old friend. You guys need to make this app compatible with iPad. I hardly ever do anything in this phone anymore except Facebook and YouTube.
